Kaida couldn't see through the darkness as much as she liked, and her eyes lingered longer than usual on shadows before she moved on. A low growl came from her at the term scaredy cat, but she didn't speak back, knowing there were people here. Only speak when necessary, she decided.
Unfortunately, that didn't seem a goal of her "friend" here. "No." She answered with a snap, "Those are monsters that haven't been killed yet...why?"

Finished with her portion of the duty, Kaida was actually surprised to see her partner had finished up on her end too, but managed to offer a quick, "Good job!" with a toothy grin, slight respect forming. This respect didn't fade at the robbery taking place, only right for her to take what she wanted from her prey, he could thank her for not being dead.
Still, he might wake up and follow them. "One moment." She grabbed the man, hoisting him into a sitting position against one of the pillars, tying him there with his own coat. Not the best she ever did, but it'd hold for as long as they needed.
Already at the entrance, Kaida started to creep forward, "Stay behind me. And not too much noise." Perhaps that wasn't such a good idea to voice, her expectations for a trickster, but the words were already out, and she hoped that at least some of her expectations were followed.

"Nothing. Ugh." Kaida grumbled until the man started to draw closer, and then went eerily quiet, watching the man and crawling slightly down.
"I got it." She whispered, curling her lip in disgust. What a stupid man, going off alone like that. Showing weakness like that deserved punishment like attack. Simple.
He didn't look up as Kaida dropped from the branch she perched on, and her claws met at his skull. Thankfully, he didn't scream and she slammed him into the tree, digging her claws in deeply. Whether she killed him or not, she had no idea, but he wasn't moving and she didn't have time to check as she trotted towards where her companion should be finishing up.

Through her scales, Kaida couldn't exactly blush, not like a human. Still, the way her scales blistered as she snapped back, "I am no coward." was telling. She turned her head away angrily, already wondering if this partner was going to be useless or not, but she heard a whisper of noise.
"Yes." Her voice was nearly inaudible, and she herself moved to climb a neighbouring tree, but unable to climb as high, nestled in the branches and raised her head to use what senses she could, barely able to see the two laughing.
"Hmph. If they are drunk, they are easier prey." Kaida disapproved quietly, "Can you hear?"

Kaida was the other figure in the situation, wearing dark clothing over all of her limbs and a black mask over her snout. There wasn't much she could do about her tail, but she kept it as low as she could and out of sight. She watched her newest companion with wide eyes, not quite certain if this mission was going to go well with a partner like this.
Stealing. Kaida had no idea how to steal under people's noses. It seemed so inconsistent to her, why not just bring as much manpower as one could, then take it by force? But the client wasn't looking for logic, now we're they?
I yoink the book, while you kick their asses. Good plan? Great plan~
The quiet lizardwoman didn't react immediately, hand cupped on her snout before she concluded, "I am one fighter...I don't like my chances fighting lots of other fighters. I can try." She worriedly looked over to her partner, "Failure means we both fail though...I don't like that, I'd rather not be seen yet...we can..."yoink"...the book in better conditions. Um, right?" Her voice wavered slightly, not quite having a solid plan regarding the arts of thievery and distractions.

I was simply imagining a kinship based upon both being a bit more rough, and the fact that Kaida having little to see in appearances, might just interact with her normally without even considering she's acting cold. Also, given Alecx's past, she might be more sympathetic in the fact that she lost her family.
Kaida will probably not ever outright betray her, but won't have the same loyalty like her Guild. Doesn't mean she won't go out of her way to help, it's just that if there's a choice to be made, her family comes first.

Kaida was a spotlight on the dark horizon. As stress crept up her throat, so did her internal lights. Her scales glimmered and her chest and neck glowed like fireflies were flying about in her. That...was the enemy. That was clear. Kaida felt stress, like she was going to charge a boar head-on, but true fear wasn't holding her down. Simply put, this was a hunt. This creature was meant to be hunted, and that's what she was going to do.
She crept under demolished shards of buildings, hiding her glowing self slightly as she crawled upon all limbs, tail dragging in her low movements. Close, she was close.
She poked her head out of her hiding spot, waiting for the giant prey to get closer still before she pounced.
Summary: Kaida arrives and hides herself as she waits for the creature to get closer...she is glowing though...

