"Wh-what?? Suggestion spell? But we didn't see or hear anything suspicious..." the middle aged woman exclaimed as she wrapped her arms around the boy protectively. Her flattered expression had turned into one of surprised and possibly anger. She could not have imagine the charming trader would be involved in something like this.

Kasumi's eyes narrowed at the telapthic vision shared by Anniken. Subtle spells like this is quite difficult to handle. If Anniken had not bothered to use her Omnipotent eye, she would have easily missed the suggestion place on him. Like a time bomb, it would have triggered once the proper circumstances have been met.

"...It is as she say Ma'am. Did you remember Mr Diamond talk to your son back then?"

"Well yes but I thought he was being friendly..." she replied though her words trailed off upon seeing Kasumi shook her head in response.

"He basically hypnotize your son to inform him if someone come in searching for him specifically. He would not have done that had he just be a humble trader no?" Though she didn't feel it was quite conclusive yet, it was the only lead they have for now. Now it's just a matter of how to handle the boy in question.

"Should I get rid of the suggestion Ma'am?" Kasumi asked as she place her notebook inside the suit to reach out for the boy.

Well the purplette supposed she did owe them explanation of sorts. She was about to say something when Anniken answered first and quite succinctly as well. After ensuring that everyone had hop onto the truck, she would start the engine before proceeding towards the oasis. It was only then she reaffirm her words before adding her own thoughts onto it.

"Basically what the godfather had said. Some of the trade shipments to our town were intercepted by these speed demons. I am uncertain if they were targeting specific goods at first... I checked with all the merchants and none of them seem to be selling anything remotely the same."

The truck would soon leave the ruins towards a sandy area filled with desert palm trees in distance. These palm trees surrounded a body of water,providing shade and comfort to those who would seek shelter from the blazing heat of the desert.

"It's just a conjecture at this point but I do believe I know what these creatures are going for. All the travelling merchants have something in common and that's lacryma fuel that's powering this vehicle. I'm uncertain if they required them for sustenance or something else...but I supposed that's a moot point now that they have all been taken care of."

Upon hearing that her partner for this mission was not a local citizen Kasumi cannot help but furrowed her brow slightly though she only nodded in response. In her mind she wondered if the villagers really wanted the hunter to be found...a local guide would have helped them immensely even if they lack any other skills that would be helpful in rescuing this man. Still, what the girl provided was more than enough to go on.

"I see...then I believe our first course of action would be to check for any signs the hunter was actually in that area in first place. His belongings, traps, skinned animal carcass or the like..."

Not that she had a lot of experience in hunting herself. She usually get her food by doing whatever task that was assigned towards her by the guild. Perhaps it would be something they can talk together about once they find said hunter. Kasumi cast her gaze skyward when she felt the rain petering out but with dark clouds looming in the air, any hope that they would actually be dry any time soon all but vanished. Natalie's words beckon her attention and she would turn her focus left. There was indeed a natural pathway that leads them to the valley, but because of the rain it was also quite slippery. Barely wide enough to accommodate them both and without any sort of hand railing to hold onto it would prove treacherous to those who try and navigate it carelessly especially if they are not the athletic type.

"Found it. Though I'm not sure if it's safe to use..."Kasumi paused as she furrowed her eyebrow slightly.

"If you are confident you can use the stairs without slipping, go ahead. If not, climb onto my back. I'd rather not risk our healer get injured before things get started."

The boy blinked as he was subjected to Anniken's eyes. The name he had mentioned was the same as the one produced on the card and once Anniken looked into him further, she would notice that he was not affiliated with the perfume seller...not directly at least. The perfume seller had introduce himself to the family upon which the boy was around to hear it. Such a charming fellow even go out of his way to talk with the boy even though it was quite unlikely for the boy to buy any products. A subtle suggestion had been left in the boy's head...one that was quite simple as he had no magical resistance nor knowledge to know he had fallen under the spell.

"If you see anyone interested in me specifically, you'll be sure to let me know won't you lad? They might be interested in doing business with me."

The words were innocent enough in itself but the way it's imprinted in the boy's brain would compel him to do so if left unattended. But other than that, it did not seem like he was conspiring with the person they were looking for of their own free will. As for the purplette? She would remain silent upon recognizing the activation of Anniken Odin's eye so as to not potentially disrupt her.

The fact that someone would be angry and expressed concern about her well being made her throat tight with emotion. Had it been anyone else she would have dismiss them and perhaps even gave them the cold shoulder. There was no doubt about it, Berry was really a special individual for her.

"I'm sorry I made you angry and worried..."she replied before leaning in to plant a kiss towards her girlfriend lips. She wasn't quite sure how to assuage her feelings and though she had apologize multiple times it never felt quite enough for her. Taking hold of her hand, she would squeeze it slightly and snuggle against the vampire's cheek.

"Allow me to make up for it. Once I am deem fit for mission let's take one together...and maybe a date after that?" she proposed even as she look at her directly in the eyes.

The distance between them widen once more as the wolf had chosen to disengage. Her muscles had begun to contract and like a spring bounced back directly onto her. The speed and weight behind the pouncing attack was like a wrecking ball, there was enough force behind them to demolish a truck or a small building in one blow. The heat was nothing to scoff at either as it had grown even more intense than before, her pale white skin had turned a slightly more reddish hue under them.

As she was spared no time to dodge the assault, rather than blocking the attack Kasumi had decided to take it head-on. Her face grimaced slightly the as the upper limbs smashed against her body, shredding more of her clothes that her coats was basically tatters at this point. The stream of flame that followed roasted even more that it would have turned her medium rare at this point if not for her magic protection. Her breathe had become uneven and for a moment, she would take a moment to compose herself by exhaling and inhaling deliberately. Only for an instant however as she would vanish and reeemerge in front of the wolf as soon as she landed on the ground before delivering a blistering combo of punches straight towards the wolf's chest.
