I think Sovereign and Anniken would either get on really well or literally hate each other. At first read I think they would get on quite well, especially since Sov will happily get on with most people. He may seem like a snivelling coward at first, being young and weak and having no backbone to support anyone. But look a little deeper, and she will find that he's managing to run a whole guild by himself, and keep dangerous criminals in line when needed. He pretends to act like he is a pacifist and won't get involved in fights, but he's well accustomed to the art of battle and thoroughly enjoys cracking a few skulls open.
I think what may put Anniken off are his guild members, since most of them commit senseless crimes with no meaning or benefit of society. Sovereign is trying to correct that in a way, but through quite unorthodox means. He aims to direct his members away from petty crimes and towards more risk-taking missions that would still be frowned upon by society. But at least they're putting their skills to something on a grander scale.
If the two do first meet, Sovereign's identity as Guild Master wouldn't be known as it's still quite recent. They could perhaps go on a mission together or we could think of an interesting social thread to do. Let me know what you think so far! :)

Shades of emerald swamped this entire area, overgrown plants that have reclaimed this area as there own. Collapsed buildings stay somewhat held up by the ever growing vines, and trees sprout from the fallen remains of ancient ruins. It's truly a beautiful place to see nature at its strongest here, simply returning balance to the world.
'Is that why my brother chose to die here?' Sovereign pondered on the thought, thinking of how William almost knew he'd lose the battle. It angered him, wondering if his older brother even tried to put up a fight or if he simply dragged out the inevitable. All Sovereign wanted was some answers, to ask a few questions about his brother's final hour before the leader of Cait Shelter took his life. They owed him that much, but still, he couldn't be angry at Koji. He couldn't be infuriated by William's death.
But yet, he was.

So it was true, this celestial spirit had no owner, and was essentially a free spirit unshackled to the commands of another wizard. Did it consume his energy to be in this world? Or had the calamity somehow made it easier for these spirits to slip in and out of the worlds? Sovereign pondered on this thought, and would very much like to learn more about these spirits, especially if they possessed knowledge on the world before the weapons of destruction were unleashed on the world. All that lost history and culture... Would the stars have memories of it still? "You're certainly interesting, I'd love to hear more about-"Sov, too, was interrupted by the churning soil beneath his feet as the muffled moans and cries tore their way through from below him. Hands that had little flesh on them would burst forth, reaching out from all around him like sprouting flowers. Followed by the rotten claws were hideous bodies and torn faces that were dragged out afterwards. It was the undead, hidden beneath them all this time. Now it made sense why there was blood but no proper tracks. 'Dammit!' He thought, cursing himself for not coming to such a conclusion. The attack took him by surprise, and he felt the rigid grip of death around his ankles as he essentially helped it pull themselves up. If he remained in this position any longer, he would be in a situation he couldn't get out of. He used his might to bend his legs and leap away. Before it had fully risen out from the earth, Sovereign had quickly re-positioned himself in a more suitable location, but was still wary of any more attacks from below. Grabbing his mace from his leather belt, he held it softly against his cheek for a moment, and quickly 2 more copies of Sovereign appeared, mimicking the same movements. Leaping forwards, the three moved side by side in perfect unison, reeling back the mace that they held in their right hand, before swinging it down on the zombie that was unlucky enough to rise up. MISSION NAME: Neon Lights CLIENT: Citizens of Basalt CHARACTERS: open to 1 MISSION BRIEFING: Strange lights have been sighted around the ground below the floating city, appearing every night for the past week and flickering closer to the city each time. Some people have already investigated and their bodies were found the morning after. There's worry that whatever is causing this will find a way up to the city and cause even more chaos up there. Please investigate this strange phenomena and put an end to it before it gets worse. Sovereign had made his way down to the ground of the Basalt region, down from the floating town above that was chained down to the earth to prevent them from floating off. It had been a while since he had done a mission, and honestly wasn't looking forward to it. His guild didn't get many requests now, since everyone thinks Quatro Cerberus only take on missions involving murder and thievery, and the mission he was currently on was also not given to them. Instead, Sovereign found out about it himself, and saw the request posted in a more general area for wandering wizards separate from his guild. It saddened him, truly, but he knew that if he wanted the people's trust back then he would need to work for it.
