Orion had been sitting inside the guild hall, just smoking the day away without anything in mind. Today was one of the rare days he had off. A true day off. Not one that's work in the morning, then drinking in the evening. A day off. And he was very bored. So bored, in fact, that he started carving a llama with his katana and a small chunk of wood that he had found lying around. It was coming along really horribly.
"Fuckin' hell..." Orion sighed, taking another drag of his smoke. Time was moving too slowly, and nobody had returned for the day yet. Nobody to drink with. Nobody to play pranks on. Nobody to just talk to. Just him, by himself, alone, and dying slowly inside.
Just then, he heard the door open. A face popped in, and it was someone he didn't know. He had been gone for a bit, so it might be a new member! "Hey! Newbie!" Orion called out, stashing away his katana and waving at the guy to come into the guild hall. "Over here, bud! I believe we haven't been introduced!" New members were great, especially when Orion needed to pass the time.

Cait Shelter was a nice place, at least for the halfling. Many of the people there were intrigued about his life story, what made him tick, and even more so wanted to have him along on missions. Seeing as it was apparently a rarity among the mages to have a celestial spirit mage beastskin. Maybe it was because he was so open to people, or maybe it was because he was just ignorant blissful of the situation he was in. Of course some people might have been skeptical of him especially considering he’s an outsider, he just happened to have the perfect sob story. Though he was far from what some people believed.
January had nothing better to do considering he didn’t really have enough confidence to go Han Solo on a mission by himself. Instead he took up just walking around the grounds, trying to find something to do. Maybe poke at the dirt with a stick? That would be interesting right? No...boring. He could TOTALLY try waking up Medusa, but he felt that was more of a private matter considering if she just turned the people stone that would be nearly forgivable. Maybe the main guild hall would be a good pass time!
Newbie? Well considering he just walked in and there was almost no other people around, and the dark haired man was staring him down. Looking left and right, just to make sure there was no other bodies that could be spoken to, “Me?” he asked blinking as his ear flicked in the man’s. He took long slow strides towards the man, as his keys rattled against his pants. “Oh! Well I’m January!” the almost impervious smile peeled on his face. “ what about you?” he stared at the other expecting an answer. “Thats a big sword!”

"January? Like the month, right?" Orion scratched his chin, making sure he got the name right. The man had a good memory of each member of the guild. Their names always stuck, and their faces having been imprinted into memory. He was not one to forget a comrade, especially one whom he might be fighting side-by-side with.
He nodded to himself, filing the name and face of the new person at the back of his mind. "Orion. Orion Prima, at your service." He smiled, before gesturing towards the seat just in front of his table. He would order a beer for the newbie, but there was no one left in the guild hall, and that would mean he would have to grab it by himself. He was not motivated enough to do that, instead, "You smoke?" Orion took out his pack of smokes and offered it to January.
Without pause, Orion continued, "It's just a rusty katana. Old. Needs to be replaced soon." The sword had seen some battles recently, but desperately needed some attention. Either that, or he'll have to find a better sword to replace it with. Speaking of items and weapons, "Heard keys jingling. You a Celestial Spirit Mage?" He had not met one at all in his years of wandering. "Very rare, those ones. Don't think I've met a single one." At this point, Orion's gaze was hungrier, trying to learn about the new mage and his magic.

“Yes! Like the month! It’s also my birthday month because my parents weren’t really that creative or something,” he peeped up like an annoying puppy. It had only taken him a few seconds to touch the man’s table, staring at him blankly. He couldn’t say he smoked, or really inhaled anything willing besides air. Though he wasn’t going to be tempted by the cigarette stick, which he was shocked still existed in these times, but maybe it was his magic or something? Perhaps it was smoke magic that gave lung complications? “I haven’t ever had some! The smell is different. I’m an animal person so it hurts more compared to other peoples lungs”
It wasn’t like this was a secret, he was a celestial spirit mage, and he couldn’t help but be kind of proud. Even more so this person seemed to understand that his keys were on the rarer side. To be honest he was shocked that someone knew what the rusted keys were to some degree. “You know what my keys are?” he asked looking a bit confused but pulled them up and held them in his hand, open palm. The three keys were dingy and old with rust covering every inch of them, almost to the point of being deteriorated, but they still looked like they could take a few hits.
“This is my fox key, and then there’s my usurper key, and the last one I can’t use for some reason….I don’t get it that she won’t come out and talk to me.” he set down the keys obviously having blind faith that they wouldn’t be snatched. That being said the fox key shook on the table, with the copper magic symbols appears appearing, and Daji appearing up behind the man with her chest pressed against the back of his head, “Awwww a handsome man wants to know about the keys. You can touch my key at any time~~” she purred making Janaury huff, “Daji!” he exclaimed.

