An eruption of flame burst underneath her feet, rocketing her in front of Bandit through an extreme episode of propulsion. When the creature released its expulsion of crackling electricity in the raccoon man’s direction—now her direction—she served as a lightning rod and caught the array of thick, cerulean ribbons and flashing lights with her index and middle finger.
Pushed back while continuing to take on the flash of energy, she landed on her feet on the shore. Straining for a moment, her eyes achieved a sudden clarity while she seemed infused by the monster’s lightning. Pointing her fingers towards it, she used her own manipulation of the force to redirect it towards the beast. Additionally, she pooled a generous amount of her own high voltage into the mix to increase the output.
Not letting up, Jerusalem conjured a grouping of massive, napalm-based centipedes from herself and sent them flying in the direction of the beast. They sought to wrap around the beast with the horrific, flaming muck. A few of them even attempted to crawl into the creature’s mouth, to both choke it and burn it from the inside out. The flames failed to struggle against the presence of water, evaporating it on contact.

“Jesus...” Bandit didn't even know who that was. He looked towards the bag he placed the two fangs in.
“I'm glad I got those before all of that.” Anybody could tell that the creature was done for the day. Besides it wearing a coat of its own electricity, it was constricted with giant insects composed of napalm. The stuff was potent enough to melt stone. It proved more than enough to melt it.
But she really was not kidding. She had control over both lightning and a substance that intensified the heat of the flames it was set to. The worst thing was, she was like him. How the world had not ended yet was beyond Bandit. In fact, he would ask just that.
“...How... haven't you just ended the world by now?”

Catatonia seized her body when she watched the napalm burn the creature alive. The only discernible motion she made was the continuous rise and fall of her laboured breath. Jerusalem took pleasure in burning anything. Inanimate or animate, it did not matter. If it went up in flames, she enjoyed watching it burn. The creature was no exception.
After watching it melt and become as malleable as the water it sank into, she snapped out of her stupor. Vitality returned to her body, and her eyes became alert. Had anyone wanted to get the jump on her, that might have been their opportunity to act unimpeded.
The woman listened to Bandit’s words. Flicking a flame into existence on her palm, she watched the sunset tongues dance within her illuminated pallor. She shook her head, as though she failed to produce a concrete answer to his question.
”Hell if I know, Bandit…”

“Alright, okay,” Bandit began. It was not really a response to Jerusalem, but an attempt at having his train of thought jump from one set of tracks to another. “Yeah, right... what was I doing again?”
With that, he admitted that for the moment, he forgot what it was that he was doing. Bandit took the opportunity to move his head from one side to the other, allowing crinkles and the shifting of bone to verbalize itself.
“Right! Money! I got these fangs, which I'm keeping; but this'll serve as proof. Let's head back and grab money.”
With that, Bandit started in the direction from whence he came. When he arrived in the village, the same body as before was waiting for him. They just waited there, having taken into account the direction he headed to fell the beast.

”Aye. I’ll follow your lead. Once I get back home, I need to,” Jerusalem paused for a moment, flicking her tongue over her lips with the insidious implications of the Serpent. ”Take care of myself after that…”
After a baited exhalation, she followed after Bandit. Eventually, they arrived at the client in question. Even before Bandit presented the proof to them, the woman brandished napalm in her hand. Insanity crept into her eyes while she cocked her head to the side.
”Heard you gave my friend some trouble earlier. We did the task. Give us our money unless you want to end up well-done like that fucking sea sperm we just cremated.”
Napalm was very hot. It was hot enough to produce heat greater than standing adjacent to molten rock. After that, she just waited. Eagerness for declination arose within her being, because she never tired of starting fires.
Even if it was a person she turned into a ceremonial bonfire.

There was not enough spine in the world for them to do anything but just hand Bandit what jewels they were owed. They could easily feel the fluctuation in temperature. The heat only added to the perspiration collecting on their forehead.
“Thank ya kindly,” Bandit replied as if nothing was the matter. It was hardly gratitude. It was closer to a mean-spirited jest disguised as a humble expression of appreciation. Unfortunately, neither received a farewell. They skittered off after receiving Bandit's signal that all was well and they could leave.
Bandit turned around and offered Jerusalem exactly half of what was given him.
“And that's your half,” he declared.

”Hey, thanks,” Jerusalem said, receiving her half of the reward. Depositing it into a satchel on her waist, the redhead raised her hand and scratched her neck. It seemed normal at first, and then progressed into violent raking. If there had been no fashionable collar around her throat, it might have left painful marks in her fingers’ wake.
Looking over yonder for a moment, she placed a hand on her hip. The high was wearing off, but she felt no pressing need to take another hit of who knew what. At least for now.
”Well, that’s that. Hey Bandit, let’s go grab a drink or something.”
