Both of them managed to avoid being harmed, the large claw that the zombie had formed only carving into the ground, kicking up dirt and leaving a small gorge in the earth. Regaining its balance, the creature would bound to one side and reposition itself to face its prey, the large mouth snarling and biting at the air. The woman then quickly started running around it with rope, in an attempt to restrict its movement somewhat. However, with a mere kick and slash of its feet, the rope was tugged away. Distracted by this however, caused Hilbert's attack to meet its mark once more, this time directly on its head. Kicking up, it would release a deafening cry before it took off with immense speed once more. With multiple buffs coursing through its corrupted veins, the creature would be able to attack both Hilbert and Naliah twice, clawing and thrashing about in the darkness. With little to no effort from Kasumi, who showed up out of the blue, she would tear through the giant maggots and literally blast them to pieces with her strong punches and kicks. In a few seconds, all three had been downed and reduced to nothing but a pile of acidic goop that left a nasty stench in the air. But the sloppy remains of these creatures would begin to bubble and stir, the liquid starting to be drawn to a single spot on the ground as it converged and melded together. It started to solidify, growing into a humanoid shape composed entirely of writhing maggots, mucus and blood dripped off the disgusting beast, revealing something that appeared to be much more smarter and stronger. The fat larvae formed something resembling arms, and then fingers. One outstretched towards Kasumi, and she would feel magic power leave her body, the energy being torn out her orifices before being drained into the monster, stealing her power. After that, it would dash forwards and spin around, its arms extending to unnatural lengths in hopes of hitting everyone with the maggot arms, while then attempting to infest their bodies with the disease. The creature was quick and nimble despite its large size and strangely developed limbs. It weaved under Nialah, avoiding her attack completely before she defended some of the damage. As for Hilbert, it managed to slam its full wait into him, but was close enough for him to fire another one of those bolts at it. Once again, it explosed upon contact and burnt away at the creatures flesh, the screams of the deceased roaring out in response. Lifting it's large 'hand', the flesh of the undead creature would sprout out extra sharpened bones from the corpse it was using as footing. It's attempt to hide had failed, something sharp had dug into its rear, but it didn't manage to sink in deep enough to cause any real pain. But shortly following this, a bolt of green magic arced across the ground, whizzing through the air before slamming into the side of the great beast with a sizzle and pop. Whatever it was, hissed in annoyance and darted into the darkness again away from them. There were more screams that followed, and then it pounced out up into the air, a few of the people in the caravans shone a light on it, and screamed in sheer terror upon witnessing the beast. It was an abomination, a disgusting construct of multiple human bodies, morphed together to create a horrific creature created by the curse magic of the undead maggots. There were countless bodies fused into one single mass, whole bodies used for entire feet and torsos ripped apart to create mouths. If there were any faces that remained intact, their expressions were contorted in agony and screamed, as if they were still aware of what was going on. There was a plethora of screams and roars coming from every direction of the line of caravans. One moment it was coming from the left, then the right, then it sounded like it was directly above them. With Nialah and Hilbert at the front of the line, they would be spared from the brutal attacks at the back row of the convoy. There was a loud crash, the sound of wood and metal being smashed to pieces. If they looked back, they'd see that an entire caravan had been wiped clean out, all that remained were a few broken planks of wood and two wheels. The creature had taken the entire thing into the darkness off-road. Then another, then another. All that remained were three caravans out of the 7 that originally set off. Sounds of bones cracking and clothes being torn could be heard if the survivors listened closely. After a few moments, it approached them slowly. It was far off in the distance, but it was the size of a small elephant. It's body was fleshy and brown, but too far to make out any details. Not only did Kasumi push past her limits to unleash a devastating blow to the undead forces, but a blinding light came crashing from the sky which purified the putrid and unholy magic that had tainted this part of the world. As Kasumi fell to her knees, the cursed bodies would be burnt into nothingness, flesh and bone evaporating into flecks of light before vanishing into thin air. During this time, Salvatore had quickly made it to the building the girl was supposedly held up in, successfully rescuing the poor soul who had been undoubtedly scarred for life. All remained were three mages and the child, with no source of undead apart from the damaged building and the wounds each possessed.

The violet berserker tore through the zombies with intense force and strain, more limbs were torn and heads were sent flying, but there were just so many. In fact, although it was a powerful attack, it hardly put a dent in them, either that or they were just regenerating at a rapid pace. Even Salvatore's attack didn't really deal any real damage but it was too hard to tell, since it was so dark and stormy. With many numbers in the zombie's ranks still, they'd attempt to claw and bite once more at the mages. While this was happening, the zombies surrounding the building had managed to break through, smashing glass windows and tearing down walls, it was only a matter of time till they found the girl who was hiding.

Their attacks mainly hit, or at least that's what the creatures of plague and disease first thought. One moment it was just mages, and now there was some kind of fox bending reality around them. Some of the attacks had been avoided completely because of it, and the maggots thrashed around further with rage. Then, a powerful concussive blast would slam into them, they'd go hurtling back and roll across the ground before being pelted by fairy dust. One by one, their fat and mucus-covered bodies would lurch forwards towards one of the mages. Their giant jaws would open up wide before attempting to clamp tight around their soft and squishy bodies. As they did this, the sheer weight of them alone would cause the ground to shake and tremble, buildings they had already damaged now collapsing into rubble.

As the spirit's body became a blur within the sandstorm, it would believe itself to be well hidden from the mages and their spirit. Unfortunately, one of them could see into the future, or glimpses of it at least. There was no hiding from this woman, and their teamwork was unparalleled. The magically empowered truck rammed hard into the spirit, grinding it under the wheels and spewing out nothing but sand behind it. The creature had been killed, yet one had fled the scene and was now very far from this current location. It's wounds were severe, and it would be a very long time until it comes back, if it came back at all.
