Shadow Fist(Fight/Closed)

Kasumi was glad that she was not the jumpy type...she would have unintentionally attempt to strike her friend right there. Instead she would stop in the middle of her strike, exhaling before lowering down her fists to turn and face her. Draped in purple sports bra and black shorts, she would move in and embrace her closely.

"You surprised me. Your stealth is as enviable as always."

Glancing back towards the training doll, Kasumio would make a shrugging gesture. Her strikes bore no intent to damage the doll, as she was moreso perfecting her kata than unleashing her stress on it.

"Perhaps. Or maybe it would simply give you a confident smirk akin to one of the old grandmasters."

Upon being asked of her well being, Kasumi would make another shrugging gesture though this time there was a look of uncertainty behind them. To a more observant fellow, one could notice that she had developed bag around her eyes but only if they were paying attention as she had use concealers to hide those eye bags.

"Since our last mission? Not a whole lot. Are you ready to get things started?"

"Well, that's what we are here for yes? For you to show me your technique."

Of course, Kasumi was no manipulator of shadows so trying to mimic it directly would be an exercise of futility. What she would be studying was how Cheshire would execute that technique and try to recreate her own version of it. It had somehow worked with Ivory before and she hoped that she would be able to do the same now.

When Cheshire mentioned about her eyebags, Kasumi frowned as she raise her hand to feel them. She must have been more out of it than she had thought, as she took a handkerchief to rub the sweat off her face. Cheshire's implication on that she was being kept up all night by her partner made her cheek blushed slightly though her face remained neutral as always.

"It's nothing like that." she started while rubbing her side."To be honest, it had something to do with our previous mission..."

As Cheshire had no intention to get started on their training right away, Kasumi decided to humor her for now so that her mind would be more focused later.

"I have been seeing visions...images. Of things I could not quite remember how I come into possession of knowing them. Yet they felt familiar somehow." the purplette frowned slightly at the thought. She did not possess any magic that would help her get such vision so it was quite perplexing for her.

Kasumi listened quietly as Cheshire told her own experience with visions. Her neutral expression turned into one of a frown upon seeing her die in the most gruesome ways. It made her more reluctant to share her own experience at first as she turned to face her. Her face was that of deep concern...what she had just described was not something one can shrug off easily.

"That's not good at all. Are you still having these visions? Maybe we should bring you to Berry, perhaps there's a prescription or something she could suggest. One must always take care of their mental health as much as physical health."

That had to leave some sort of psychological scars on her mind. Granted, she wasn't sure if Berry could heal those kind of scars but it was worth the try nonetheless. If nothing else, she may have acquaintances who would specialize in that area.

"My visions pales compared to what you go through. I don't mind sharing but it's nothing as dreadful as yours..."

A frown emerged as her proposal was swiftly rejected by the catgirl. She wasn't quite sure if the girl was trying to put on a brave front for her junior member. With great reluctance, she decided to drop the subject though she kept a mental note on the strange entities she had mention. If something was to happen to her in the future...

Well, that would be a story for another time.

As Cheshire had deflected the question back to her, Kasumi took a moment to consider her choice of words. She wasn't quite certain on what conclusion she can draw from the images she could see inside her head so for now she decided to stick to the facts. At least, until she can find out more about her past.

"My visions involved myself inside a lab. I often see myself being subjected through different experiments...sometimes they would inject some sort of serum inside me other times I am being forced to eat on lacryma crystal. Others were moreso blurry image."

She paused a bit before turning to face Cheshire.

"I always thought of myself as a human Cheshire. But what if I'm not? What if I'm like that guy we fought the other day? That a similar serum was dormant inside me before I turned into one of those things."

She swallowed slightly in response.

"What if I'm an abomination Cheshire? Something that cannot be suffered to live..."

The purplette was not the type to wear emotions on her sleeve. She would normally suppress them as much as she could only tapping into them when she was about to deliver an explosive attack that would completely eviscerate her enemies. In such case, she would tap into rage often born from annoyance or anger she had bottled away. But fear? Fear was a different thing altogether. Few things can make her shake in the boot save perhaps a certain dragon slayer.

"Precisely what I'm worried about Cheshire. Suppose I would lose myself...let it be in the thick of our enemies rather than surrounded by allies. That way I will not harm those who I cared for most."

Kasumi highly doubted she could handle the stress of injuring let alone killing a comrade of hers. And if those happen to be the one she cared for most...nay, she better spend her energy trying to avoid that outcome than worrying about it.

"I supposed I am in a bit of a crossroad. On one hand, I do wish to become stronger. On the other hand...that would make me difficult to be stopped should the worst scenario happen. What do you think I should do?"

Kasumi narrowed her eyes slightly upon the inquiry posed upon her. She was letting her emotions get to her when she should have repressed them. The images that formed in her head was concerning but it was not like there had been any incident where she had hurt a colleague of hers quite yet.

No, there was one such incident. The tournament where she had fought with her "sister" was the source of her nightmare. Instead of knocking her out, what happened in her dream was the worst possible scenario that could have happen. It was what had gotten her up in cold sweats almost every morning, only reassurance that such thing did not transpire by her lover kept her mind sane.

"...I dreamed I kill her. Ivory Valkov I mean."

Swallowing slightly, she balled her fist a bit. Cheshire was perhaps the second person she had shared such information with other than her significant other. She wasn't quite sure if she should try and talk with the person within the dream herself, her Aneue would probably have laughed it off and chalk it as a silly dream.

"But you're right. Perhaps I am just getting worked up by that dream. I've had plenty of nightmares before, this one just hit closer to home I guess." she finished with a slight shrug.