People knew of the change in power within the guild, the death of William Pale and the guilds new successor, but few knew that it was Sovereign who took the position as the new guild master. People knew the name, but not the face. And nobody would have suspected a young man as innocent as he to be the leader of such a terrible group of maniacs.
But if he solved this mission, and made it known it was done by his guild, hopefully that would be the beginning of a new era. To wear a mask of joy and hope once more yet still let his members unleash their fury on what they please.
"Ah~" He smirked, tapping the hilt of his weapon before stepping out into the endless expanse of stone and earth. Jagged spires of rock tore out from the ground, chunks floating above the ground like helium balloons. Tee gravity in this area was low, and allowed Sovereign to almost glide with his steps. There was also a strange hum that came from the ground below him, perhaps due to the strange alteration in gravity and magic in this area.
"So the first sightings of these lights come from the east, from the mountains. I say we begin heading there now and we'll probably come across it soon, it's already getting dark." Sovereign spoke to his partner for this mission, and then began to swiftly leap across the earth towards their destination.

Quite a lot of time does Sovereign find himself in situations that confuse him, or in the company of people that he never thought he'd come across. This was one of those times, not just in the countryside ready to fight off a horde of zombies, but also the fact he's come across a spirit from the stars. One that had a peculiar sense of humour that Sovereign just couldn't put his finger on. Heck, its a humour that reminded him too much of his own, perhaps that's why he felt so uncomfortable at times. Regardless, the obscurity and vagueness of everything he was saying so far made Sovereign question his own sanity. Was he hearing all this stuff right? At first, he believed this man to just be making it all up, a string of silly lies to lighten the mood before the masses of corpses were upon them. But finally, he claimed to be a celestial spirit. "Ooooooh!" Sovereign exclaimed, as if it made total sense now. But really, he was still a little confused. "So is the owner of your key around here somewhere?"The guild master stepped up on his tiptoes, scouting around trying to find someone fairly 'celestial' looking. But nobody seemed interested in them, and were busy with their own things. Sovereign didn't know much about that kind of magic or spirits, but was it possible one could wander freely? Thinking about it now, had Shield simply just walked up to him earlier, or did he literally just appear? "This is... Odd to say the least, Shield." Sov then laughed, grinning as he spoke, "Yes, that crucial part about you being a spirit has definitely filled a few gaps, I think. But a whole century? have you really not been here for that long?"
He supposed that with the whole calamity and destruction upon Earthland, it would have made sense for celestial keys to get lost or even destroyed under rubble. There probably wasn't much use for them during the earlier years of the destroyed earth, since people had to focus on themselves and the rebuilding of civilisation. Well, that was just one theory Sov quickly thought of anyway, he had no idea what was true or false. HP: 200/200 | MP: 100/100 TAG: Jinn Godfrey ATK: 00 DEF: 20 HEAL: 00 STAM: 10 Level: 01

Shaking hands with the man, Sovereign now liked to think of the two as newly made acquaintances. Whether they met again after this or not, Sovereign did love meeting all kinds of new people, especially those that weren't criminals. It was ever so tiring being surrounded by people who only wanted to punch things all the time, so it was a refreshing change of pace to get out of the walled city and into the countryside. The other's confusion to the mentioning of undead would only suggest that he wasn't here for that matter, so perhaps he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Well, that's if there really was anything here that posed a threat in the first place. Perhaps it was destiny that the two would meet... "That is an interesting name, I think I will just have to stick with Shield Guy." Joked Sovereign, placing his hands by his side again and resting it on the hilt of his mace. "I'd hate to mispronounce such a lovely name."Glancing at the shield, he looked at the simple yet unique design of it, a flawless silvery metal with a stunning green gem in the centre of it. Truly a remarkable piece of craftsmanship to whomever created it. "Difficult? Perhaps. I suppose it would depend on who's using it." He jested, feeling a little sad now that his clones weren't with him. "Well, I guess getting in the way of things is much easier than managing a bunch of your other selves. But I'd prefer to just not get hit entirely."Scratching the back of his head, Sov would hum for a moment as he inspected the man. "Why are you here, if you don't mind me asking? Are you not aware of the invasion of mutant corpses from Scoria?" HP: 200/200 | MP: 100/100 TAG: Jinn Godfrey ATK: 00 DEF: 20 HEAL: 00 STAM: 10 Level: 01