Hello! I see a reserved character, and I wanna put a character at them! In terms of judging by appearance or personality, Kaida is the least capable of doing so. She reads things based on an action or lack of action, and would likely see Alecx as simply a quiet person, not dangerous. I'm hazarding a guess that Kaida is kind of similar, quieter and rough, and might feel a sort of kinship with this person, even if they are different Guilds.
Maybe so, but do you have any ideas too?

Hey there! I know that technically these two have had a meeting in the zombie invasion, but I just wanted to throw out some ideas if you're interested!
If we're talking any sort of encounter taking place after said thread, I believe Kaida would likely be actually friendly, in her own way. She could see that he helped against the zombies, and decided that he's an ally so far. The more friendly personality might confuse her a little, but she'd likely take it as a sign of genuine friendliness, rather than think it's some kind of danger, even if he does tease.
I'm not certain what kind of meeting they could have, from meeting up again on another mission, just running into each other, or Kaida actively looking for the mystery ally to give a thanks, but I'm open to any ideas!

Hiya, fellow Guildmate! I think Kaida would be fond enough of the werewolf girl, knowing how important a healer and a fighter would be to anyone in the Guild. Still, the switching of sides would likely confuse and put off Kaida, and not because it freaks her out, but simply cause she can't understand it. Kaida is also rather animalistic, similar to her reptilian appearance, but doesn't have moral conflicts about being that way. Perhaps she could encourage both sides, because as far as she's concerned, both are good. In terms of the morality of such things, Kaida doesn't know, and maybe Kibi can explain her reasoning!
Sorry, big wall of text! Just an idea, and if you have anything to say, please do!

Kaida made a quick rush about the tunnel, checking over everything and anything. The girl was safely on her back, unconscious about as peacefully as one could be after being knocked out. The man was still slumped against the wall, and Kaida made sure to check if he was breathing. He was alive, and in no danger, he would likely never know what had attacked him...and even if he did, she doubted he'd be believed in saying a horned, scaled woman had attacked him. Nobody else was in the tunnels with them, and Kaida was thorough. No scents, no signs of footprints, this incident may as well have happened in a vacuum. Perfect. Discreet.
A pulse of pride ran through Kaida, and her tail wagged slightly in satisfaction. No mission could ever be failed by her, now could it? She only wondered if the Guild would be pleased by bringing this girl back...but Sovereign was always smiling and supported the Guild, he couldn't be angry about her idea of the girl being a use to them, could he?
Looking back at the girl, Kaida resigned herself to whatever happened back home. If they were angry, she could just finish the job there, but she had to try.
Leaving all the filth behind, Kaida walked her way back home, a dangerous being carried on her back.

Kaida's eyes flickered to her own unmoving claws like this was a personal betrayal of some kind. The mission was to take this girl out, and the opportunity was right here, so why couldn't she just take it!? Her own words bubbled in her mind, monsters won't use you. Why did she say that? Of all things!? She felt a speck of truth in what she had said, but couldn't understand why she had wanted to convince the girl to join monsters, to be among inhuman humans and beasts.
Monster. She was sure that was what Cerberus was, what everyone saw of them. She was certain that nobody in the Guild could claim to be innocent of all crimes, herself included...and Sovereign's words sprang to mind, he had told her that all the people of the Guild would be useful, have a purpose. She trusted those words, and in the moment, the girl had trusted her. So...perhaps she was guilty? Weird, but the nagging words in her mind seemed to fit, she thought.
This girl was a danger to all, and Kaida was starting to figure that this may not be a bad thing. Among other freaks and monsters, it may very well be perfect for the girl.
