“I'll just scout on ahead...”
These words were spoken in a hush, self-directed and owed their origins to a feline creature by the name of Merlin. A male specimen, the being slipped through the shadows of nightfall despite his light-purple fur paving. Two other travelling companions would have been in tow; however, Merlin slipped from their nearby camp by utilizing as much stealth as he could muster. While they slept, Merlin prowled nearer to where he was certain the sought-after guild lay. Perhaps fifteen minutes. Perhaps twenty. The building crept into view and as it did, his eyes widened and his smile widened.
“That must be it!” He whispered.

Honey sat in one of the large chairs beside the fireplace within the guild hall, her left leg slung over her right with her left hand holding her head. An elbow in the arm of the chair while her right hand fixated on her nails, the same foot that dangled bouncing rapidly to no beat in particular. She was bored, clearly, and nothing seemed to be catching her interest in the slightest. No missions or anything like that, and with the loss of their last master not much was keeping the place cheery.
That was until she glanced out the window and saw what was likely the most beautiful cat like... ever! Her eyes glistened with interest and her voice rang out to any within the small area alongside her. "That is the prettiest cat ever, I have to go touch it!" It was a solemn declaration and in no time her body was dashing toward the door and in the direction of the feline. Eager to intercept the kitty and make a new friend!

Soon enough, Merlin's eye caught sight of somebody in the window. They were looking directly at him. This caused him to cease up entirely. It was a difficult feat to not instinctually freeze in place after being spotted when the intention was the exact opposite.
Though, he was hardly petrified in fear. He allowed his front paw to return to the waiting soils below. He assumed the figure that just ran off after staring at him did so to greet him. After all, he was a great wizard – or at least he thought so. Maybe they heard of him? It was doubtful, but not an impossibility.
“...Greetings!” Merlin announced once she was in earshot.

It wasn't until she was outside and nearly within reach of the cat that it spoke out to her, greeting her and causing her already enthused look to grow. Her arms extending in no time they were wrapping around the kitty, it was indeed so beautiful and even had a red jewel in its forehead. Was he or she some kind of royalty or powerful mage, she could only wonder at this point.
"Another talking kitty, are you here to join Cait Shelter? You'll have such a great time and there's plenty of others like you, don't be shy!"
The woman would speak through her excitement, giving the cat some space but not enough to where they were out of arms reach. "That gem is beautiful, ugh, I think i'm in love!" Another hug was eminent from the party girl who couldn't get enough of the gorgeous feline.

Arms wrapped around him and for the first time, he felt the strange sensation of fur-less limbs against his own body. In fact, despite the abruptness and strangeness of an unknown girl spontaneously giving him a hug, this superseded it.
“...In fact, yes! I am – wow, so strange... your fur-less body.” Merlin used a free paw to rub one of the arms embracing him.
After they separated, Merlin cleared his throat. “I am here to join Cait Shelter, yes. I heard from a student of mine about this here guild. Is your guild master around? I know it's late, but I would love to meet them! In fact, I heard two founded this guild. Perhaps I could speak to either of them?”