Hearing the other voice, they all nodded in agreement and still carried on looking out into the distance. It took a hot second before they clocked that it wasn't Sovereign who was talking, and in perfect unison, they all turned to look over at the other. Only their mouths were on show, but the twisted expression and tilted heads indicated their confusion of the stranger. They then all spoke, three voices at once, "Huh? You're not me."Sometimes Sovereign gets so caught up in his own thoughts and absorbed into the group of his own duplicates that he forgets other people exist too. He would never admit that, but it was something that troubled him, especially since he only had 2 of them at the moment. "Oh, sorry." They all spoke at once again, "I hope I didn't come across as rude."When his attention goes off track a bit, Sovereign finds that it's harder to give each copy individual actions or voices, so he subconsciously allows each one to just copy everything he's doing, or as close to it as possible. "This place?" They'd ask, looking around as if to spot any kind of anomaly. It didn't look very different, the village looked pretty much the same as last time he visited Andesite. "Are you... Here for the undead too?" Sovereign felt silly asking such a question, saying it out loud to another person just made it seem less real than it was. "I thought they'd be here by now. But I suppose it's better to be early." Making sure the mace was strapped to his side, he then stretched his arms behind his back and took a step forwards to the person. As he did so, the duplicates would vanish and he'd hold out his hand in greeting, "Lovely to meet you, call me Sov." Welcome to Hell [Quatro Cerberus Thread]
Aug 26, 2019 13:46:51 GMT
edited on Aug 30, 2019 0:35:17 GMT by Sovereign Pale
Welcome to Quatro Cerberus If you're new to the guild and want a quick interaction with other members or the guild master, feel free to post here. This can be one big thread so it’s easy to just make yourself known and get immersed quickly with other members.
((Be sure to check out the guild's plotter for member rankings and exclusive missions! LINK))
Light seeps through the cracks in the walls and refracts through the stained glass windows, the church building which has housed Quatro Cerberus for a few years now truly reflects the kind of people that it houses: Dark, rotting, with little light illuminating the area. The guild has many members, but only a few are within the building at a time, using it as a retreat when they need a place to hide. But with the recent death of the previous guild master, William Pale, room for a new master has risen up. His younger brother, Sovereign Pale has taken the mantle as leader of the hellhounds and wishes to ‘correct’ the people of this guild. Some question his power and motives, as he had always been the more cheerier soul amidst the murderers and thieves, so why would he think he could lead them? It was simple, he would simply show them. Footsteps echoed as he made his way down the steps from the balcony, his finger running across the banister. He glanced over at the clusters of his gathered members, watching him with suspicious eyes as they shuffled uncomfortably. Sovereign grinned, a wicked smile that looked only the more sinister since the rest of his face was covered by a bronze mask. There were whispers amongst the people below, nervous and mocking remarks. “He’s just a kid.”
“The pup doesn’t know what he’s doing.”
“There’s no place for us in this guild with him leading us.”
Sovereign tilted his head down, smiling even more. For although he was the other side of the church, he heard every word. Or rather, the other ones did. Figures stepped out from the shadows, revealing themselves from all over the church. It was Sovereign, or rather, his duplicates. They’d lean in to the various groups, and in perfect unison their voice would boom in a whisper. “I heard that.” Like a mirror image moving at the same time, they’d each reach out and grab whoever spoke, ramming their heads hard onto a table or wall, or any other nearby solid object. It was quick and strong, surprising everyone in the room. Members cursed and retaliated, only to find they had vanished once more. Up on the stairs, Sovereign giggled like a child, his voice innocent and smooth, “Now, now, you don’t want to talk bad about me already do you? At least give me a chance.” He took a few more steps down, tapping his chin and leaning strangely over the banister. “I’m your new guild master. End of. Unlike my brother, my mind is still intact, and I am fully aware of all your true intentions of joining this guild. Murder, robbery, harassment, vandalism, just a few things off the list of reasons why you sit in this building now.” Sovereign maintained his smile, and started waving his finger around at everyone. “His death hurt us, me most of all. But just because we lost to a cat doesn’t mean we back away. If you wish to carry on doing what you do, then be bloody discreet about it. I will keep my eyes on all of you, and bring some kind of order to the mess this guild has become.”Sovereign spoke the truth, and although he kept it discreet of what he was trying to say, he hoped they had some kind of understanding of what he truly meant. He didn’t want to take away what was given to these people, he didn’t want to abolish the reason most were here in the first place. But at the same time, he doesn’t want to be the bad guy, he wants to be the one who’s trying to restore balance in this community. If he could show the other guilds and factions that Quatro Cerberus was just as good as everyone else, yet still wreak havoc in the shadows without them knowing, then that was enough for him. These people were ruthless and powerful, all they lacked was a smart mind and control to help them better their strengths and focus on the important matters. Petty crimes were beneath these people, and it would be Sovereign to help them reach much bigger goals. TAG: OPEN TO QC MEMBERS ONLY

[attr="class","ion-heart"] don't ya' love this sweet devil?
