our future, destroyed [mission/event]

For someone who felt so awful for killing these poor children, he sure didn't hold back when he released a final attack. Perhaps it was just the overwhelming emotions that unhinged his strength, making Orion unleash overwhelming amounts of electricity upon the screaming children.

Or maybe he just enjoyed it?

Their bodies fell to the ground, the bones that sprouted from their bodies cracked and splintered. Maggots gushed out their bodies, writhing around on the ground next to their now defeated hosts. 

But that wasn't the end. No, that was just the beginning. The children's bodies were weak, starved. They lacked the same amount of power an adult would have, and thus, the magic reacted to it accordingly. It was constantly adapting, reacting insanely fast to the recent attacks upon them. 

Past the webs, were various piles of mining equipment that the stupid kids had brought with them. There were pickaxes, rucksacks, wheelbarrows, and a large floodlight which had been the source of the light from before. It suddenly flicked back on, starting off low and growing brighter with each second. There was an electrical hum accompanying it too, as if it was charging up to a light that it was not made for. It was blinding, and eventually, it built up so much with power that the lens smashed and the light blew. 

Darkness, once again. 

The pile of dead bodies before them would shift and turn, the sounds of bone scraping against stone could be heard as moist sounds of flesh fusing with flesh was also apparent. Something had risen once more, larger than a child and only a single mass. It was human, yet not, a horrifying amalgamation of those previously slain. 

A cacophony of screams would follow, a low rumble of a beast though still maintaining the pained screams of young ones. Its arms were just masses of twisted flesh, writhing around like serpents as each appendage came hurtling forwards, stretching out to harm and grapple both of them.

Orion couldn't dodge the next attack had to take it in full force. It had almost overwhelmed him, but he held on. Up close, Orion could see bodies amalgamated into the creature's tendrils. Orion saw red. The children's bodies were there as well. Orion saw red.

With a roar, he let the black lightning consume his body. It coated every inch of him, turning him into a vision that was as horrifying as the creature they were fighting. Orion looked godly, yet at the same time, his rage felt unholy.

"God Force...Mjolnir!" Without a moment to lose, Orion gathered the electrical charge in the air. It was humming, the remnants of Orion's earlier attacks, as well the natural charge of the atmosphere around them. He shaped it, formed it, and with another roar, he sent it towards the creature, whose position he guessed based off of the previous attack.

The attack took some of his life force, but he didn't care. This creature will pay.

Summary: Orion got hit, he activated God Force, and used his Limit Break, sacrificing 40HP on top.

The mutated children dealt tons of damage, tooth and claw ripping away at whatever they could get their hands on, while tendrils lashed out like pistons, causing deep bruising and shattering bits of the wall. It was a twister of an attack, ripping away at everything within its vicinity.

It would then drop down to the ground, standing on all fours with its body hunched over like an animal. A mouth opened where its skeletal head was, the bone splitting apart to reveal rows of teeth like a lamprey. It roared, a tongue flicking out as lightning and shadow mixed together. It hissed at the magic power building up, yet was not deterred by the sight of such thing. It did not feel fear, it hadn't learnt to. It didn't need to.

As both attacks came flying towards it, the flesh on its body would ripple like water. Lightning and solid shadow tore away at it, piercing straight through the creature and right out the other side. It could barely move, its whole body was being splattered against walls, all while the children seemed to cry out in pain, their distorted faces rising up on the flesh of the amalga-beast as if to deter the attack. But it was brutal and deadly, even with the weeping faces of children bared on its chest and arms.

Though somehow, after the brutal barrage of attacks. It was still standing, barely. It's body had been split apart from all the damage, chunks of it scattered around the cave. But as if they were multiple organisms, the maggots and blood would swarm back together rapidly, rebuilding itself with a new fury. It would leap forwards like a pouncing tiger, it's colossal arms landing heavily by Orion's side before it would attempt to envelope Orion within its own body. The flesh would part like a liquid, aiming to consume him whole and hold the lightning god slayer inside it. 

He'd then be crushed and clawed, tendrils of all shapes would sink into his flesh wherever it could and begin to drink away at his blood even just for a second, enough to sustain it that little bit longer.

Orion was splattered all over with the guts and gore. He would have been more frustrated by the fact, but instead, he only felt relief. The monster was finally dead, and he himself had almost been consumed by it. The nefarious thing breathed air like a natural being, yet it was an abomination, an aberration that should not have existed in the first place.

"You alright, Chesh?" He glanced at his partner. She had done well in the mission, and he'd have nobody else standing beside him against such a horror. Then he looked at the bodies. They were all scattered, with little left of the children for them to even be brought back with some dignity.

He sighed, "We can either return these bodies, or burn them right here. Give 'em a fiery send-off so that their souls may rest in peace," Bringing the bodies back was fine, but then they run the risk of some kind of infection if the bodies were corrupted still. But if they don't bring the bodies, then the parents of these children will be burying an empty casket. It was a hard decision.

Orion watched Cheshire as she did her thing. He could sympathize, the whole situation was just a mess. They had never thought that the children would turn up this way. They would have never thought that there would be a monster here, having fed on their innocence, and transforming them into something so foul, and so unholy.

"You alright?" He asked, taking his time with the corpses. She had agreed to take them, so he'll take the corpses to their parents for a proper burial. A proper burial for these kids would be their salvation.

"Make sure to use a cloth to grab them. These bodies..." Orion paused for a moment, "They're tainted..." These bodies were tainted by dark magic, and any prolonged contact might be detrimental to their own health. Best stay away as much as they can.
