it was uncommon to have a dragon hidden in the forests of the village and yet for romeo, it's all he ever knew. his large family had created a home for themselves to care for zakeer and has done so for the past 400 years. in that time, six of his family members had become lightning dragon slayers as a gift to them from the dragon to grow their powers and protect the village in time of need. romeo was seven years old when his predecessor at the ripe age of forty years old passed away. it was romeo's father's eldest brother. they hadn't expected a call to the children to zakeer but that's when the boy had been chosen. too much had the roughest and bravest boys been given a shot. this time the dragon sought after a much more subtle grace and found that within romeo.
