A hole in one~ The thoughtful look that had emerged on the purplehead was swiftly replaced with one of happiness as her very first idea she propose got approved immediately. This would definitely look good on her grade...if indeed, she was graded in first place. She pondered asking her about it but then shrugged, if she was being tested she'll definitely know at some point anyway.
"Car trouble? I've had a fair share of those myself so I believe I can handle it." Kasumi replied with a nod. Besides it was not like she had to pretend to be someone else. When Cheshire mentioned about seduction games the girl smirk slightly. After ensuring that there were no obstacles in front of them she would turn around to face her with her hair tucked over her ear. Her eyes would lock with Cheshire for a moment, the smile never left her face.
"Maybe. For a cutie like you, I'd make it perfect."
Keeping the gaze for a bit even as they were speeding down the roadway, she finally let out a chuckle before focusing back on the road. That little interaction had all but dispersed her nervousness earlier and she was even becoming more enthusiastic for the mission.
"Definitely. If you have any preparation or the like you wish to do Chesh now would be the best time to do it." Kasumi added as she look for the side of the road to park the car on.

The rubix cube slides smoothly under her fingers and with it her breathing becomes even. The clacking of the cube in her grip was soothing to her ears, her fingers quite familiar with it's surface. With the cube being small enough to fit her palm, she was about to check the time when she felt something approaches from her flank. It appears to be a kitty at first before transfigure into one of the underboss. For a second a look of surprised can be seen on her face, before she smile and pocket the cube in response.
"I find it calm my nerves Ma'am." she replied, giving a small smile in response as she stood at attention. Judging from her experience with the others, formalities was never a big thing in this organization. Still, it didn't feel right to just call her superior by her name either. Though her eyes were focused on Ivory, she couldn't help but notice that the only people here were two of them...unless they happen to be in other form as well, in which case there was no way to know for sure.
"To what do I owe the pleasure of this meeting?" Kasumi asked next.

Kasumi shot a dirty look towards the man at the nickname although she ultimately decided to ignore it. If they get caught because she let her temper flare and brawl with him inside the pigsty, dirty laundries were the least of her worries should she return to the guild. Pulling herself up, she wrung her hand slightly to get rid of the mud sticking to her gloves.
Another pig fall prey towards Orion's grasp, once more thrashing and squealing and flinging mud all over. Fortunately she was prepared this time...less so was her partner who get an eyeful of the thing. Her own mouth curled into a snigger, half contemplating that she could just let him be like that while hugging the pig. Which she would, if not time was of the essence. Fetching the flashlight that she drop earlier, once more the girl would direct the light into the ear to look for the mole.
"Not this one either. Let go of that pig already."
Wiping the mud from the wrist watch, she realized they barely have couple of minutes left. And there was no guarantee the thief would change shift right on the dot, as there was always a possibility that they may come sooner.
"Try this." Kasumi said as she spotted another heart shaped tattoo on the pig's posterior before holding it still. As she do, she began to wonder whether they would they be able to find the right pig in time...

Blood and Bone[Ivory/Fight]

A full body mirror reflected a woman in blazer and skirt, lavender eyes filled with resolve underneath. It was just yesterday that one of her fellow capone sought her, informing the woman that she was being sought after by the underboss. Although she was not told as of why, the location given towards her gave her a hunch on what may await. Tapping her cheek slightly to psyche herself, she nodded before making her way towards the destination.
A habit of Kasumi when it comes to appointment was to arrive at least 10 minutes earlier before the time agreed upon. While she hate making others wait, the reason that she wanted to be early was to calm her nerves. It would be poor form if she stuttered or trip on her words, in front of the underboss at that. They had met only once even then at the party and halfway through the bottle. Some people behave completely different when handed a bottle and she didn't know how she was when she's sober, nor would she want to test her patience by being late. At least, at first.
Upon reaching the training field, the purplehead casted her gaze towards the training field to see for any signs of Ivory. If she was't there, her hand would take out a small rubix cube from a keychain before she began to fidget over them, changing the position of the colours around and back to it's original position.

