POLTERGEIST. Poltergeist Magic is a type of caster magic that blurs the line between life and death. In its most basic form, it empowers the mage’s spirit and gives their body ghostly qualities. This enables all sorts of spooky trickery from floating to turning invisible and phasing through objects. Skilled mages are even able to separate their spirit from their body and channel it into inanimate objects, making them move as if controlled by unseen strings. As a curious cosmetic effect, casting any spells of this magic makes the mage’s body shimmer and eyes glow with an eerie light.[break]

ABILITY DESCRIPTION: By channeling spiritual energy, Kin can make her body briefly intangible. While the ability is active, she simply slips through any attack, obstacle or effect like she was never even there. A successful dodge is always accompanied by echoing giggling.

ABILITY NAME: Spooky Scream

ABILITY DESCRIPTION: Kin hides her face and briefly channels her power. When she reveals her features again, she lets out a chilling scream and a blast of dreadful magic. It rends the victim's soul and scares them senseless. A successful scare is always followed by a haunting laugh, while a failure usually invites a quizzical hum.

ABILITY NAME: Fade Out

ABILITY DESCRIPTION: By gathering a cloak of spiritual energy, Kin can hide her presence from all regular senses. Upon casting the spell, she turns transparent and vanishes with fading laughter. However, the cloak isn't perfect. Perceptive opponents can see a vaguely shimmering silhouette and hear silent snickering.

ABILITY NAME: Jump Scare

ABILITY DESCRIPTION: After succesfully avoiding attacks, Kin suddenly blinks a short distance and appears right in front of her target with a spine-chilling scream. She gathers all the wasted energy and lingering fear around her into a blast of dreadful magic. It grows stronger based on how much damage she dodged moments prior. Afterwards, mocking laughter adds insult to injury.

ABILITY DESCRIPTION: By emitting a steady stream of spiritual energy, Kin can make herself float and even fly. Doing so makes her an infuriating target to hit. Since her flight is completely silent, she likes to add her own sound effects while moving around.[break]
