a toast! a toast! [closed/social]

Andesitians knew how to party, didn't they? She'd heard the adult populace of the town celebrating from across the village. A noisiness that enhanced as she neared the wood crafted tavern. Compared to most of the other structures within the village, the tavern seemed newer - evidently the town really cherished it's alcohol, which also explained why they had paid so well.

Once she entered, she'd receive a round of applause as they recognized her as one of the ones who had saved their precious stock. Winking and waving in response, she'd hear Orion over the hollering.

"Eyyy~" She made her way to the corner, in a somewhat private area - in comparison to the other seats available anyways. She'd take a spot and give him an amused beam, "They sure do love their alcohol, eh? It's like we saved their God."

"Is it?" She teased, amused with his enthusiasm over the beverage. She couldn't argue with that fondness, however! She too enjoyed being wasted, even if nowadays she had to go through species loopholes to achieve it. When the patrons offered her a drink, she'd happily oblige, but hadn't taken a sip yet.

"Back to guild duties! Coming here was my vacation, but I saw the mission notice and couldn't pass up such an easy job. How about you? Does Cait Shelter keep you mages busy?"

As she spoke, her voice transfigured from feminine to masculine, just as did her body. She'd been wearing a basic crimson shirt before the shift and short shorts, which still remained in place despite her sudden physique change. Her shirt was quite stretched now, as a male's broad torso was squeezed into it. But he didn't seem to mind being awkwardly attired, and he'd quickly take up the mug near him and begin to down it.

Ivory was contemplating the thought, and decided if it were a region, he too would raise his hand to volunteer as a priest. Even if half of his volunteering would be for the sake of drinking the blood from worshiping nuns. Surely they'd offer their veins to him if they thought he was a renowned Alcohol Priest, after all!

The take-over mage nodded to the man, taking in his lifestyle's explanation. It was curious, certainty, that Cait Shelter had no designated things for him to do, but he supposed each guild functioned differently.

With his drink already gone, he'd wave down for another as his peripheral caught Orion desperately pointing him up and down, evidently confused from the sudden shift away from the feminine ebony-haired body. Amused by the reaction, he'd purse his lips in a 'sexy' manner, and flutter his eyelids as if he were trying to flirt, "Oh honey, this was all for you! Don't you like it?"

He was smirking still, evidently entertained by the male's responses. Following his gaze, even, he'd find the attractive femme he'd temporarily gawked at, and would give a slow approving nod as his own gaze sinfully scanned her gloriously physique..

Unlike Orion, he stared a few moments too long, and was only snapped back to attention with the man's continued inquires.

"Oh, I guess they're both technically me. But my original form is the female. Problem is I -- or she -- was recently afflicted with vampirism, so I can no longer feel the effects of alcohol while in my original body. Thankfully take-over magic is so intricate that the biology of the species I turn into is accurate to that species. So this neko male can still get drunk! Thankfully! Plus it also has no thirst for blood, which is a plus when surrounded by raging pulses."

"It seems my desire for blood is tied with my usual capacity for sexual attraction, male body bags don't seem nearly as tasty, so you're good! Unless I'm starving." He took another long swig from his refilled mug, grateful for the existence of it's taste and the warmth it brought to his neck. "Tedious? Never! I love being able to become anything. I mean, so long as I have loved that something or killed it, it can be mine to become. Cats. Dogs. Werewolves. You name it. I can experience the myriad sensations of a thousand of animals or beasts. That can never be tedious."

With Orion's ending surprise, Iv quirked a brow, wondering how the male had spoke of blood and yet had missed the concept entirely. What a silly man! "Yes. Have you ever met one? It's new to me. Up until a week ago I had never even came across a vampire."

Iv rose his shoulders and dropped them, an announcement to his own general befuddlement toward the vampiric kind. "Honestly? I'm not really sure. The man who turned AJ and I was quite eccentric. He fed wild animals and had a thing with triangles.. but he seemed kind-hearted and certainly didn't' jump on us for our blood the moment we arrived. I think perhaps -- if my own self is any reflection of it -- that they're just like anyone else, granted with different motivations and core values to dictate them. But the blood lust part? Definitely true no matter what. I seem to always be thirsty when I'm in my base form. But I haven't lost control yet so.. I guess the rumors of that aren't all too true."

"Oh!" He seemed to have remembered something, as per his widened expression, "We also have that nifty speed you saw earlier! Plus.. I can compel others to obey me. But it seems temporary and generally only effective on non-magic humans. Granted that's most of the population but, ya know. Having that power in combat would've been nice too."

He nodded in agreement, "Aye. I was already good with espionage given my take-over's abilities, but this definitely will help in it's own unique way." He hadn't really thought of not having to lift a finger, though, when dealing with certain situations. He was so used to just blasting the shit out of problems that it hadn't even dawned on him that vampirism gifted him with a gentler means of addressing some scenarios. How wonderful.

"Just human blood. And I changed because it was the stipulation given by the one who Sire'd my beloved, it was the only way to save her, so to me, the sacrifice was worth it regardless of the thirst I now I have to deal with daily. But I must say, if that hadn't been the situation, I probably would of preferred to remain human. But this isn't bad. Our guild is big enough and our members dedicated enough that we don't have to needlessly compel those who aren't willing to feed us. So that is.. a comfort, to say the least. I wouldn't be so okay with this if I had to force myself on others in order to survive, after all. That's not my style."
