Three seconds.
Something was coming. The magical energy that surrounded him was so thick she could almost taste it. He had charged in to attack, closing the distance rapidly between them. His hands was coated with lightning so powerful it could have slain a god. This was the kind of fight she was waiting for.
Two Seconds.
Kasumi's brain went into an overdrive. She could see his hand rush towards her torso. The moment it hit, she would have been shocked and likely had to forfeit right there. Thus she made a gamble. She would take the attack fully and hit Orion back in return.
One second.
She could feel the heat emanated from the lightning that wreathed his hand. The thought it may puncture her flesh almost made her waver from her gamble.
Zero second.
The electrifying scythe of the reaper struck Kasumi hard in the chest but her own fist would move in response smashing right at Orion's jaw at the same time.

Hisown attack got sent back to him again, causing the lightning god slayer to be propelled away by the force. He wasn't prepared at all for it, and paid the price. For a strength-type mage, Kasumi really liked to use his own attack against him, and it's really making him kind of irritated.
"Seems like you're almost out of steam!" Orion grinned, his own body was now littered with bruises, courtesy of the young woman. She had been brutal with her attacks, not holding back one bit, and he loved it! He'd rather be beaten up than face an opponent who didn't take him seriously at all.
"Come on then, free shot! Show me why you should be the one who wins the tournament!" Orion opened his arms wide. He needed Kasumi to exceed her limits. She needed to break through the barriers she had set upon herself, and grow into a much more powerful mage. More powerful than himself. He had absolute faith in her.

"Haa...haa..."
Heavy breathing followed as Kasumi steadied herself on her feet. In order to defeat an opponent much stronger than herself...she had trained herself to channel the energy of her opponent and deal back an equally heavy blow. Of course this technique was not without a cost as it would receive a robust body to pull off fully and she was anything but that.
Her clothes was completely burnt by the electricity. Her body felt sore all over. She could barely lift her hands to maintain a fighting pose. Yet Orion beckoned her to attack anyway.
"Sure but you'll regret this."
Kasumi would cock her fist backward. Her arm muscle bulges slightly and she could feel them groaned in protest. They were already painful enough when she was in top shape. Her fist glowed with an energy spike unlike anything she had shown before. In response to Orion's challenge she could only answer him with this strike. Her fist would rocket hard towards his chest with as much power as she could muster.

Orion took the hit head-on, and boy did it hurt. But he held himself steady. He would definitely feel that tomorrow morning. The young woman had definitely put all of her strength in that one attack, and Orion was very proud of her. His big proud smile said it all.
"You've done well, Kas" Orion would whisper, before curling his finger, and placing it on the girl's forehead.
Then, he would flick. using just enough force to knock the young woman unconscious. She would be fine in the tournament, and he would be cheering for her. Leaps and bounds, that's what Kasumi will achieve if she keeps going with this mage career of hers. One day, he hopes to see fight her toe-to-toe. He didn't mind at all if she'd bested him one day. It would do him proud.

"Tch..."
The impact of the strike would probably knocked a gigantic animal away from the arena but Orion had took it dead on. Just once, she had hope to see that Orion would have been sent backward by her own attack. But the hope had vanished as soon as she saw Orion didn't budge at all. Yet Orion was smiling towards her. She wasn't quite sure why. Nor did she have any time to figure it out. As by the time she felt his finger struck against her forehead she fell limp.
When Kasumi woke up, she found herself in an unfamiliar room. Looking around, it took a moment for her to register that she was in the
infirmary room. Her whole body still hurt somewhat but she had more or less recovered thanks to the healer here. Looking out the window, Kasumi take a breathe and exhale promising herself to improve herself even more.
"Still a long way to go..."
