On the Hunt (mission, ft. Ivory Volkov)

Ivory would come upon Violet eating happily away on a apple pastry. "Oh? Snack time before the mission? You might regret that later if you gotta run." She'd tease, plopping down on the stool next to Violet. Despite the woman's Godfrey status, Ivory hadn't formed a bond as strong with her as she had with her other sisters. But that didn't lessen the affection in her crimson eyes when she peered upon her. After all, they were essentially family. If not for OS relations than because of her sheer connection to Justice and Anniken.

"Are you ready? I've got a lead already. Our hairy target has supposedly been spotted in a travelers tavern in between here and Basalt."

Ivory returned the young girls' embrace, quietly wondering if the Godfrey would take note of how cold her body was. Being recently turned undead was something everyone seemed to be adjusting too, but foremost her own self. It was difficult embracing the living without also being increasingly aware of their pulse beating in her ear.

"That's good to hear then! I'll trust you on that."

When Violet shifted to seriousness, Ivy's own veneer shifted to something less friendly as she nodded in agreement. "Don't worry. He'll be annihilated and, hopefully, lead an example to anyone else who dare challenge Odin's Spear."

"It'd be faster if I rode us, do you have an aversion to heights? I have a pegasus form suited to mounted travel."

"Perfect then! I can't talk while I'm in this form but, feel free to chat at me if you want~"

Ivory didn't waste any time, though she did bother giving Violet a playful wink before her features were overtaken by a fire accented pegasus. Once complete, a massive ebony steed was in her stead, it's head shaking and hoof stomping a few times. It was always fun to act horse-y when you were in it's form.

Snorting, she'd press her equine nose against Violet's hair, gently nudging her before bowing and allowing her to get on.

The flight was quick and as usual, she relished in the sensation of air flowing through her hair and feathers. It was always such a magnificent feeling - not the mention the total silence that height brought with it, save for the rushing sound of air in your ears.

When the half-way tavern came into sight, she'd lower a few meters before reaching it, in the surrounding forest area. It was still in view but now they'd have to walk there.

"Yeah, the witness said he was a redhead with a scar across the left side of his neck. Big build. Medium aged."

She motioned for Violet to follow as she stepped through the trees, heading toward the dirt path that lead to it.

"Since this tavern is protected by an OS agreement, we'll need to convince him to come outside. We don't wanna damage it, okay?"

Ivory simply grinned as Violet spoke, her footfalls continuing on the path to the tavern which was quickly approaching. "How about I let you decide how we punish -- and murder -- him? OS enemies deserve any punishment, no matter how primitive. In my opinion, anyways. He is a murderous scum, anyways, he deserves what he dishes out."

With Violet's suggestion, she'd give a sly nod, almost as if she had already expected the input. "I'm a vampire, remember? I can likely compel him to come outside for whatever reason~ unless he's quite powerful, then I suppose I'll just grab his noodle and see if that's convincing enough for him to follow."

"Hmm, I'll take him half way from here and the forest edge we came from. We can bait him further away if he ends up being harder to kill than 1, 2, 3."

She would leave with that, a hand smacking her ass on her way off; it looked like all of AJ's family was quite shameless. She threw up her hand to reveal a playful peace sign to the ass-slapper before she entered the tavern.

Once inside her crimson pools scanned the small crowd there; it didn't have many inhabitants due to it's more desolate location as opposed to the taverns in town. She was looking for a muscular redhead -- and it wasn't hard to spot him, sitting with some older busty lady in the corner of the tavern, his face flushed with drunkenness.

Excellent, the drunks are always easiest to compel, regardless of how powerful they are.

She sauntered over, slamming her hands on their table when she arrived to garner their attention. When he locked eyes with her, she could feel the slits of hers dilate as she proceeded to prod his brain with her racial power. "You want to come outside and follow me, don't you?"

"Y-yes." He agreed, suddenly looking quite empty minded. The alcohol infusion thwarting his thinking abilities having made him an easy victim.

"Follow me then, leave this girl behind, she's got nothing on me."

The woman gasped, but when Ivory flashed her fangs at her, she looked away immediately.

With that Ivory would walk back out, the man slowly stumbling after her. She'd go to where was agreed; hoping Violet was ready in such short notice.

“What is this?” He questioned, but hardly did the question find itself out into the open air before a sphere of darkness collided with him. Before the dust could clear and despite his crocked disposition, he acquired a fairly good grasp of the situation.

“Oh, I think I know now,” he said as he rubbed up and down a forearm – one that appeared to have taken the brunt of that attack. Fishing a small bottle from his pocket, he unscrewed the top and downed the whole thing.

“Ah. Okay, well -” And he melted into a blur of motion as he attempted to punch the girl who threw the attack in the stomach. When he came to a stop, his stance was less of a street brawler and more of a trained martial artist.

“Let's get this over with.”