Kasumi watched as the pig trashed and squirm in the man's grip, sending mud everywhere. Wiping away the mud that covered her lips, she cast the light down the pig's ear to look for the mole. With her eyes squinted, she immediately shook her head upon discovering the absence of the identifying feature.
"Not this one, let's try that one next." she said, her tone a bit more rougher than intended. She was losing cool in this situation and the smell certainly didn't help. However her footing were unstable and she struggled to balance herself. Kasumi's effort nearly cause her to faceplant in the mud but fortunately her hand reach out on the ground to prevent such fate. A soft curse escape from her lips as she recognize just how close she was to the ground.
"I'm fine, just get that pig." she said even without prompting from her partner. That was a completely embarassing position she got caught into...she just hoped that nobody else get the wind of this. At the very least she wanted to wash away any embarrassment she suffer this day with result. |

There was something different about the air around a farming village as compared to the big city. That fresh country air, the relaxed environment...she had to admit it was a nice change of pace for once. A little errand sent her here and the mage thought, why not a trip to the local market? And she was lucky that she did. The firm, crisp, plump leaves and the juicy, soft aroma lingering and she didn't even have to worry about bumping elbows with the local housewives. Best of all, they're a lot cheaper than buying them from the retail store.
With a totebag containing grocery on one hand and the other holding the fruit, Kasumi talked to the vendor about the price but was interrupted midway by an earsplitting scream. Swiftly turning around to face the source, she could see people running in all sorts of direction but mostly away from whatever the source of noise was. The mage clicked her tongue slightly, handing the produce back towards her vendor before rushing towards the source as well. She wasn't quite sure if whatever crisis had befallen the village was within her capability to handle but at the very least she would help them evacuate the area.

The pungent odor of mud assaulted her nose as she began to move closer around the pen, beam of light moving everywhere to identify the pig with a heart tattoo. If she wasn't built of stronger stuff she probably would have empty her stomach content over here. Helping him count the number of pig branded, her heart nearly sank upon as the number she count rose more than 3.
"Five." she said at last, double checking her own count. Kasumi wondered for a moment if the thief had some easy way to identify the pig other than the mole but her wrist watch told her they don't have enough time to worry about that. Swearing under her breathe, she leapt inside the pig pen so as to directly assist him.
"Now let's find the one with the mole on it's ears. Think you can hold one still enough for more than a few seconds?"
Her nose twitched slightly as some of the mud got splatted over her but she tried her best to ignore that for now. One can only hope that the laundry shop would her clean these mud stains.

Taking the slice of gum offered towards her, she muttered thanks before popping one in her mouth. Cheshire said something about not being eager to kill and the purplehead mage nodded. Kasumi wasn't exactly the bloodthirsty type either so it suited her nicely. What she didn't expect was to have her question thrown back at her, causing her to chew more slowly. Her expression turned slightly more serious as the
woman realized something.
Is she being tested right now? Perhaps even assessing her capabilities based on her decision making abilities. The mage had an idea on how she would approach it but had she known she would be tested she would have come up with more than one. Her mind races as she try to think other alternatives as well as assessing how viable each one would be in her head. Cheshire mentioned that she was not fond of killing...was that some sort of clue? If so, she could certainly narrow down to a less aggressive option until she settled on one.
"Considering we have the advantage of time and location, one option I would suggest is to pretend we have a car problem. Then when the truck comes by, we can ask them for help. As soon as they left the truck to assist us we'd ambush them and hightail it out of here Miss...I mean Chesh." she hastily corrected herself.
Now she would have to come up with another idea quickly should the one she proposed get shot down.

Kasumi exhaled slightly once she make her way towards Orion. Even with little preparation, everything was going rather smoothly thus far that she even dared hope that they may actually be able to finish this early after all. Following Orion's direction, she gave a small nod at his query as she tighten the grip on the flashlight. However, as soon as they entered the barn door she can practically hear a shattering sound of her hope that she would be able to go early.
"What was that about a different pen?" she asked and though her voice was hushed, a trace of annoyance can be heard. She would consider herself lucky if they can identify the hog they needed to steal within the given time, let alone move it. She tested the flashlight functionality by switching it on, giving them the illumination needed to go through the sleeping swines. Time was ticking fast however so she decided to get to it immediately.
"Let's find the ones with hearts on their rear. We'll narrow it down from there." she suggested, her eyes already narrowing slightly as she scrutinize for that symbols. If the thief were overly cautious they would certainly duplicate the mark so as much as she wanted to carry the first one she see, she doubt they would get another chance if it turns out to be wrong.

The absence of dogs made their stealth approach much easier as they only have to consider the late night patrols. With their primary source of detection being vision, the shadows provided refuge for them to take cover under. Listening to Orion's words, Kasumi took a moment as she debated leaving them alone or taking them down, before ultimately decide to go for the latter. She rather not stumble on the guards while moving out the pig.
"I'll knock them out. Make sure to keep an eye out on the others just in case."
With those words Kasumi would suppressed her presence as much as possible as she slipped inside the barn. As they were not mage, she didn't bother to check for magical wards of any sort as she promptly make her way to one. The squeaky floor made it a tad difficult to be completely silent but she was already within range before the thief would recognize her presence as she swiftly knock them out. Once the mage was finished, she would check the thief possession for flashlight before making her way back to Orion.

