Welcome to Hell [Quatro Cerberus Thread]

Welcome to Quatro Cerberus If you're new to the guild and want a quick interaction with other members or the guild master, feel free to post here. This can be one big thread so it’s easy to just make yourself known and get immersed quickly with other members.
((Be sure to check out the guild's plotter for member rankings and exclusive missions! LINK))
Light seeps through the cracks in the walls and refracts through the stained glass windows, the church building which has housed Quatro Cerberus for a few years now truly reflects the kind of people that it houses: Dark, rotting, with little light illuminating the area. The guild has many members, but only a few are within the building at a time, using it as a retreat when they need a place to hide. But with the recent death of the previous guild master, William Pale, room for a new master has risen up. His younger brother, Sovereign Pale has taken the mantle as leader of the hellhounds and wishes to ‘correct’ the people of this guild. Some question his power and motives, as he had always been the more cheerier soul amidst the murderers and thieves, so why would he think he could lead them? It was simple, he would simply show them. Footsteps echoed as he made his way down the steps from the balcony, his finger running across the banister. He glanced over at the clusters of his gathered members, watching him with suspicious eyes as they shuffled uncomfortably. Sovereign grinned, a wicked smile that looked only the more sinister since the rest of his face was covered by a bronze mask. There were whispers amongst the people below, nervous and mocking remarks. “He’s just a kid.”
“The pup doesn’t know what he’s doing.”
“There’s no place for us in this guild with him leading us.”
Sovereign tilted his head down, smiling even more. For although he was the other side of the church, he heard every word. Or rather, the other ones did. Figures stepped out from the shadows, revealing themselves from all over the church. It was Sovereign, or rather, his duplicates. They’d lean in to the various groups, and in perfect unison their voice would boom in a whisper. “I heard that.” Like a mirror image moving at the same time, they’d each reach out and grab whoever spoke, ramming their heads hard onto a table or wall, or any other nearby solid object. It was quick and strong, surprising everyone in the room. Members cursed and retaliated, only to find they had vanished once more. Up on the stairs, Sovereign giggled like a child, his voice innocent and smooth, “Now, now, you don’t want to talk bad about me already do you? At least give me a chance.” He took a few more steps down, tapping his chin and leaning strangely over the banister. “I’m your new guild master. End of. Unlike my brother, my mind is still intact, and I am fully aware of all your true intentions of joining this guild. Murder, robbery, harassment, vandalism, just a few things off the list of reasons why you sit in this building now.” Sovereign maintained his smile, and started waving his finger around at everyone. “His death hurt us, me most of all. But just because we lost to a cat doesn’t mean we back away. If you wish to carry on doing what you do, then be bloody discreet about it. I will keep my eyes on all of you, and bring some kind of order to the mess this guild has become.”Sovereign spoke the truth, and although he kept it discreet of what he was trying to say, he hoped they had some kind of understanding of what he truly meant. He didn’t want to take away what was given to these people, he didn’t want to abolish the reason most were here in the first place. But at the same time, he doesn’t want to be the bad guy, he wants to be the one who’s trying to restore balance in this community. If he could show the other guilds and factions that Quatro Cerberus was just as good as everyone else, yet still wreak havoc in the shadows without them knowing, then that was enough for him. These people were ruthless and powerful, all they lacked was a smart mind and control to help them better their strengths and focus on the important matters. Petty crimes were beneath these people, and it would be Sovereign to help them reach much bigger goals. TAG: OPEN TO QC MEMBERS ONLY

Kaida barely twitched or shuffled, but she was nervous, that much was obvious. Her eyes zipped about, noting that the hounds around her were barely holding back dissatisfied mumbles and growls, but she simply pulled up her own copper mask, hiding her already flat expression.
The stink of sudden blood and distress hit her suddenly, and her tail started to lash as she spotted multiple copies of the new leader smash down the mumbling guildmates. A man with a bloody nose clambered back to his feet and locked his wide eyes on her, grimacing. Was he looking for sympathy?
She hurriedly looked away.
Her mask couldn't hide how her eyes narrowed slightly, nor how she straightened slightly at talk of order, "Order...are we still to fight the cats?" She mumbled under her breath, one could almost hear thoughts connecting in her mind as she tried to understand how both the chaotic hounds and order could possibly exist.

