hairy, black frog thing? [mission/ closed]

"Hello, hello! I'm Sov!" He shouted for no apparent reason, clearly in a very chirpy mood today. Watching her extend a hand in greeting, one of his clones would reach out for a handshake. The only trouble is, it was the wrong one. Sometimes his clones got a bit confused, one saw that something needed doing but the wrong clone would perform the action. This was one of those times, a Sovereign in the distance would begin shaking the air in front of a stand for a few seconds. "Pleasure to meet y-"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Cut short by a screaming frog thing, he raised an eyebrow and turned around. It had fallen over slightly, rolling on its back and screamed. This seemed to get the others to hop over to it, and push it back up on its front. "Um, oh, right."

They gathered together and smiled, their movement and voices in perfect unison, "Just the one. But sort of, not? I don't know, maybe we are different people."

They turned to face each other, then shook their heads and waved a hand in dismissal, "Naahhh, that would be too complicated. But we're all Sov, I think."

The chirps and plaps of the oversized bristle frogs continued, and he turned to face a group of them snacking on some vegetables they had stolen from a nearby market. "How do you suppose we uh... Do this?"

The Sovereigns nodded, turning to face the strange creatures hop around with no care in the world. Where did they even come from anyway? Sovereign had never heard of animals like this before, maybe it was due to the calamity, causing certain creatures to rapidly evolve in order to survive the wasteland of today.

"It's no trouble at all, we can round them up." They stuck their thumbs up in the air, then looked around for the best place to get them. "I say we gather as much food as we can and pile it up outside the town, there's a small barn just over there we can lock them in."

They then prepared to gather the weird frogs, tightening their leather gloves a little, "I hope the hairs aren't too pointy and sharp..."

If they said they could deal with the arrangement of food and lures, then he'd believe it. Sovereign stood there for a moment and watched as food and stalls melted into the shadows, only to reappear at a different one further away. The creatures were quite disgruntled, but Sovereign was very impressed by the speed and efficiency of it. "So cool!" His eyes lit up under his mask, sparkling as he bent down at the now ordinary shadow and poked it, obviously nothing happened, but it was just so interesting.

"Right then, round up, boys!" He clapped his hands, and his clones would swarm around him. "Make sure we get all these things into that barn."

With a point of his finger, the real Sovereign commanded his magical constructs to his bidding, each one bending low to the ground with outstretched arms as they tried to usher the creatures in the right direction. So far, they were quite obedient and just moved away from the annoying clones and their annoying smiles, but as time went on, they got more grumpier. Their weak cries and moans turned into grumbles, and flashes of their glowing teeth would be a more common sight as they bared them for all to see.

"Oh dear..."

They were getting braver. When Sovereign moved one along, two more advanced towards him. It didn't take long before his clones were surrounded by them, they started making strange sounds like a puppy whining, and then, after he accidentally stepped on one, it started screaming.

It set of a chain reaction, all the hairy frogs that could hear would also start screaming, literally like a person's. It set them into a frenzy, and they all started running around randomly with their giant mouths wide open, screeching as loud as they could.

"Shit, shit, shit!" The Sovereign's all started cursing in unison, doing their best to settle the situation. The clones then started getting attacked, the odd creatures started jumping up and biting down on their shoulders or ankles, their sharp teeth and bristles very painful and even causing some clones to dissipate after being completely swarmed by them.

"What the fuck is happening?!" They screamed back at the frogs, suddenly being the one to be rounded up and fleeing these oddballs.

"Bait?!" They all called out together again, their grins now slightly worried frowns. Running around erratically, the Sovereign's would do everything they could to outrun the increasing number of monster frogs, but their screaming continued and so did their consistent hopping and chomping.

"Okay, okay! We're coming!" They called out to Cheshire, and started picking up the pace towards the barn. Sovereign wasn't sure which was worse, the annoying sound of screeching that didn't seem to end, or the shared pain of being bitten by glowing teeth. "Why are there suddenly more of them?!"

Looking back, he'd see masses of the black creatures, like a sea of bristles and the odd blue glow from their open mouths. "Almost there!"

"Sounds good to me!" Sovereign shouted back at Cheshire, not really having many other options than to run straight into the barn and rely on his partner to get him out. He doubted these creatures would be able to cause any real damage to him if he allowed it, but he'd prefer to avoid getting chowed down on by their large luminous fangs. "Get ready!"

The group of Sovereigns (or what remained), ran straight into the barn and came across the large pile of food that Cheshire had transported inside. There were already a few of these odd creatures bouncing around, quite startled by the presence of the guild master and waves of their brethren behind him.

Not wasting much time, he'd begin to head towards the back and await for Cheshire to provide his way out.
