Sovereign did often forget that everyone in this world was simply just trying to survive, and most people had awful lives growing up and simply living. Society was a mess, but a mess that was under some kind of recovery and control thanks to guilds, and everyone was going through the same shit everyday. Maybe it was his view on the world that surprised him when people stepped in to 'do the right thing'. After all, resources were limited, and so was time. But Koji still decided to fight William as he was simply out of control. But he wasn't always like that.

"My family had seen the dangers of magic, even after many years from the calamity, it still poses a threat even if it isn't at its peak. William wanted to make sure that magic stayed under control, for although it served us well, it was simply too dangerous. Most issues are caused by it, that's something I'm sure we can all agree on."

Sovereign stood up again, taking a few steps towards the building Koji was sat on. "We started off giving people a place separate from that world, people who feared magic and its dangers. We then helped the regulation of magical artefacts that were being dug up from the old world, items that were too dangerous in such a weakened society, it was too early to re-introduce certain things for now. Even people, some are unlucky enough to be cursed with magic beyond their control, thus, they must be watched."

Sovereign was baffled, did she really have such a low expectation of Sovereign that it didn't even for a second occur to her that he was in fact the guild master? The two Sovereigns were very confused, but didn't stop smiling at her. "Oh! The leader, I seeee..."

One of them went over to the door and tapped on it, "Master Sovereign, someone is here to see you."

The door opened, and another duplicate stepped out, holding a scroll and flicking through it, "Yes, yes, I'm very busy. What is it you want."

Then, another Sovereign seemed to appear when she wasn't looking, "Oi, stop messing around. I'm the guild master here, not him."

"What?! Don't be absurd, I'm the real guild master!"

"No, I am!"

They squabbled amongst themselves, trying to mess around with this newcomer who came in like she owned the place. A Sovereign would come up to her and sigh, "Sorry, just ignore them. What is it you want with our guild master anyway?"

Mercy Godfrey

Sovereign tilted his head as Anniken spoke, assuring him she was okay and that he needn't worry. Which was totally fine by him, as he wasn't one to show much concern or sympathy for total strangers. Despite her saying this, she still seemed a little dazed by whatever injury she was suffering from.

Though thankfully, she was still strong enough to inform him of what she knows so far. But what confused him most was the mentioning of 'my guild'. Sovereign made a little squeak, confused and curious. He wanted to ask further, and so he did. 

"Your guild?" He would question, not away from it at all. "Which guild is that, how long had these sisters been a part of it?"

He wanted to be able to have more information himself, but honestly, he still felt like he was lost in the dark. "I'm sorry, but all I know is that one of these people attacked Samuelsonite Town and stole a damaged effigy. I don't remember hearing about two people though, only one. Are you sure you detect the magic from both of them?"

When he thought about it, there was something familiar yet different about the wisps. They were composed of the same element as before, but they seemed more aggressive and sick, like a light that had lost its sparkle. The ones before were smaller and seemed to just be the residue of previous attacks, which the wisps did not leave a trace of. 

"I was told the woman possessed an item that could harness the power of light. It seemed powerful for almost half of a building had been obliterated and it left such a strong amount of ethernano in the area even after it had been used." He'd look towards where the wisps once were, "It's similar to what we fought just now but... Not. These sisters, did they share a similar affinity to light?"

Sovereign looked down to the white slayer, the lizard-woman with pale scales that shimmered like pearls. Feathers poked out from various parts of her body, vibrant against the white and iridescent scales. "Let me rephrase." He said softly, his tone changing to be much kinder all of a sudden. "I'm afraid this guild has lost any kind of purpose. I see people forgetting the family they had been brought into, too focused on their own desires to remember the kindness my brother showed you all. He gave you a home when nobody else did."

Frowning, it was clear that Sovereign was upset by this, and his expression became more neutral as he spoke, yet he would knowingly ignore the topic of Cait Shelter. They were still a sore subject. "By order, I don't mean strict rules on how to behave. What I desire is the best life for you all, and I believe that can be achieved here. With Quatro Cerberus.

"If you will allow me, let me be your guide. Let me show you what strengths you truly possess, to understand everything about your individual differences and what it is you also desire. In return, I need firm hands and hardened hearts, for I have tasks that only people like you can achieve. The thieves, the killers, the arsonists. Let me put your talents to use to protect ourselves from the dangers of this world. Of magic."

Just before this speech began, during the time that Kibi had begun to leave, a figure would soundlesly would appear by her side. A gentle hand reaching out and resting on her own that held the door handle. When she looked round, she would see Sovereign, smiling at her with that unnaturally large smile but with a tenderness that hopefully she would understand. "Please, Kibi, you're just as valuable to us as much as everyone else here."

"My brother trusts many people here, and only few have the pleasure of being individually brought here by him. To lose you would be losing a piece of my brother."

Sovereign hoped that others in similar positions to Kibi and Kaida would understand that.

Kibi Kabat Kaida Lux

"Now there's two of them?!" He cursed, almost annoyed at the fact he wasn't the only thing in the world who could multiply. He bent his knees as he saw the wisps split forces, though both manifesting into similar shapes as they condensed themselves into harpoons. Both shot out towards their targets, Anniken being the first to dispose of it as her sword tore through the light, making the wisps disappear into a formless ethernano.

Sovereign was prepared this time, seeing the light zip through the air he would jump out the way. The harpoon embedded itself into a brick wall, slowly beginning to return to its more larger mass. But Sovereign was quick to counter, a shadow duplicate of himself forming by his side before it also shot forwards in the form of a black harpoon. It hit with precise accuracy, and eventually all wisps had fallen.

Panting slightly, he'd make his way over to Anniken, seeing the slight specs of blood around her lips. How odd, he was sure she hadn't been hit. "Everything okay?" He'd ask, showing concern to the stranger.

But what he'd rather ask if more information on what the hell these things were, but he figured he'd try and be polite.

Honestly, he was expecting something a little more exciting. Maybe it was the tension, or maybe Koji was just a dry, expressionless puss. Either way, it left Sovereign feeling a little excluded. He simply frowned, which was odd after seeing him smile so much. 

"No cool fight? No 'famous last words' moment?" He sighed, "Shame, I was hoping you wouldn't shy away from the details."

He thought back to when he heard the news of his brothers death, he had been out on a mission in a far away town and wasn't able to retrieve the body himself. Although saddened at the time, he simply knew it would have happened eventually.

"Y'know, William's death has upset quite a lot of people back at Quatro Cerberus. Not all have taken it as well as I have." Sovereign started throwing veiled threats once more, "He touched the hearts of many. Many who would have died for him."
