A soft spoken Guild Master with difficulty in trusting strangers borderline on paranoia. He is viciously protective of those he deems his family, not only his younger brother, but also guild members. He considers himself neither good nor bad. He willingly commits crimes to protect and help with guild members. He is not above doing morally ambiguous things for his guild either.

Due to his difficulty in trusting others, Koji does not make friends easily. With that said, the quickest way to enter his good graces is to become part of his guild. He does take pity on the downtrodden and weak - those who's met the hard end of life. He becomes rather protective of them.

To wrong Koji's guild members is to become Koji's enemy. He is merciless once he deems someone an enemy of Cait Shelter and does not hesitate to put an end to them. He doesn't care if said enemy has a family and loved ones. The safety of his members take precedent.

Cheshire's a former member of Cait Shelter who resigned from the guild not long ago, to join Odin's Sphere. She's still yet to build up a criminal record of any sort, nor would she make it known what she's doing at the current time, so here's hoping she wouldn't be on Koji's most wanted list just yet.[break][break]

Would it interest you to have a sort of strained mentor-student relationship with Cheshire? She's aloof and a loner, and did not really get on with the rest of her guildmates, so she harbors a bit of resentment towards the guild as a whole since she was unable to develop as a person and as a mage, even though she kinda-sorta knows its her own fault to begin with.[break][break]

Ooh I suppose Koji would be rather hurt and salty that Chesire had left his own guild, but he could understand her reasons why. It would definitely result in a strained relationship with the whole thing being a touchy subject. It's not like Koji would deny the existence of Chesire, but he would not early embrace the fact that she left. He gets that it was a safe haven for a short period of time but it still sort of breaks his heart to see people leave, sort of like empty nest syndrome - how some parents don't want their children to leave home, but know that it's for the best.

So I've just posted on Topaz's plotter too, basically explaining an idea I've had which involves you two cats and Sovereign.

Since Topaz and Koji are brothers, what if Sovereign tried to make Koji experience the same pain he has gone through - the loss of a brother. There won't actually be any deaths, but Sovereign could attempt to end his life. Topaz could perhaps be captured and beaten, and Koji would have a bunch of clues to follow in order to rescue Topaz. This would cause a lot of friction between the guilds once again, and we'd have to wait and see what kind of outcome would occur.

At the same time, i also want Sovereign to be discreet about this. So maybe he hires someone else to do the dirty work or lures Topaz into dangerous places where mana beasts roam.

For the meantime, I like where our current thread is going where the two remain civil with each other, but there's still a bit of tension.

I'd love a thread that just tests out their dynamic and whether or not they'd get along after she 'abandoned' the guild. They don't necessarily have to, but it'd definitely build up a lot of drama / tension until another time where they'd inevitably meet once again, be it on the same side or not.[break]

I'm not sure if Koji has been the guild master for awhile, but if he has, then he's probably the one who took Orion and his mother in when they had lost everything. Orion owes everything to Cait Shelter, so he's also mightily protective of the guild. I think Orion might latch onto Koji as sort-of a father figure, though I'm not sure what Koji might think of Orion's smoking and drinking habits...[break][break]

Yup! Koji was the one who founded Cait Shelter alongside his little bro so he would've been the one who offered Orion and his mother a home. I definitely am keen for Koji to be a surrogate father figure for Orion, just Koji has been acting that way for his own little bro. I mean Koji would disapprove of Orion's smoking/drinking habits but I think at this stage, he'd just be resigned to the fact that he can't control all of his 'children'.

Definitely! I can see Koji admonishing Orion every time he sees the man drinking and smoking, but truth be told, Orion does enjoy the scolding, it's endearing for a man who grew up in a broken household...we need to set these two up for a social thread of some kind just talking about "the future"?
