Hilbert’s face went through a number of different emotions at that moment. The young boy came off as annoyingly cheerful and happy, but a part of him was a bit scared. Scared that his superior wouldn’t accept his last minute gifts and completely ignore him. He never really been to a birthday that wasn’t for another fae or magical creature. So there was much to be desired by how he did things with humans and other humanoids.
But this just made him happier when the birthday girl accepted his mug and flowers. Yay! She accepted them!” He jumped back from the girl and into a open seat, happier than a kid in a candy store. The young boy was gonna mingle with other guild members before music started playing. Everyone’s attention, including his own, turned to one of the other Godfrey sisters, who started a rap song. Honestly, he would have provided a sick beat if they didn’t had music already. Wasted opportunity. Maybe someone else had a birthday that was coming up?
”Hehehehe....” The young man was flustered at the attention that was given to him, for a small moment. He felt like one of those kids that got noticed by their crush. It was then that he remembered that he didn’t even know the lady, but she was still hot. The tease! A exaggerated gasp was let out when Godfrey showed off the golden key. ”Is that important?” |

”Bored! I’m bored!” There he goes again. Hilbert kept complaining about the slowness of the trip by annoying everyone tocnear death about how bored he was. It happened so many times that the caravan started to make a drinking game about it. How long will Hilbert go without bitching about being bored. An hour? Less than an hour?
Why couldn’t a bandit or monster try to attack and give him something entertaining to do? A fight to the death was a lot cooler than a boring ass walk across country. ”Big Sis! I’m bored!” He has also been calling the foreign guild leader that, for the entire trip. He didn’t even know her that’s well.
”Big Sis?” He heard the mention of a group up ahead and quickly catched up. |

The forest’s trees were so thick and patched in between that the leafs almost blocked out the sun, completely. There is still enough that anyone could see the path in front of them, but not everywhere in the forest was like this. Just the entrance and path leading into it, mostly. Getting past this would lead to a large clearing that allowed anyone to see the sky and feel the sun’s light shining down on them. This part was where Hilbert use to live, with his mother. Everything was just as Hilbert remembered it
He hadn’t been gone for a long time, but he was still feeling home sick enough to come see his mother’s grave and visit his old home. The wood hadn’t decayed yet. Good to know. Raiding his old home, he found that his baby crib was still in the storage. Oberon was written on it. He almost couldn’t believe she kept it.
Walking back outside, he made his way to the field of flowers, with a large tree in the center and a wooden tombstone in front of it. The name Faye was on it. The young boy took a leaf from the tree and sat in front of the grave. He began to play a song on the leaf by whistling. |

Another individual would interrupt the party goers as the door was kicked wide open. ”Am I late?” The individual in question popped his head in and saw everyone enjoying the birthday party and even saw the cake that was out. They must be ready to sing happy birthday. ”Damn! I am late. Oh well, it’s better to be late than never showing up.” After talking to himself, he walked right in and closed the door behind him, with a smile on his face.
In his hands were two things. One was a simple coffee mug, but didn’t have any coffee in it. In fact, it looks brand new and even has that new cup smell. The words on it said “#1 Bitch” meaning that it must have been a custom design. In his other hand was a flower bouquet, but they didn’t look like normal flowers. The bouquet had an assortment of many different flowers, but each one had a glow of their respective color and radiated with magic. They even smelt much better than a normal flower.
”Happy Birthday, Bitch! Didn’t know what to get you so I just got these!” Hilbert held out the gifts to the birthday girl, in question, as casual as a friend for years would do. However, he was still a relatively new member and didn’t have that sort of connective with anyone here. Yet, he still acted like the annoying kid brother of the guild. |
