Oh hell yeah! Mika definitely drinks! He drinks a lot, actually! xD I can see them being casual drinking buddies. Maybe they got in a few bar brawls with some idiots once or twice? Or had a drinking contest that pissed off the Barkeep? Getting kicked outta a bar is something I'm sure they could look back and laugh at! Their similar attitudes could be why they bond so well, as you said! |

Dawn had long since risen on the world, yet Mika could barely be bothered to wake up. A long night of drinking led to a horrible hangover and an oddly quiet homestead. Cracking open a blearily amber brown eye, the guild master was greeted by the all too cheery sun filtering through the cracked windows of his room.

"Ugh... Someone shut off the light..."

He groused throwing the comforter back over his head with a groan of pain. It would be around noon that he finally roused from bed, hearing activity downstairs. A few minutes of bathing and getting dressed, as well as taking a much needed painkiller.

Mikazuki made his way downstairs far more refreshed and alive than he did earlier that morning. A mild yet oddly tense smile tugged on his features, as he was far better in mood now - yet the effects of his late night escapades left him somewhat irritable.

What greeted him was not a fellow member of the Southern Wolves, but a small gray rat, eating at what looked like some of their rice that they tore into. With a twitching eyebrow he casually grabbed his switchblade from his person and swiftly stabbed the little pest without batting an eye. He would then bite down into it's hide and drain it of it's life blood.

The sound of the kitchen door opening would garner his attention, as the ones entering the house would come into see him like this. Eh, not the worst situation he found himself in. At least he still had his underwear this time. With a casual friendly wave he greeted them none too jovially.

"Yo!" He would start a wide, wolfish grin on his visage as he pulled the dried husk that was the former rat away from his sharp incisors. "Looks like the headquarters has a bit of a rat problem!"

A mercenary guild who's big on getting money and grinding experience. A misfit group of morally ambiguous mages, their roguish, opportunistic personalities result in a disposition towards any job that pays well—even if it jeopardizes the lives of the innocent. They are still relatively familial with one another, but that is typically where the sentiment ends.

It's founder and first Guild Master is,
Mikazuki Yato, a former raider and mercenary warband member. The Southern Wolves doesn't have many rules except for three tenants of sorts: [break][break]1) "Never betray your fellow Wolves." There's no real structure or hierarchy within the Southern Wolves. It tends to be too messy and difficult to manage - so there is really only four "tiers" which delegate seniority and experience instead of strength and power. Born from a less than stellar relationship with a raider mother and hapless Port Boulder citizen father who just so happened to gain her fancy - his birth was far from ideal. Despite this, his mother took him in and under her wing - teaching him the ways of the highway men. [break][break] At a young age Mikazuki discovered he could use magic, unlike both his parents it seemed there was an ancestor within one of his family lines who was a mage, something Mika inherited. [break][break] For much of his youth he spent his days honing his magic on magical beasts and hapless victim alike. However his mother's band of thieves and murders would find their end when a powerful beast would strike their camp one night. Only barely managing to kill it, Mika was left alone and bloody, to succumb to his wounds. [break][break] He would wake up to find himself healed and bandaged by what was a small band of mercenaries. The leader - Jin, was willing to take him in and help him hone his magic further if he decided to join his mercenary band. [break][break] Not having anywhere to go, Mikazuki agreed, and after years spending time with the group started to see them as family, and Jin as a father figure - even taking his last name "Yato" as his own. When Mikazuki grew into a young adult he decided to make a name and life for himself, amicably ending ties with his father figure and venturing into the ruined world alone. [break] [break] A year later he'd create the Southern Wolves, a guild of opportunistic and skilled mercenaries looking to line their pockets and get stronger - while nowhere like the family-esque situation of his former mercenary band, he came to see each and every member as very near and dear to his heart. [break][break] Nowadays, at twenty-five years old, Mika is looking forward to take from this rotten, cruel, world, aiding those who need him and his guild for a plenty a pretty penny. Because here, in this fucked up place they call home. It's not the hero who keeps the reward, but the opportunistic thief who makes off with the prize. |
