“Ree christ, got so scared he shit candy!”
The ominous background music stopped in its tracks, and her attention was drawn towards the pale-blue wrappers she witnessed on the ground. If the ghost was willing to give them treats, she wondered if he was so bad at all. Did that mean he was just a misunderstood spirit? Poor thing. Maybe he wanted to join Odin’s Spear?
“HEY! GHOST! YA’LL CAN’T BE TOO BAD IF YOU’RE GIVIN’ US SHIT, WE WON’T EAT YA IF YA COME OUT AN’ EXPLAIN SOME THINGS!”
Did she actually feel bad? Poor little guy. What was even the point in braining a ghost, anyway? It wasn’t as fun. No blood, no gore, no exploding skull fragments; just poof and they were gone into who knew where. She could probably look through her Eye and find out, though…
Halfway through Gato’s explanation, she strolled over and placed her arm on the couch.
“Anyone here like Drake?”

Well, that was one way to look at it. He had no idea what the candy entailed. It was likely not a great idea to just go ahead and eat it; but he was talking to the family at the time. Shouts from behind distracted, but not enough to pull his attention completely away. Though, when the whole of them was confronted with a question, all of them placed their focus on her.
“...Like, dragons?” This response actually came from the child; a boy who spoke before anybody else. Gato had no idea what she was talking about.
“Those are pretty scary; but you won't have to worry about anything like that anymore!” Gato placed a finger to the tip of his chin. “Or at least, ghosts you don't have to worry about. Not with this lady here around!”
Gato pointed out AJ with a one-armed gesture.

”You tryin’ to make me cry, Gato? Had yourself in a cute little girl mode and my heart was just dyin’ with how adorable you was!”
It was, to say the least, not the expected response when it came to having a finger prodded in her direction and her protective nature emphasized. A sigh rolled beyond her lips as the blonde slumped her shoulders, shaking her head.
Turning her focus towards the family, her lips curled into a grin. She doubted people such as these were going to survive long without help; it would be nice if she could get them to come into her settlement. More mouths to feed, but more people to get shit done around the place.
”Ya’ll are exposed down here, and got children. It’s safe up in Shale Town, why don’t ya’ll move in and let ol’ Odin’s Spear keep you protected from this shit?”

"Oh - um, sorry," he said, feeling obligated to apologize. Already, he felt that the technique he borrowed from her left him; but then as gangly as the form he possessed normally was; it was something he'd grown accustomed to.
They looked at one another as the woman spoke. Gato watched in silence wondering if they would actually leave their home for protection. He thought it a good idea, but many were not willing to flee their homes. It was, after all, their home and many stuck with them through hell or high water.
But there seemed to be an agreement that they would take the godfather up on her offer.
"Oh, wow. Okay." Gato clapped his hands together. "All's well that ends well!"

Anniken was glad that the family agreed to staying in Shale Town. The world was a harsh place, and people such as these would expire without the proper protection. Protection she failed to provide at times, but was going to make good on.
Giving a thumbs up, the woman would make her leave and show the group the way back to the town.
