Mikazuki Yato was born and raised on the road. Born from a less than stellar relationship with a raider mother and hapless Port Boulder citizen father who just so happened to gain her fancy - his birth was far from ideal. Despite this, his mother took him in and under her wing - teaching him the ways of the highway men. [break][break] At a young age Mikazuki discovered he could use magic, unlike both his parents it seemed there was an ancestor within one of his family lines who was a mage, something Mika inherited. [break][break] For much of his youth he spent his days honing his magic on magical beasts and hapless victim alike. However his mother's band of thieves and murders would find their end when a powerful beast would strike their camp one night. Only barely managing to kill it, Mika was left alone and bloody, to succumb to his wounds. [break][break] He would wake up to find himself healed and bandaged by what was a small band of mercenaries. The leader - Jin, was willing to take him in and help him hone his magic further if he decided to join his mercenary band. [break][break] Not having anywhere to go, Mikazuki agreed, and after years spending time with the group started to see them as family, and Jin as a father figure - even taking his last name "Yato" as his own. When Mikazuki grew into a young adult he decided to make a name and life for himself, amicably ending ties with his father figure and venturing into the ruined world alone. [break] [break] A year later he'd create the Southern Wolves, a guild of opportunistic and skilled mercenaries looking to line their pockets and get stronger - while nowhere like the family-esque situation of his former mercenary band, he came to see each and every member as very near and dear to his heart. [break][break] Nowadays, at twenty-five years old, Mika is looking forward to take from this rotten, cruel, world, aiding those who need him and his guild for a plenty a pretty penny. Because here, in this fucked up place they call home. It's not the hero who keeps the reward, but the opportunistic thief who makes off with the prize.
