It all happens so fast. The girl lurching toward her, mouth glistening with freakish teeth. A murmur she can't make out, a chill in the air behind her. Scales flashing white. Impact.
Thrown aside, Kibi gasps for breath. She's up on her feet as soon as she manages to reintroduce air into her lungs, one hand already unstrapping the pair of battle claws at her belt. She stops to process the scene before her: a corpse of a girl with ice buried in her heart, a boy poised to strike (or fire, rather), a familiar face.
"Kaida," Kibi says, dropping her hand. "I—thank you." The shard would have blown right through her if Kaida hadn't interfered. She shifts her gaze to the boy. "You too. You saved me."
Careless, says the wolf, triumphant. See what happens when you extend a helping hand? It gets bit.
There is always a risk to kindness, says the moon, undeterred. And kindness is why we are yet unharmed.
The girl is decidedly dead now, so Kibi walks over and examines her. "I've never seen such a thing before," she murmurs. In her life she has witnessed many a monster, but never an undead. It makes sense considering that she usually keeps Scoria more than an arm's distance away. What an unfortunate day. "What is it? She wasn't always like this, was she?"

KIBI KABAT. Female. 24. Werewolf. Quatro Cerberus. Flips between Neutral Good and Chaotic Evil.
NOTES: Morally conflicted. Quiet. Serious. Shifty. Honest but hard to read sometimes. Secretive. Intense. Insecure. Usually obedient but capable of defiance. Struggling to choose between her bloodthirst as a werewolf (bad side) and her reverence for the moon (good side). Either a sinner or a saint. Changes attitude at the drop of a dime. Unpredictable but easily influenced to one side or another. Healer with a dash of berserker. Lonely. Wary but not paranoid. Kind of gullible, takes a while to figure out she has been tricked or lied to.
THREAD IDEAS:
- You encourage/influence her toward her wolf side
- You encourage/influence her toward her moon side
- You encourage/influence her toward... both? or neither? This will be harder since Kibi is convinced she can only have one.
- You meet her while she's leaning toward one side and get surprised when she flips to the other
- You go on a mission with her
- She heals you while leaning toward her moon side (or her wolf side if you can convince her in that state)
- You trick/prank/otherwise mess around with her because she's susceptible to that
- You develop a rivalry with her wolf side
- And whatever else you can think of!

Hey guys, this is Cami! I've been RPing for a while now. My goal on this site is to keep posts short and simple, which I... won't always accomplish. My muse dips up and down randomly, so don't feel pressured to match my erratic post length.
I'm up for talking anytime. I like creative writing, relaxed video games like Pokemon and Stardew Valley, and classical music (I play the cello). You can talk to me about these subjects or anything else you want. I don't bite.

Kibi doesn't like to take missions so far from home, if she can call it that, but Quatro Cerberus takes what it can get after the previous Guild Master ran its reputation into the ground. She hurries along the outskirts of Scoria, burying her nose in the fur collar of her coat to smother the smell of decay. It doesn't work. She picks up the pace.
Somewhere, a child is crying.
"Hello?" Kibi calls, slowing to a stop. Her ears swivel in the direction of the sound, the ruins of some unknown building deeper in the region. The crying carries on. The wolf in Kibi wants to leave it—Let the weak die—but the shine of the moon is strong. If she can save someone, she should.
It doesn't take long for Kibi to reach her destination. Nestled in the corner of what used to be the intersection between two walls, a young girl dressed in rags weeps into her hands. There is something unnatural about her skin, how it hangs off her bones like curtains. Kibi kneels.
"Child," she says softly. "Why are you crying? Come here. I will take you someplace safe."
The girl raises her head. She has the face of a corpse. She lunges for Kibi's outstretched hand.
"Wh—!"

Don't worry, it makes perfect sense! I don't have anything useful to add here since I agree 100% with your ideas. I just posted in the guild thread, so Sovereign can take that opportunity to convince her to stay if he wants. If he chooses to lie to her she'll accept it at first since she's in a conflicted state of mind, but later she might start to question the truth. That could open up some future tension between them.
Maybe we could have a private thread for them? I'd like a straightforward mission where Sovereign can hang back and observe her abilities, maybe start making suggestions about the direction she should take them in. If you have other thread ideas, toss 'em at me. I know you have a lot of threads going on right now, so we can put it off for later if we want. (I need to get Kibi to Level 2 so I can bring in the werewolf part of her magic anyway.)

William is dead.
It was inevitable, given the extent of his madness, but Kibi is still reeling from the loss. How can it be that the one who saved her could not save himself? Rather than Quatro Cerberus, it was William himself who Kibi swore her loyalty to years ago when no one else would take her, William who always had a place for her in his vision, even when it spiraled out of control. Without him, there seems to be no point in picking up the pieces.
Kibi slumps against the pew, tracking Sovereign Pale with her eyes as he descends. He is a silhouette of his late brother, like in shape but unlike in detail. William, for one, never smiled.
Pup, says the wolf, sneering. He won't be half the leader his brother was.
Child, says the moon, concerned. No one should have to lose a loved one so young.
Kibi gives voice to neither opinion, and for her silence she is spared. She flinches as skulls crack against hard surfaces, though not without a trill of excitement on part of the wolf. Not bad.
The moon disapproves. That was a little extreme.
Sovereign speaks of a vision, one that will rise from the ashes of William's legacy. The newness of it unsettles her. In this vision unclouded by madness, where does Kibi the hunter, Kibi the healer, Kibi the wildcard come into play? Every strategist worth their salt knows that the simplest plans are the best ones, and from her experience Kibi's mere presence tends to complicate things. It would make sense for Sovereign to discard her from his hand, wouldn't it?
Panic snaps across her body. She has to leave, now. She can't bear to be abandoned again.
Kaida Lux, another longtime member of the guild, poses a question aloud. Kibi takes this opportunity to slip toward the door relatively unnoticed, mapping out her destination in her mind. Basalt Town is always in need of supply runners. As long as she keeps the wolf in check, it won't be hard for her to disappear. Quatro Cerberus will forget her fast.
This doesn't appeal to her as much as it should. She pauses by the door, her hand on the handle, her head turned toward the pews for one last look. She realizes with a start that she wants to be convinced to stay.
Maybe Quatro Cerberus is more of a home for her than she thought. |

Here's a Quatro Cerberus member for you! These two are similar but in very different ways. Sovereign pretends to be good but deep down he might be bad. Meanwhile, Kibi is struggling to choose whether to be bad or good since she feels like she can't have both. She loves the power trip she gets from giving in to her bloodthirst as a werewolf, but she also reveres the moon and its healing powers. Put Sovereign and Kibi together, and there's plenty of moral conflict to go around.
I'm planning to throw Kibi into the guild thread, so we can get a feel for their dynamic there. Maybe they could also have a social or mission thread on the side? Kibi has been in the guild for at least several years, so I think they would at least be acquainted with each other.
Kibi has very mixed feelings about Sovereign stepping up as Guild Master, and it isn't always obvious what side she's leaning toward at any given moment. What Sovereign knows or doesn't about Kibi is up to you. She's generally a quiet, shifty person who has flashes of cruelty or benevolence from time to time, so he can interpret that in a number of ways. Let me know what you think!
