What was once a prodigy, now transformed into a full-fledged demon, Adriene's origins dated back to even the Pre-Calamity days, where most of her life was spent trying to live up to her family's reputation of being one of the most powerful bloodlines in all of France.[break][break]

A summoning ritual meant to prove her worth ended with disastrous implications. Sabotage, either from envious members of her extended family or outside forces caused a forced bond to be created between her and the Otherworld, which was essentially an incarnation of hell itself. Adriene sacrificed herself, willingly stepping into the hellish dimension to satiate their demands, and because of certain things she's done in her lifetime, the deities deemed her a fitting subject to be kept and enslaved.[break][break]

See, she's not exactly a spring chicken. Her fascination with magic as a whole stemmed from curious thoughts on how they'd interact with the human flesh. Because of that, she required.. lab rats. Experimentation on dead animal carcasses turned to live animals and eventually escalated to humans. It wasn't until a few years down the line that she finally realized she just had a liking for offing people in the most gruesome ways imaginable. Add to that the thrill of potentially being caught, she even found herself leaving black roses in the mouths of her victims, thus earning her the nickname.[break][break]

How apropos that she'd find herself enslaved within the depths of a hellish dimension, surrounded by demons and various other creatures that tore into her, healed her back up and repeated the same process over and over for nearly a damn century, to the point where the blood that flowed within her veins no longer belonged to that of a human being.[break][break]

It's unknown even to her how she found her way back to the mortal realm, but here she was, roaming free once again. The world has since become a vastly different place. Of course, having no Wi-fi, television programs or video games sucked, but at least now she'll be free to finally feed her addiction.