Drug House[Close/Mission]

"You're right. We shouldn't let our guard down." Kasumi agreed as she take another moment to scan her surroundings. Once assured there was nothing nearby that could potentially swoop out at them she would get out of the car slowly. She take a few steps before looking at the ground, her eyes seems to be focused.
"Footprints. There were also vehicle tracks but... it's quite faint." she said out loud while looking at the tracks left behind. Had the track been more fresh, no doubt the both of them would notice them sooner. Kasumi made another sweeping search around them, her hand giving the door knob a turn but it didn't open.
"Coast is clear. Door's locked though so I'm breaching it." she declared once Berry joined her side.
Channeling the maryoku around her dominant foot, she would kick the door though with just enough force to slam it open as opposed to flying off the hinges. The lights within the building was not working but she was sure if she cast reinforcement magic on her eyes, she would be able to see even without light source. The sound her shoe made as she stepped inside was quite weird, not to mention the strong metallic smell greet their nose. Only by looking down...and perhaps even more visible to the doctor behind her, the purple head mage was actually standing on a pool of blood.

MISSION NAME: Gadget and Grub CLIENT: Odin Spear CHARACTERS: Cheshire Copeland Kasumi ItoMISSION BRIEFING: We've just received word from our scouts that a truck carrying a shipment of electronics and food supplies will be passing the location marked on the map by dusk. Intercept the transfer, stop them from getting to the bandit's settlement, and take whatever you can back to Asgard. Kasumi glanced at the cheap knockoff wrist watch on her wrist, while maintaining her other hand on the steering wheel. The vehicle of choice was once again, the guild loaned black SUV. At the rate they're going, they should arrive about ten minutes earlier than expected. Maybe earlier if she pick up the speed. It was another smash and grab mission but this time their target is a moving truck. So unlike her previous target, they have a smaller window to grab the stuff and a larger chance for things to go wrong. Fortunately the partner she's with this time was not a newbie like herself, a one Cheshire Copeland.
The girl gave her partner a sideways glance. Her partner was fair skinned with adorable black cat ears. While she kept it mostly to herself, she always wanted to touch them. Almost everyone she met in the guild seems to have an attractive pair but she never got the courage to ask. Besides, the risk of that backfiring was high and the last thing she wanted was to be labelled as a creep in the guild she had just joined.
"Ahem, so about this mission Miss Copeland. Do you have any suggestion on how to handle it?"
And that was how she manage to get pigeonholed as the serious type. She could've talk about the weather, choice of music for the trip, hobbies, literally anything but the mission at hand as the opening conversation. But at the same time, she could not help but feel nervous when dealing with someone new from the guild, especially if they are her senior. The mission just felt like a safe topic at this point. Although they do have time before the truck carrying the intended package arrives.

"Thank you for the welcome Mercy Godfrey." Kasumi replied, having recently reminded that there may actually be more than one Godfrey family in the house.
The sudden hug was unexpected, causing Kasumi to tense slightly before shortly returning the embrace albeit in a clumsy manner. She was definitely more of a shaker than a hugger. Exhaling in relief she handed the gift...or rather it was plucked away from her hand without any reservation. Raising her eyebrow slightly, she gave a small nod when Mercy immediately inspect her gift. Her heart swelled upon the approval especially since she know absolutely nothing about the birthday girl safe for being in the same guild.
Another person came into the party prompting Mercy to greet her next. Shrugging, Kasumi would now help herself to look where the empty plate and cups are so she can just get directly to it when the party started. It wasn't until more people came into the room that she directed her attention towards the lopsided dog cake.
"What a delicious looking... cake."
No, not even the connoisseur of mystery herself could hazard what's the shape the cake supposed to be in first place, even if she put her brain on overclock.

What better way to hide a tree than in a forest? Kasumi would turn to focus on the barn indicated, her brows creased as she engrave the detail of the pig into her memory. The heart shape tattoo would be easy enough to spot even with the dim lighting but a tiny mole inside the ear would be a different story. She made a mental note to keep an eye out for portable source of the light.
"Got it. Let's just get this over with." Kasumi replied as she approached the barn. Sticking to the shadows of the tree casted by moon, her feet practically glided over the grass as she made her way to the barn. Her eyes were peeled as she keep a lookout for patrols or dogs near the farm. The last thing she wanted was to have one barking and giving them away before they can even get started.
