Orion sat by the window of the room. He had been here for quite awhile, just staring into the unknown. The man had been patched up neatly by the guild healer, but the person he was in the room with was still unconscious. Bonnie, the mage that almost beat him, had beaten herself. Orion sighed comically, "How does one knock themselves out."
He turned towards the mage, who was lying in a cot. She had power. Raw power unparalleled here in the guild, at least at her level. Orion was sure he didn't have the same amount of power level as this girl when he first started, yet Bonnie seemed to have this untapped potential within her. If fostered, Bonnie would be someone to be respected and feared as a mage of Cait Shelter.
Then, he saw her stir. It was a slight one, almost unnoticeable, but Orion saw it just at the corner of his eye. He saw her hand twitch, and her face move. "You awake?" He called out, still sitting on the chair, smoking his cigarette. There was a question he was dying to ask her.

She remembers blacking out, a fight with Orion. She had tripped and fallen, or something. Bonnie's memory was already shocking enough as it is, last thing she needed was a head injury. Wrapped snug under a duvet, she'd wriggle around and slowly open her eyes. The room was something she recognised, definitely an area of Cait Shelter guild hall, or maybe a detached building from it. Then there was someone in the corner, "What..." She squinted her eyes, her vision slowly returning, "Aureon?" She'd ask quickly, her head still a little scrambled. "Oh dear, the fight..." Bonnie slowly turned her head, looking around to see her sword by her bed, "Did I win?" Orion Prima

The man neverminded the way she had said his name. A lot of people bungle it up anyways. How? He wasn't sure. A bi-syllabic name shouldn't be hard to pronounce, but then, people surprise you for the worst. So Orion just nodded before leaning back.
"Yeah, you definitely won," Orion smiled. She had definitely won that fight, even though she had been the first one to have crumpled over and gone unconscious. Bonnie was definitely stronger when it came to the blade, something he needed to practice himself.
"How are you feeling? How much do you remember?'" Orion asked curiously.

She won? Amazing! Her face lit up slightly, but when she smiled she felt an odd bruise across her right cheek, that throbbed with pain when she made any kind of facial expression that wasn't a neutral one. "Ah, that is great news." She nodded like an old man, as if she expected that answer. "I feel... Fine." She looked back at her sword for comfort, "But you're asking me too many questions. It's impossible for me to remember, honestly Onion, you need to respect my boundaries." She crossed her arms and huffed, getting defensive with him due to her lack of own memory. Truthfully, she didn't care about stuff like boundaries and manners, but she liked to talk about them to make her seem more lady-like and less boring. It gave her some kind of personality, it made Bonnie, Bonnie. Orion Prima

Orion smiled at her reaction. She definitely did win the fight. her ferocity, as well as her skill with the sword, would have won her the day. Of course, she did use magic while Orion didn't, but that was besides the point. The woman was very gifted with the blade, and if she were to hone it, she would be a very deadly foe,.
"Oh, sorry," Orion held up his hand in surrender. Boundaries, yes, those do exist. The man sometimes forgot himself, and maybe got a bit too chummy for some people's liking.
He looked up once again to the young woman, and asked, "At least answer me this, where did you learn to use that sword so well?" He was very curious, and hoped he wasn't prying too much. But the man needed to know, his curiosity getting the better of him.

Bonnie grabbed the covers and pulled them up to her face a little more, her toes beginning to poke out the end of the bed as she wiggled them a bit. She was bored of questions already, and didn't want to talk about it anymore. But she knew Orion would not care for that, and would probably leave if she asked him to... But, she didn't. "My sword skills?" She looked over at it, feeling an odd warmth in her arm every time she did so. "Well someone obviously taught me how to. Jeez you're such a plonky-yellow vulcan brain sometimes."That was definitely the truth, at least she thinks so anyway. It's not like she could teach that kind of stuff herself anyway. But the only reason she got so defensive was because she didn't really know, not one bit. She wondered herself why she was always so attached to the weapon, and her armour. Maybe it was because she... She... Bonnie tried to remember her earliest memory of herself, but all the woman could remember was just that. Her sword, her armour, and maybe a forest? She threw herself back into the bed, groaing in annoyance of her own stupidity. "Ugh, I'm such a dummy-ding wollop."Orion Prima

Orion laughed out loud at her antics. True, someone must have taught her. Orion's magic was taught by a book, after all. And he guessed everyone else learned their magic through a mentor, teacher, or even parent. Maybe self-discovery was also a thing, but experience itself is a teacher in a way.
"I suppose you're right," the man smiled softly, looking back outside, and staring into the clouds, "You got a good swing, and your technique is quite fleshed out. There was randomness, and efficiency was your best friend." Each of her swings had mostly rang true. And the strength behind it gave the mage her power. She was formidable in every sense of the word.
He then turned towards her with a grin, "Tell me, why don't you go out on missions? With your skill, you wouldn't even have much trouble with the simplest of them!" It was a legitimate question, one he was confused about. The woman didn't need a partner. Hell, she could solo most of the lower tiered missions. Why did she never seem to take any?

"Stop complimenting me, it's weird." She grumbled, still half hidden under the bed covers. Bonnie never really battled in front of anyone before, yet alone with someone, so it was weird when people brought up her sword and magic skills. "And the answer to that is simple, I just... Can't be bothered." At least she's sure that's why. What else could it be? Then she paused, there it was again, the odd feeling in her arm. It felt like she was standing near a fire, but it was only her one arm that got hot. Glancing over at her sword, she'd feel an odd energy coming from it, attuned to her and only her, except it was different somehow. "Orion," She'd ask innocently, "When you use your sword, do you feel like it talks to you sometimes? Like it's doing all the work?"Orion Prima
