Bloodcrest is an underground company/guild started by Mint Everett-Bailey, whose sole purpose is to earn profit through the very lucrative business venture of "hitman for hire." In other words, their prime service as a business is assassination. As such, Bloodcrest has no rules about who they take on as a client, so long as they get paid. It is, however, a company that runs off secrecy and underground connections: so their organization and it's headquarters are never actually to be mentioned to any of their clientele, not even the name "Bloodcrest." It is, instead, most commonly referred to as, simply, "The Company."
[break][break]
The company's headquarters are beneath the ruins of Diorite Town. This is the most unsuspecting location due to the town's abandoned and wild state. Among the crumbled ruins of an old estate, a pre-calamity area of worship, there is an entrance leading down into a massive span of catacombs. These catacombs have been largely cleared of the buried, allowing the various antechambers of the private burial rooms to be used instead as member quarters. The structure outside of the main "parlor" [as referenced in the introduction,] has some brick foundation. However, outside of this open area, when breaking off into the deeper catacombs, there is nothing but naturally manipulated formations and passageways, leaving the walls/floor/ceilings to be made largely of underground stone and dirt. There are a variety of chambers, in fact, where entire rooms have nothing but bone-ridden walls, packed in with the dirt.[break][break]
Every member's quarters are customized with their own stuff, varying in degrees of fanciness dependent on their own personal income. Miss Everett-Bailey has no interest in sprucing up their living space for them herself, after all. But she does provide the guild with the more natural necessities of living within the parlor area, where a olden/medievalish-kitchen exists. If one wishes to live without those boring necessities, though, she also offers the life of immortality through vampirism.[break][break]
1. Be discreet. If you’re thought to be a threat to the Company’s secrecy, you will be eliminated.[break]
2. Be successful. If you fail to eliminate your target/s three times, your position and usefulness to the guild will be questioned. Possible removal or elimination imminent.[break]
3. Don’t leave witnesses. Any prying eyes are a threat to the guild’s security, and must be dealt with accordingly.[break]
4. Do not impede profit. AKA Do not kill the members of Bloodcrest, as it means there are less agents bringing in jewels. The only time this is allowed is if you can easily cover the cost of their services and have been given permission by the Empress.[break]
5. Pay tribute. 10% of all earnings go toward the guild itself, to support the funding and maintaining of certain connections which allow the guild access to the information necessary for the business to continue. If you fail to meet the monthly quota, you will be suspect of stealing from the guild itself - punishable by death. [This is purely IC.][break]
6. Take the Curse. The "Curse" is the Guild's Tattoo. It is indeed cursed, however, and magically imbued only upon a willing recipient. It allows the recipient to be tracked by Mint herself, no matter where they may be, and they are made easier prey for her powers of compulsion. The mark is a single blood drop, marked upon the center of the tongue [to interrupt the flow of mana to one's brain, so that she can compel easier.] The only way to remove the curse is to die or to have your tongue cut out.[break][break]
Out of amusement, Mint categorized her businesses' ranks in a model following the ranks of royalty, aristocracy and peasantry. These ranks are a signifier of how much profit you earn as an individual, which then deems you as an important asset the the guild. They are earned, mostly, via successful IC assassinations.[break]
Note: You may include an IC blurb to include about your character and your desired reputation around the guild, this is to create a common lore for all characters related to Bloodcrest.[break][break]
