Kasumi exhaled slightly as she remained in her stance her fist which was glowing with magical energy finally dimmed. She watched as Orion handled the bear that she had kicked his way, who decided to use his sword to slay the beast. With one swift stroke the beast was taken care of, showing that the man wasn't all about magic alone.
Kasumi caught sight of the final bear who, instead of fleeing away from the mage, was imbrue with utter rage that it came charging in straight towards the duo. As Orion did not use his lightning bolt at it immediately, she supposed it was her turn once more to meet the bear's charge. Her boot glow with violet aura as magic began to coalesce into them, hardening it enough that it would be like meeting the sledgehammer head on. As soon as they're within a close distance she would launched herself into the air before sinking her boot straight into the bear's snot, crushing the skull and basically made an imprint of it on their face. The impact brought the final bear's charge to a halt.
"...I'm glad that this one decided to charge at us instead of running away. It would have mean a lot more chasing within this blizzard."

The polar bear was struck down, and up until this point, Orion never noticed how big these creatures were. Their size was definitely something to be admired, and were a testament to their rank as one of the most dangerous creatures in this place. Sadly, Orion and Kasumi were mages who knew what they were doing. A small group didn't really cause too much of a problem.
"Yeah, it was too aggressive...too eager to avenge its friends." Orion could relate, but now was no time to dilly-dally. The ruckus they made would have attracted other more sinister creatures in the area. They needed to act fast.
Orion held out his katana, "I'll skin them if you'd take care of the remains?" His katana was recently sharpened, and was specifically brought for this part of the mission. Orion was not the best skinner, but he at least knew the basics well enough. A mage had to be versatile after all.

Kasumi glanced at the last dead bear as she listened to Orion's words, her mind wondering about the relationship of these creatures. Rather than friends, it was more likely they were family...or at least, close enough to be considered a family. Should her own family get taken down like the creatures her, would she behave like this creature?
"Alright."Kasumi responded in response as he get to work on those beasts. At that moment Kasumi cannot help but wondered just how was she gonna take care of the carcass of 5 giant polar bear they had slain. She didn't have a shovel with her and even she do, it will take quite some time trying to do it by herself. Her own hand would reach out for the bottle to take a sip of it and soon her body felt warmer because of it. She took a double take and look at the alcohol in question. As an idea appeared in her mind, she would then move the bear that had been skinned off of it's fur.
Kasumi would douse the remaining of the bear here and there even as Orion worked on skinning them. She had made sure the man wasn't watching her when she did it, he probably would have felt strongly against it. When the time arrived, she doused the last bear with the remaining alcohol before setting them off on fire. The heat produced from the flame was quite welcomed as she watched the roaring flame burnt up the remains.

Orion finished skinning, and was wiping the blade of his katana, before realizing something. Kasumi was not a fire mage. There was no kindle here. With a yelp, Orion stood up and pointed a finger at the young woman, "You used the alcohol as fuel?!" There was nothing Orion could do but weep slowly at the thought of his booze beign wasted.
With a sigh, Orion collected the pelts and tied them all up. He made to straps, to be carried as some sort of a pack, and shouldered the heavy load onto himself. He was a gentleman, at the very least. A drunk gentleman.
"Let's go then." The mission was complete, the bears were given proper respect, and they were ready to head back. It had been easier than he initially thought it was going to be. Most likely, it was due to the fact that he worked well with his partner. "Glad to partner with you again, Kas." He smiled at the young mage, before starting their trek back towards civilization.

"What else do you want me to use?"Kasumi retorted in response upon his accusation. There was no way she would go around the tundra searching for something flammable while he was skinning. She barely knew this place that she would more than likely end up loss in the middle of nowhere.
Watching Orion picking up the pelts, Kasumi would have offered her hand to help him out but it appeared as if her companion had the whole thing under control. So instead she would dug her hands back into pocket, acting as his eyes in case other beasts had come to find out the source of the burning smell. Soon they were ready to head back together towards town where heart, hot drinks and hopefully snugly blanket awaits. It was a strange feeling, being able to work this well with a man she had never met once before.
"Likewise." she replied briefly although this time her lips betrayed a small smile.
