Lost Boy [Mission/ Solo]

MISSION NAME: Lost Boy CLIENT: A worried mother CHARACTERS: Saros RigelMISSION BRIEFING: My son was taken by a bunch of intelligent crabs. We don't know where they took him, but it's probably not good. Bring my boy back, but beware of the crabs. Everyone is sure that they were being controlled by something more powerful.  | Saros couldn't understand why a bunch of crabs would take a boy, but he wasn't one to constantly ask questions. Instead he made sure to make his way to the beach where the child's mother said she found her sons hat began preparing himself for anything. He wasn't a fan of monsters abducting humans, even if humans practically did the same to animals and he definitely wasn't fond of killer/ kidnapping crabs. Red sneakers on his feet, a red sweater and jeans covering his frame with a light coat over it for good measure; he found his body sprayed with a bit of sand from the wind. His shoes sank into the earth while he eyes sank into their surroundings. Brown orbs peering over to a small hump in the sand, slowly moving over to the mound his eyes bulged. A blue sneaker was poking out of the ground, sending chills down his spine to accompany the already chilled breeze. The beach was inhabited by a few people, but they were all the way off into the distance away from the man. Giving the already eerie scene an almost terrifying atmosphere but he wasn't going to chicken out, not when the life of a citizen rested on him. Tagged: Saros Rigel

| Now kneeling down to pick up the shoe, Saros dusted it off and looked at the bottom of the item. There was a pretty basic pattern on it and he almost decided to look for foot prints before realizing the situation again. This would of been a lot easier in a forest or something like that but instead he was on a beach that was constantly shifting. There wasn't much way of evidence to follow, hell the crabs could of swallowed the boy into the earth. Sighing a bit, Saros decided to continue pressing forward on the beach, away from the people and deeper into the mystery. That was before he felt a rumbling. It was odd, almost like an earthquake but it reminded him more of burrowing and then he was raising an eyebrow. The sand was moving around him and tiny mountains of the substance were forming, no bigger than a peanut butter jar. "Looks like the parties about to begin"He spoke as he took a step back and cracked his knuckles, awaiting what ever threat was going to come and try to stop him. There wasn't any amount of creepy ass crabs that were gonna keep him from getting the kid back and they would learn that soon enough. Tagged: Saros Rigel

| The mounds erupted, and out oozed a crab the size of a human hand from each hump in the ground. At first Saros was taken aback by their size but he was also shocked at the fact that they were yelling battle cries. These things were far more intelligent than he first thought but it wouldn't stop him from finding their leader and disposing of them. He also found it secretly amusing that he'd run into yet another herd of talking animals. Holding up his hand, Saros summoned forth a precipitation of small beams of light which floated slowly above the crabs who all seemed to stop and watch in awe. Their fiery orange shells were suddenly covered in shadow and you could hear a plethora of screams before the destructive energy finally fell. Blasting through their ranks earning the creatures retreat, fearful of the hard hitting material. Saros also took notice that all of the crabs were running in the same direction and he smirked to himself. These crabs were intelligent but they weren't smart, at least not on his level. They were clearly running to 'safety' which was likely where their master was residing and so he followed closely while firing off bullets of starlight to keep them on edge. Tagged: Saros Rigel

| The crabs scurried quickly to the very edge of the beach and Saros was almost having a hard time keeping up with them. These things had stamina, he'd give them that, but they lacked any power other than their overwhelming numbers. Making their way to a small formation, the man believed the beach to end there but it looked like their was a cave covered with the sand to hide it. So their was their lair? Watching as the little crabs scurried to get into the cave, Saros stopped to catch his breath for a minute or so before moving closer to the opening to listen. He could hear the crabs speaking in a cacophony of squeaks, answered by a much deeper voice than their own. They all hurried to say how a pesky human had forced them to retreat and then there was a brief and awkward silence. "AND YOU RAN DIRECTLY BACK HERE?! I SHOULD OBLITERATE YOU ALL"The booming voice spoke and Saros grew wide eyed hearing what sounded like the slamming of something heavy onto the ground and the screams of the little creatures. He knew he didn't have a way in and so he would crouch to look into the hole that was covered and sigh before beginning to kick the sand deeper into the hole to create an opening. | After about a minute of kicking and freeing sand there was finally an opening to get through, and of course he slid down on the sand while still digging. After a few seconds he was landing roughly onto flat earth with a light thud that echoed throughout the cave. That same booming voice went from rambling to sheer silence, trying it's best to whisper for it's minions to check out the source of the noise. Welp, there went the stealthy approach. Pulling out his silver hook swords appropriately named after Gemini, Saros spun the weapons once and got ready for the beasts to charge him. Watching as tiny shadows began pouring in after less than a minute prompting him to swinging his weapons wildly. Slicing limbs off the attackers and shattering the others, flinging their shell pieces to the opposite wall of the cave. Finally after around a 2 minutes of the fighting he had worked his way through the scouts and sighed while taking a second to catch his breath. Man he was getting too old for this, and he smoked too much to have pristine lungs anymore. Saros walked deeper into the hole, moving around the corner of the cave and his eyes went wide with surprise. "You have got to be kidding me." Was all he could muster from the sight. | Saros almost couldn't believe his eyes as he came around the corner of the cave and bore witness to the biggest crab he had ever seen. The beast had to be 15 feet tall, blazing orange with the little lost boy tied up in the corner behind it. Light shone in from a big hole broken through the rock formation that made up the cave and he only wondered how no one had seen what was going on. That was before he realized that the opening of the cave was further out in the water and didn't offer much room for swimming, unless you were an aquatic creature. With the wild waves crashing against the side of the shelter keeping visitation to the sea folk and apparently giant crabs. Despite all of this the older man held back a fit of laughter, surprised at the situation before him. Was this really all he would have to deal with? A bunch of angry crabs that couldn't take him on their best day? This was just... pathetic, but his priority was the safety of the little boy. So he would stifle his laughter and smirk at the creatures. "This has got to be some kind of joke. You really think you're a match for me... an actual mage?"Clearly he'd offended the beast given it's growl of frustration and voice filling the area. "THIS IS NO JOKE HUMAN, YOU WILL LEAVE NOW OR FACE ME AND MY ARMY! WE ARE A FEARSOME LOT WHOSE POWER RIVALS THAT OF THE SEA GODS!"Tagged: Saros Rigel

