That probably answered the question, but now that they've found the kitty, it was only natural that they'd proceed with the next step of the mission - returning it to its rightful owner.[break][break]

Cheshire plucked the cat off its feet. It stunk, and its fur was covered in dust and grime, but she didn't care. She helped raise her brothers back home, and they were far worse creatures than this little thing right here. At the very least, if she pointed Tora away from her own self, it wouldn't puke on her for no reason at all. "I don't know how to get to her place, lead the way?"[break][break]

She cradled it like you would a baby, and began playfully wagging its paws. It'd been a long while since she's genuinely smiled, and these were one of the few things in life that managed to draw it out of her. And the jewels she'd be getting later of course, but nobody needs to know about that.

Quinn Stormgarde

Quinn smiled and led the way towards the inn that the Madame had been housing herself in. It was the best so to speak, although the only thing that was great about it was that it had its own room with showers installed within. It was high class, Quinn supposed. Better than the rest of the dingy ones around the village.

"You're really good at that," Quinn commented, still smiling as he glanced towards Cheshire who seemed to be taken with the cat. He was an animal person himself, but he could never say that animals took to him like Tora seems to have taken with Cheshire.

They soon got to the inn, and Quinn made to knock at the door.

A chubbier middle-aged lady answered the door. Adjusting her thick-rimmed glasses, she stared at the two mages for a brief moment, confused, as it was no one she recognized. Though, the moment Cheshire hoisted Tora up close to the woman's eyes, the one they call Madame Shijimi instantly snatched the cat away from the arms of the felid mage.[break][break]

And began cuddling it, endlessly, full force.[break][break]

"Yikes." Not one for keeping her thoughts to herself, she shuddered at what she was witnessing, and wondered if the display of over-affection was the reason why the cat escaped the rich grasp of this woman. Ah well, it didn't matter, even though Tora looked to be in a state of complete misery, it was all business to her anyway.[break][break]

"Thank you thank you thank you!" Bellowed the madame, her voice as thick as her heart of gold. "I thought I'd never see my baby again, and you've brought him home to mama!"

Quinn Stormgarde

Quinn sweat-dropped at the woman who seemed to be ready to kill her cat. The amount of force that the woman had for a simple cuddle was...astronomical. He felt bad for Tora, the cat, and could see why it had wanted to run away from his owner. Truth be told, if he was Tora, he would have ran away as well. Far away. Where nobody would ever find him.

"Uhh...you're welcome, Madame." Quinn bowed, before taking a step back and mouthing a sorry to the cat. He turned towards his partner instead, and held out his hand for a shake. It had been a good mission altogether, besides the fact that he really didn't do anything.

"Thank you for working with me, it has been a pleasure!" Quinn smiled widely, hoping to make acquaintances as he went along this journey of being a wizard.

Naturally, she'd wait until she received her pay before she spoke her piece.[break][break]

"You, you need to stop murdering your damn cat." She huffed at the lady, obviously still unhappy with the way the poor thing was being treated. It was business yes, but at the end of the day, if she was going to be an irresponsible owner, she might as well paid Cheshire full time to take care of her 'baby' as it was inevitable that it'd run away once more, perhaps even sooner than she'd like to think. "No wonder it fucking runs away once a week, geez.."[break][break]

"And you, you gotta lighten up man." Now, her attention turned towards the blonde male, she scratched her cheek, unsure of what else she'd tell him. She's seen a ton of mages who were disciplined and eager to learn, but because of how serious they took things, their expectations of what it means to be a strong magician was held in high standards. Reality however, can often be disappointing. "Take it easy, chill the fuck out, drink a glass of wine or something. Relax."[break][break]

With that said, she'd be on her way, marching back home and taking a well-deserved nap after.
