Her position was jeopardized however, as that left her crouching and in the process of getting back up. It didn’t surprise her one bit; the beast was legendary, and it wouldn’t have earned its various titles and infamy had it not been for some amount of nefarious ability. Before she could get her bearings and use her abilities, an acute sensation of blunt force struck her across the face. There was a moment of disbelief initially. While the attack didn’t do that much damage to her, she still spit out a few drops of blood from an internally wounded cheek. The cigarillo she had wedged between her lips had been dislodged, and perhaps that was the most irksome thing about the attack. Following that, the Godfather began to laugh, hard enough to leave her sanity in question. Abruptly, she was no longer in that placement. Deleting the event in time where Mercy was able to react, she slammed her shin into her sister’s head in what many would call a question mark kick—a variant of the roundhouse kick. -- HP: 276/300 | MP: 90/100 ATK: 15

Too much trainin’ just makes it so you can train less in the long run.” Closing the distance once more, Anniken swiped with Fortune quickly, not aiming for anywhere specific. Tilting her head to the side, Mercy hesitated upon receiving the short pep talk from her sister. She felt a mixture of emotions then: shame upon realising that her unnervement was so obvious, pride from the praise, and finally determination that she would adopt her sister's perspective.

Although her mind rebelled against Anniken's suggestion to call it a day, her aches and injuries wholehearted agreed. As though to prove their point, the exhaustion which had insidiously been creeping up to Mercy prevented her from dodging the incoming attack from Fortune.

"Fenrir – to me!" The wolf galloped towards her, intercepting the sword's strike and blocking the worst of its damage from Mercy. However, receiving a direct hit from a blade was too much for the Spirit who subsequently disappeared back to its home world in a shower of sparkles.

Mercy's forearm caught the end of the Anniken's slash, but fortunately, the injury only penetrated skin and the most superficial layers of muscle.

"Ah! Yeah!" She spluttered, clutching at the latest wound before grimacing. "You're probably right – though for the record I could have continued fighting for the rest of the day!" She hastened to add, although the fatigue and pain stricken across her face told otherwise.

Fenrir taking the brunt of the attack was a good thing, because though necessary, repeatedly hitting her sister with a sword was never the best feeling in the world. Brutality in training was good though—because there were things out in the world who transcended her brutality in practice matches by light years. Maybe this would prepare her for it, maybe her conditioning as a role model would pay off. Her eye seldom showed her visions pertaining to that. What a cruel thing. ”Yeah, I know you coulda,” she said, flicking the blood off her sword before placing it back into its sheath. Taking a step closer, she dropped all intention to attack as though it were igneous coal. Raising her hand, she placed it on top of her younger kin’s head, and brushed her wolfish ears with lithe, gloved fingers. The one that wasn’t bleeding everywhere. ”Hell yeah, you did! Calls for some real damn celebration. We ought to go bug the doc to heal us up and then I’ll let you try some of this new whiskey I found, y’hear?”The ability to sustain injuries of this severity and not spend ludicrous amounts of medical supplies on them was a godsend.