| Scoffing at the blaring vocals of the sea sweller, Saros sheathed his hook swords on his hips while his face retained that cocky smirk. Eyes lit with a burning passion and he wasn't in the mood to spend another five minutes beating crabs into a collective dust, opting to instead use his magic to get the job done. One mage vs an army of 30 crabs, not including their massive leader? Cracking his neck, he showed his arrogance by putting his hands behind his back. "If you don't want to die, I suggest you run now."Naturally they didn't listen. "YOU DARE TO CHALLENG...!"Before the crab could finish his sanctimonious sentence, a wave of starlight went flying through the air aimed at his face. The blast was hard, the shell of the 'boss' telling him that by how it let out a cracking noise on impact; damaging it's front shell and face. It's minions were seemingly washed away by the blast but collected themselves if they could, others found their bodies flipped and unable to continue the fight. Such a design flaw, not that it would matter in the long run. They could never hope to defeat him on their best day. Tagged: Saros Rigel

| "You're dumber than you look. "The star slinging man taunted, his hands engulfed in silver energy ready to rip through any of the creatures that approached. With a lunge and a few swings of his hands, sharp beams of energy cut through a few more of the creatures, shaped like crescent constructs of force. The targets in question? Flying about, shattered and sizzling from the sheer heat and blast of the attack, but he hadn't gotten them all. The large crab wouldn't go down without a fight, swinging it's massive claw at him with enough strength to launch him off his feet. Flinging him into the cave wall, the middle aged man groaned while quietly while standing to his feet and chuckling. Dusting himself off and coughing a little from the impact threatening to have emptied his lungs. The big crab wasn't just going to take the loss of his life, hostage, and goals but it wouldn't matter. With a trio of star bullets flying at the creature it hollered in pain from the rocks shattering and burning wherever they hit. Swinging it's arms wildly once more to try and cease the onslaught, the cave shaking and moaning under the sheer pressure. A sure sign that he was winning. "Now lets finish this!"Tagged: Saros Rigel

| Saros was face to face with an ugly orange sea spider, one the size of a small home, and he held no fear. This thing was surely going to regret ever trying to ascend the food chain, especially with a leap so massive, and it was going to happen right now. Slowly crossing his arms above his head, the man's white hair would begin to slowly sway as he summoned magical power to use against the giant crab. The shadows around the two of them would suddenly begin to bend and wind toward him, prompting the crab to begin trying to move away but it couldn't. It's large body trapped within the cave it had decided to make it's home. Suddenly, the shadows drawn toward him would form a small, floating black orb continuing to grow in size; birthing small white lights inside it, similar to the night sky. "With this next attack, your time on this world will cease. Behold, Altairis!"Saros would yell, the gravity well sucking in the bodies of all the inhabitants of the cave, grinding the small crabs caught in it's pull into a fine orange mist. Without a single motion the orb of black would rocket forward, directly at the exposed portion of the crab through it's broken shell, filling the cave with it's final scream. Tagged: Saros Rigel

| Fully taking the life of the crab with his violent assault of universal forces, the beast fell flat. It's insides crushes and ground by the incredible force of the black hole, and the cave grew silent once more. Save for the sound of waves slamming into the side of it's body. Saros rushed over to the little boy, first checking him to make sure he was okay and then sighing in relief when he found he was only unconscious. Thankfully the crab hadn't had time to feast on him, merely tie him up which he couldn't figure out how it had managed to do that with his own logic. How can a crab tie a knot? Then again how can a crab even talk? Taking the kid into his arms and smiling while lowering the tone of his voice, the slinger of heavens bodies took on a friendly, almost fatherly, speaking manner. Tussling the boys hair who was nestling his face into the mans thick bicep, holding him for comfort. "I'm glad you're safe kiddo. Now let's get you back to your mother, okay?"With that, the two made their way back to the city where he was handed over to his mother with tears streaming down her face. She handed Saros the bag of money after embracing her child and promised to never take him to another beach again, which didn't seem to bother the horrified kid. Saros didn't exactly know the motives of the smart crabs but he knew it was a mission well done. Tagged: Saros Rigel