"Oh?" Orion exclaimed, not considering the fact that the man in front of him had animal features. He had heard that some animalistic qualities are present with individuals who are considered demi-humans. Ceshire was one of them, with her enhanced sight in the dark. It was an interesting trait, and very much useful, "Then nothing for you." Orion kept the cigarette pack once again.
The talk went toward keys, and Orion only nodded. One does not go through the different villages and towns and not learn about the different magicks around the world. Celestial Spirit Mages are much rarer due to the fact that one needed to have keys to become one. Suffice to say there are not many keys out there in the world. So they can be pretty rare, and Platinum ones, apparently are the most rare of them all.
"Yeah, Celestial Spirit Mages are rare, but hey, you're here!" Orion grinned, happy to see one of the type within the guild. As they continued to talk, a spirit was summoned and was directly behind him. Chest pressed-up against his back, Orion could not help but laugh out loud, "Ho ho! You have such a sexy spirit here, newbie. how can you sleep peacefully at night with such a beauty just hanging on your keychain!" Orion turned towards the spirit in question, who looked like a fox-lady, "So, what are your specialties? Aside from being cute, of course!" Orion laughed again at his own flirtatious gesture, harmless, but still fun. Especially when he had been bored to death just a few minutes prior being left alone in the guild hall.

Daji had let her fingers slide against the strangers chest, as if to try and tempt him with her womanly charms. The nine tails trickled down the mans back as January huffed at her. “He sleeps peacefully because he knows we’re watching him, and I can help you sleep soundly at night boy,” the fox grinned allowing her heels to click on the floor. “I don’t know if we’re rare to be honest. Well maybe now but not in the past! You just gotta be good at making friends. Except my keys want warshippers or something. I don’t know I tend not to listen about their greediness.”
The wolfman only tilted his head more, “Also she might rip off your private parts, so I don’t recommend sleeping with her. In life she was a notorious torturer. But you might have fun,” he laughed as Daji moved to bonk Jan on the head, “Stupid boy don’t go telling people misconceptions.” she lectured, “Last time I checked I keep you alive SO I demand Respect!” she stomped her foot like a child.
“What about you?! What’s your magic?” the wolfman’s eyes lit up, “Is it your sword?! That would be cool, like ZIP ZAP PZZT” he pretended to be shocked by lightning only to have Daji roll her eyes into the back of her skull, “Stupid boy,”

"HAHAHA!" Orion laughed out loud, his face turning slightly red at not being able to breath, "You're definitely a funny one." The Celestial Spirit was something else, and Orion just couldn't help but appreciate her sense of humour. If Orion ever became an owner of a key, he'd definitely want one that had the same personality as this Da Ji.
Then the topic of his magic came up. "Ah, well you're not far off." Orion held his hand out and channeled his lightning. Black, and hungry, Orion's lightning lashed out, but the god slayer controlled it well. "Lightning is my element, but as for the type..." Orion trailed off, a smirk coming onto his face.
He grabbed his katana, and swung it around, still sheathed. "How about it? I'd like to test our your magic, and i'll show you mine in action." He was bored anyways, and this way, he'd be able to not only test the new person out, and at the same time, he'd be able to alleviate the boredom that has been plaguing him today. "We have a training ground in the back, if you're willing to show me what you're made off." it was a challenge, and Orion hoped the new member proved to be willing to rise up. Cait Shelter members needed to have some spunk, after all.

January thought to himself. He didn’t think Daji was that funny, but maybe because he didn’t understand her sexual woes. What he could say was that she was the closest ally he had, and she was always willing to protect him, and give him the push he needed to be a bit more assertive in social situations. While set gave him confidence in battle, Daji was one that likes to play mind games and tease. Though she was mainly harmless outside of a battle these days, she didn’t want to be that monster anymore. “Oh I’m funny” she stuck up her nose almost displeased with the man.
While she was sitting there sticking up her nose like a prissy child, January was admiring the black lightning that tangoed through the air. “OH that’s sooooo cooooooll” he cheered out and chuckled. The women gave the man a dirty look, “Well it looks like our new friend specials in a magic I haven’t seen in a very long time,” though she kept her mouth she as she was now skeptic of the man's intentions, even if he may be an ally. Maybe it was her disposition as a god making her have pure distaste for Orion at this moment. “So like, what’s so special about it? Is it extra zappy or just like cold zappy?”
The wide eyed beastskin gave an innocent smile, “Oh that’d be fun! I haven’t really trained with anyone! Though I’m not very big, I’m like skinny so, thicc vs skinny you might flatten me,” he huffed but allowed his tail to wag. “Don’t worry, big men don’t last long,” she smacked the boy’s head, “Owww….okay, but I wanna see it! Besides, it looks like fun! For once I don’t have to worry about getting killed!” he laughed wholeheartedly. “so Orion! Where do we go? Is it like way back there! I’m worried about smashing some stuff”

"You guys are too fun!" Orion couldn't stop himself from laughing out loud once again. The new member and his spirit were a great addition to the guild. Their humour would mix well with the guild itself, and having a Celestial Mage was always something, especially since the type had become quite rare these days. Keys were not easy to come by, especially Platinum ones.
"Come come! Follow me!" Orion stood up and grabbed his katana. Placing it on his hip, he led the way out and towards the training grounds beside the guild. It was empty, as per usual. Most of the mages did not bother using it at all, and the last time he was here, he had faced his own guild master. "And my magic...well, you'll just have to wait until we get going to find out!"
As he took his position, Orion looked towards the Celestial Mage. "Get ready. And to respond to your comment, I last very long." He smirked, before opening his arms out wide, "Now, I'll let you have the first shot for free! Show me what makes you such a good candidate for Cait Shelter, Celestial Mage!" Orion needed to gauge this person, his potential, and his current power level. Then, and only then, will he showcase his own magic.