William is dead.
It was inevitable, given the extent of his madness, but Kibi is still reeling from the loss. How can it be that the one who saved her could not save himself? Rather than Quatro Cerberus, it was William himself who Kibi swore her loyalty to years ago when no one else would take her, William who always had a place for her in his vision, even when it spiraled out of control. Without him, there seems to be no point in picking up the pieces.
Kibi slumps against the pew, tracking Sovereign Pale with her eyes as he descends. He is a silhouette of his late brother, like in shape but unlike in detail. William, for one, never smiled.
Pup, says the wolf, sneering. He won't be half the leader his brother was.
Child, says the moon, concerned. No one should have to lose a loved one so young.
Kibi gives voice to neither opinion, and for her silence she is spared. She flinches as skulls crack against hard surfaces, though not without a trill of excitement on part of the wolf. Not bad.
The moon disapproves. That was a little extreme.
Sovereign speaks of a vision, one that will rise from the ashes of William's legacy. The newness of it unsettles her. In this vision unclouded by madness, where does Kibi the hunter, Kibi the healer, Kibi the wildcard come into play? Every strategist worth their salt knows that the simplest plans are the best ones, and from her experience Kibi's mere presence tends to complicate things. It would make sense for Sovereign to discard her from his hand, wouldn't it?
Panic snaps across her body. She has to leave, now. She can't bear to be abandoned again.
Kaida Lux, another longtime member of the guild, poses a question aloud. Kibi takes this opportunity to slip toward the door relatively unnoticed, mapping out her destination in her mind. Basalt Town is always in need of supply runners. As long as she keeps the wolf in check, it won't be hard for her to disappear. Quatro Cerberus will forget her fast.
This doesn't appeal to her as much as it should. She pauses by the door, her hand on the handle, her head turned toward the pews for one last look. She realizes with a start that she wants to be convinced to stay.
Maybe Quatro Cerberus is more of a home for her than she thought.

Welcome to Hell [Quatro Cerberus Thread]

Sovereign looked down to the white slayer, the lizard-woman with pale scales that shimmered like pearls. Feathers poked out from various parts of her body, vibrant against the white and iridescent scales. "Let me rephrase." He said softly, his tone changing to be much kinder all of a sudden. "I'm afraid this guild has lost any kind of purpose. I see people forgetting the family they had been brought into, too focused on their own desires to remember the kindness my brother showed you all. He gave you a home when nobody else did."Frowning, it was clear that Sovereign was upset by this, and his expression became more neutral as he spoke, yet he would knowingly ignore the topic of Cait Shelter. They were still a sore subject. "By order, I don't mean strict rules on how to behave. What I desire is the best life for you all, and I believe that can be achieved here. With Quatro Cerberus."If you will allow me, let me be your guide. Let me show you what strengths you truly possess, to understand everything about your individual differences and what it is you also desire. In return, I need firm hands and hardened hearts, for I have tasks that only people like you can achieve. The thieves, the killers, the arsonists. Let me put your talents to use to protect ourselves from the dangers of this world. Of magic."--- Just before this speech began, during the time that Kibi had begun to leave, a figure would soundlesly would appear by her side. A gentle hand reaching out and resting on her own that held the door handle. When she looked round, she would see Sovereign, smiling at her with that unnaturally large smile but with a tenderness that hopefully she would understand. "Please, Kibi, you're just as valuable to us as much as everyone else here.""My brother trusts many people here, and only few have the pleasure of being individually brought here by him. To lose you would be losing a piece of my brother."Sovereign hoped that others in similar positions to Kibi and Kaida would understand that. Kibi Kabat Kaida Lux

Welcome to Hell [Quatro Cerberus Thread]

So.
Much.
Chatter.
And not a lick of it the least bit interesting. A new face - he did not seat himself upon any church pew. He did not stand amongst the chattering flocks of faithless goldbricks. No, he sat vaguely cross-legged upon the very floor itself. A glare of faint light, trapped within the square windows of his frames, drew the glass opaque and his lips? They possessed no discernible pull, pucker, or strain. The face was … unreadable.
But then things began to pick up. Doubters found themselves on a collision course with a table, a chair - really, whatever was nearby. The guild members generally failed to entertain, but the guild master - he was interesting.
With the conclusion of the speech, a silence befell them. However, it was not for long. The loading of a magazine, a loud click - it echoed about the innards of the tainted holy ground. The whole of the speech was spent fiddling with a dismembered firearm. It just happened to be then did Jinn Godfrey finish putting it together again. With its completion, finally, the corners of his lips felt an upwards pull; but his brows found themselves beneath a subtle weight. A devilish expression with his gaze skirting the ground before him came about because of the man’s speech.
Ostensibly, the man - the youth? It was difficult to say, but he had nothing to offer. Instead, he looked over the firearm in his possession while the chatter around him acted as a lulling white noise.

Kaida looked up at Sovereign Pale , and nodded curtly, "That's true." She spoke easily enough, but her eyes wandered like a slightly scared animal, unsure where to focus, "But some were forgetting we're family? Not good...not at all." She frowned deeply and bared her teeth before her eyes suddenly focused, "The leader, that was family...we're family too." Her words came as a sort of declaration, but she wisely didn't speak out more, aware of eyes all around her.
She had a burning light within, she knew what kind of strength she held since forever. This Guild knew more than anything. "I never want to face danger alone, leader. I want to see if you know us, me...well, you should know I don't do things that will hurt this family. What do I give to this family, then? The best life isn't something I know."
