Kaida is a being that knew from a young age that her presence in the world was always going to be the odd one out. How? Perhaps it was her white scales that almost looked like a human's skin, the blocky feathers on her tail that no other lizardman or woman had, or maybe it was when her mouth opened like some contraption and spit a beam that split rock like paper. Oh yes, she knew she wasn't "correct", and the lizards rightly called her a dragonewt, a step away from dragon...and she didn't mind. Not until this respect turned to fear, and she walked alone. There were many creatures in this world, Kaida knew. There were deer, wolves, bears, and more. In terms of the food chain, she herself was a bear, she thought. Yet this wasn't good, wolves had a pack to adhere to, and their family supported one another...so she became a wolf. A dog actually, chasing down prey at the beset of a leader didn't bother her at all, long as she wasn't the odd one out. [break][break]
Among criminals and murderers, she was surely the least strange creature. A human would never look at her and think she was normal, but that didn't matter, humans weren't the pack running things anymore, were they? Her pack nearly was, and if the only thing that stood in their way was cats, then loss was not in their future...the lizard born nearly dragon would make sure of it. [break][break]
Her pack was all. And blood in her fangs was not an unpleasant taste at all.