Highly recommend you read his application bio first if you haven't already! Sovereign comes from a line of wealthy individuals, but obviously none of that has mattered for the last 70 or so years. Regardless, his family have always tried to maintain this social status and used what they could to gather money and resources to help them reach that position they once had. But it didn't work, because social status just wasn't important anymore. Both parents were killed when he was a young teenager, their house burnt to the ground by a powerful artefact and leaving only him and his older brother alive as they fled. Skip to Sovereign becoming guild master of Quatro Cerberus, he has also taken the losses of his family quite badly. He is exceptionally great at hiding it, and maintaining a positive attitude to those around him and wanting to help rebuild society, but beneath the smile and welcoming arms, he is sick and twisted and wants revenge on those who took his family away. FRIENDSHIPS COULD YOU BE DREAMING THAT WE'RE MEANT TO BE?Y'all can be friends for sure. His identity as the guild master of such a nasty bunch of criminals isn't a complete secret, but he doesn't go around announcing it. He likes to keep things discreet, as he feels it would ruin his reputation and cause people to make bad assumptions of him before they even get to know the kid. Being Guild Master, he treats his members as sparks of potential, wanting the best for each one and keeping a very close eye on everyone. If you're new to Quatro Cerberus, be sure to post in the guild thread to say hello and be greeted by others! Thread LinkHATESHIPS WON'T SAY I LOVE YOU - THAT'S CRAZY, YOU SEEIt's only natural that as the face of Quatro Cerberus, his members are going to make him some enemies. Although not directly malicious to anyone, he does have to deal with the angry person here or there after his members have caused some trouble. He's very good at diffusing a situation, either with his innocent charm or wicked aura. WANTS DON'T EVEN TRY TO UNDERSTAND MEI really like juicy plots, with action, shock and emotional trauma. My aim with Sovereign is to have him maintain this facade of being the 'good' one, all innocent and friendly but is actually a cold and ruthless killer. I just need the right opportunities for him to eventually display this anger and power. I'd love Quatro Cerberus to be a fun guild with risk-taking maniacs, going on missions together to take down certain 'do-gooders' to honour the original goal of Quatro Cerberus. ((I'll soon make a more detailed thread about the guild itself)) [attr="class","swedevbot"]

Tsukai likes this
"What do you think?" Sovereign spoke, bending down by a beaten pathway that lead to the village. He pressed his fingers against the soil, rubbing it between his fingers as it stained his gloves a murky red colour. "Definitely blood." Replied another Sovereign, clone or not, they all shared the same mind. It was silly of him to ask such questions when they all knew the answer, but sometimes it was just nice to have someone to talk to. A third copy of him sighed, a mace rested on his shoulder as he looked around, "Do you think they've scouted the area already? And are returning soon? Honestly I just wanted to hit something in the face."The first sighed as well, shaking his head and standing up as he wiped the mud and blood into a handkerchief. "I wouldn't think they'd have the mental capacity to know to scout an area before attacking. It might just be from a wounded animal, merely a coincidence." He paused, turning away from the village and towards the direction Scoria is in, "Still, the warnings say this army of undead is heading out in all directions, save for the north."The three Sovereigns stood side by side, looking out over the expanse of farmland that reached out all sides of this humble settlement. There were no fighters here, only people living their day to day lives and seemingly being rather content with what the world had to offer them. But because of this, it meant they were at great risk of attacks, hence why Sovereign came here. There were some other wizards dotted about, but most of the defenses had gone to towns closer to the source of the threat, or the source itself. This village was close to the guild's base, hence why Sovereign came here first. Nobody really recognised him, and none would know of him being the new guildmaster. He decided to leave his members at the base itself to protect it, since those hooligans would have only caused more fear lurking around this quaint village than help. A while had passed, and there still was no sign of danger. And people were beginning to grow tired of waiting, or simply leaving all together believing there to be no such threat. "I'm bored.""Me too.""Shut up and just keep watch."

