Grabbing the helping hand, Kin popped out of her bind. She streeetched her whole frame. “Mmhm~!” Any longer in there and her legs would’ve cramped. She spun around and dipped her arms into the chest again. Clothing went flying as she rummaged aaand...
“Behold!”
The trickster proudly presented a woolly, white sweater. She nuzzled her cheek against the fluffy treasure, graciously offering her helper a touch too. “Can you feel that? It’s real wool. Probably cost a fortune.” And most importantly... It was dry and super warm!
Without wasting a moment, the ghostly mage slipped the warm clothing over her wet jumpsuit. “Much better!” It was at least two sizes too big, but she didn’t let tiny details bother her.

Staring in disbelief as she pulled out a woolly jumper, Sovereign blinked many times with his mouth now a confused 'O' shape. Did she really just... Claim this to be treasure? Sure, it might have been soft and comfy but, what about the mission? Or actual treasure. He couldn't help but laugh. Sovereign firstly began to snicker, then it turned into a giggle as he covered his mouth and slapped his knee. He found it so funny that his eyes began to water, even his clones all started chuckling. But it lasted too long, the laughter grew louder and more manic,
"HahAhAhaaHAAhAhA!"
With a flick of his wrist, three of clones morphed into large black spikes, darting towards the slave trader and impaling various parts of his body, pinning him against the wood as the magic skewered through him and the wooden wall itself. "Ha...Aha... Ah..."
Eventually stopping, he wiped the tears from his eyes and smiled at Kin, "Oh you do make me laugh."

Money was temporary, but comfiness... Well, also temporary, sure, but a warm sweater felt much nicer than cold cash. Especially right now. Priorities!
Kin smiled as Sovereign found the funny side of the situation. Laughter was one of her favorite sounds. When it turned maniacal, so did her smile sharpen into that devilish crescent grin she often wore. Madness and mischief went hand in hand, you know.
The trickster cast a passing glance at the magic impaling the man. Her wicked mask didn’t even waver. Yet beneath it, protests brewed. Dead people couldn’t play games. But she bit her tongue. It was fine. Everything was fine. Those who stole other people’s freedom didn’t count as people themselves, right? Right...
Kin snapped out of her thoughts and returned the smile. “It’s what I do~!” Among many other things. She turned away and went back to digging through the treasure chest. While snooping, she voiced a curious question.
“Well, did you get what you came for?”

Looking down at the shuffled papers in his hands, he'd give Kin a nod and smile at her. "I did, I think." He then frowned, and a few of his clones would leave the building to head to the slaves. "Although I'm worried I found out more than I needed to know."If this really was true, the documents had confirmed an illegal mining operation in the desert, powering pre-calamity artefacts through the use of people. There were some designs of the devices used, and he could only imagine how exactly this powering process worked. He needed to give it a look. "Say, Kin." He slid the papers over to her, "It seems our slaves are totally harmless. But this operation is a little bigger than I anticipated. I'll gather some more information on the matter, and send over details to you in a few days."Sovereign smiled at her, "That's if you want to tag along again?"[exit]

Burrowing through the clothing, Kin collected a big pile of warm treasure into her arms. ...Except for socks. Those were a conspiracy, you know. An uncomfortable one at that.
Between the motions, the carefree looter cast a surprised glance at the clone mage. She... really hadn’t expected him to share the secret so easily. Hm. Promptly dropping the clothes, she snatched the papers and skimmed over them. Her smile didn't waver, but her gaze narrowed.
When Sovereign suggested teaming up again, Kin didn’t even stop to ponder. “Hee, as if I would miss this.” She welcomed the chance to royally ruin some slaver’s day. Why? Well... Maybe she was feeling just a little...
Vindictive.