Well it was time to wander outside with the well… giant man? He couldn’t help but take in the mans size, the smell he exhumed, which was the odour of cigarettes that was more like smog. The sound that the tattered blade made when rested against his waist. Daji wasn’t far behind the wolfman, often keeping in an on that, devilish man. “That’s not fair! I told you mine!” January whined to the other man. Even though it seemed to fall on deaf ears, or maybe the man cared to keep to himself and never reveal anything.
As they walked outside the wolf sniffed, allowing his tail to wag as the fresh air rolled into his nostrils. Daji gave a loud hmph, in response to the man, “Okay! Well I guess we’ll try that then!” he wasn’t one to pass up an opportunity. Daji stood in front of him, giving a small smirk, though she wasn’t going to just start throwing January’s magical power around, but hell it was all fair love in war right? Curling up she allowed her long blade talons extract, and her body turned into a quick streak of orange, almost like a speedy fox, the blurr appearing behind the man, “Trickter Spirit” she quickly went to descend her claws with great force.

Orion was hit by the Celestial Spirit. Claws of some kind had been used to attack the god slayer, and he took the damage head on. It hurt. The claws dug into his skin, and he was forced to jump back or else suffer more damage. He wanted to test the new mage, but he seemed to be relying on his Spirit a lot.
"Dangerous claws you got there," Orion commented, "come one then, show me how dangerous they can be!" The god slayer was ready once again. The damage was good, but it was not good enough. He wanted to see what else this new member can do.
"I'm made of tougher stuff." He paused, before grinning, "I promise to show you my power if you can land one more hit on me!" There, that might do the trick. Orion's magic was very obscure in nature, so it was only fair that people can get curious. "I promise you it's worth trying to hit me once more!" Tougher than nails, that was what each member of Cait Shelter needed to be. He wanted January to show some more of his own power.

“Taunting me will get you nowhere sweetheart,” Daji snuffed the man, slowly walking towards the man, flicking the small amount of blood off her claws. “Such filth,” she responded as January stared the man down, but his smile seemed to lack any serious fighting nature. “Go Daji,” he jumped grinning. “Daji’s claws are quite dangerous, I’m surprised you’re not bleeding out already,” the wolf responded as the fox knelt down and began her pounce at the man.
Flying at him like a bat out of hell, her blades slashing violently as if they were a tempest. Each slash violently going for an attack, but more so for nothing. It seemed that the fox had more intentions than she let on. Anyone would realize that these flurries of attacks, were meant to be clashed with, purposely missing. Her eyes turned to January who seemed to be enjoying himself too much. “Give a command,” she retorted to the wolf making his spine shiver like a cat, “Ohh uuuhhh,” he thought to himself for a moment, “cook em!” he cheekily cheered.
The fox spirit gave a wide smile, slashing her claws together lighting them on fire before reaching one hand behind his back, obviously trying to avoid killing him because this was training. She was going to slash a large appendage

Dodge. Orion saw the attack coming, and had the opportunity to dodge it, but was still burned in the process. It seems as though the heat was hot enough to get at his skin, and he can at least praise the Celestial Spirit for having that strong of a command on the element. With a grin, Orion tried to dust it off.
"Hurts," he commented, "but you still have not hit me directly. So..." Orion held out his hands and smirked, "No magic for you yet! But I will compliment you though. Both Mage and Spirit work well, if not a bit awkwardly." They have to have better team dynamics to make their combo deadlier. A Celestial Mage should never stand-by and watch while their spirit did all the work.
"Come on then! One more!" Orion taunted, "Show me what makes a Celestial Mage so special!" Teamwork. That was the key, but it seems to be a bit lost for this new recruit. It will be a learning lesson.

Dodged once again. Orion sighed as he watched the master and his spirit incongruent between themselves. They knew each other very well. They seemed to have a bond that transcends master and spirit. But that was not enough. The problem lay in the fact that January seemed to hesitate a lot, and Da Ji had to prod him to do anything.
"One more!" Orion shouted, "Give it more of your power, buddy!"
Orion opened his arms and made his torso a target, "Come on then. Spirit! Show me why your master deserves to be a part of the guild!" They needed to work together, or the world out there will swallow them whole. Orion will not be losing any guild mates, not anymore.