He's charming, sweet and strangely optimistic for someone in such a cutthroat guild. But maybe that's what it needed, a little change of pace from the constant scraps and terrorising of other wizards. They're a well known guild after all, and all that chaos was starting to put them in a negative light. It was actually Sovereigns older brother who founded the guild, an angry man who shut himself off from the world and focused on gaining power and control for the betterment of himself and the lives of others. Or that's what he said anyway. Sovereign knew that his brother was paranoid, unhealthily so, and decided that in order to stay protected from the future terrors of the world he would need to create a haven for those who knew how dangerous magic could be. But eventually this fear grew into action, and his brother would begin to attack areas and people that he believed had the 'potential' to be a danger in the future. [break][break] Nobody knew if the victims of these attacks were legitimate, but nobody questioned the mad mutt's authority. People who had come to this guild seeking safety from the dangers of magic were quickly used as tools to seek and destroy. Soon, the more dark-hearted of people sought out this guild as a way of simply being able to fight and commit crimes under guild protection. The guild gathered thieves, murderers and hooligans who came in pretending to seek a way to help the community, but they were only here for crime and money. Because of this, the guild now has a reputation of housing criminals who pretend to do right. Most of its members care little for the community and use their title as 'guild member' as a way of getting what they want and when they want. [break][break] Being situated near Cait Shelter, it meant that all the poor civilians that were terrorised by Quatro Cerberus would flee the land and run to the other guild for help. Cait Shelter was constantly having people arrive wounded or in tears, always pointing a finger at the criminals in Quatro Cerberus and their sinister guild master. The hounds received warning after warning, and eventually the guild master of Cait Shelter took action.[break][break] Sovereign's brother had strayed from his original path of protection, and had to take responsibility for the guild he had created. Entering a terrifying fight with the opposing guild master, Koji Nyctores. After the battle of cats and dogs, Cait Shelter was victorious and successful murdered the guild master of Quatro Cerberus. People thought that would be the end of the guild and its members. But the young pup, Sovereign, rose up to the occasion, knowing that his brother would want his legacy to continue and for it to be set on a correct path again. Despite being young and not as strong, Sovereign's uncomfortably joyous attitude and wicked smile is enough to set anyone straight. He isn't stupid enough to banish the criminals from his guild which make up most of its members, but instead is aiming to correct their behaviour and set these wild dogs straight. Or so he insists.[break][break] Although Sovereign is saddened by the death of his brother, he knew it was inevitable. Cait Shelter now entrusts the young master to correct its members to stop this from ever happening again, but nobody truly knows the amount of rage and resentment that lies within the pup's heart. Being a fairly new guild master, word has yet to go out about the new successor of Quatro Cerberus. People know there's been a change in power, but most assume its just another criminal sitting on a corrupt throne. What they don't realise is that Sovereign is a friendly and (mostly) innocent individual who wants the best for everyone. But that isn't to say he can't be manipulative and brutal when he needs to be, and won't shy away from a fight when the time comes. After all, he's got a whole pack of murderous hellhounds at his back. [break][break] [attr="class","infosubtitle"] APPEARANCE Standing at 5'9", Sovereign isn't exactly an intimidating individual in terms of appearance. He isn't incredibly muscular, but also isn't overly thin either. He wears a bronze mask that covers the upper half of his face, only revealing his mouth. He has brown hair with lighter highlights, which is mainly covered by a curved leather cap. His clothes are rather formal, as he likes to stand out from his guild members as to not be associated with crime or 'common-folk'.
