'till chapter three [social/closed]

Kasumi walked past the shelves, her gloved finger traced the books' spines, her lips moving slightly to read the title. It was of no surprise that the genre one can find her is the mystery section as she kept her eyes peeled for names of famous authors.

Upon finding a particular novel that grabbed her attention, she began to pull the book out only to hear a ripping sound. The sound caught her by surprised and she found herself letting go of the book immediately, before she realized that the sound didn't come from the book she had just grabbed. This was followed by the swearing which immediately grabbed her attention. The sight that followed make her forgot about the book she dropped immediately.

"Sir...what are you doing?"

She asked, her brows slightly raised as she place one hand on her hip. The librarian would definitely not be pleased upon seeing the book Orion was holding.

Kasumi took a moment to read the man's defeated expression before she gave a slight nod. It didn't look like the destruction of the book seem to be intentional and at least he was willing to pay for it. Her expression returning to a more neutral one, she listened to his plea. The tone she used next betray her bemusement.

"Dew Decimillion system? Don't you mean Dewey Decimal?" she paused slightly to wait for his answer. Regardless if he didn't, she would turn around to head for the right section.

"In the library, they classified each books according to the disciplines. For magic and thaumaturgy, you should try checking under 500 or 600 for your needs." she explained. Soon her feet slowed down to a stop in front a particular shelve. Beckoning him to come close, she pulled a couple of books from the shelves before passing it to him.

"Here. I doubt they would offer much in learning one but it should be sufficient if you need them for academic studies."

Mystery?

Her interest piqued, she raised her eyebrows slightly at the word. The man who picked up the book didn't look to her to be of scholarly type. She deduced that more than likely he encounter a lost magic during his quest and now seek the library for answer. She had never seen his face before in the guild...does that mean he come from distant lands simply to look into this lost magic?
Not to mention that he had been through multiple libraries before this one.

"I can understand that feeling. Can you tell me more about the lost magic you are researching on?" she asked, pulling the chair next to him before sitting down. It was not everyday one get to hear about lost magic even in passing due to it's rarity and she was keen
to find out more.

Slayers magic. A magic known for it's destructive properties strong enough to slay whatever being magic was meant to. At least according to the books. She had learn about them before though she did not have the privelege of witnessing one or using them herself. The phrase had come up in some of the books she read but she was no more wiser on the subject than he would be.

"It's Dewey Decimal system."Kasumi patiently corrected him, making sure he was looking at her directly as she pronounced each words. "And my knowledge was limited to the books as I do not have any experience nor do I possess such impressive magic."

That he was looking into such subject made her slightly concerned. She did not like the idea of being clueless of a living weapon of mass destruction near her without her knowing.

"I believe the reason behind why there was very little reliable information on them lies on their destructive nature. Someone with that level of power would be unlikely to cooperate with erudites in researching their magic."she continued.

"Did you meet one recently or something?"

Kasumi had a feeling that the gentleman in front of her would forget about this system...but she was not obligated to help him further. That would be left to any poor librarian assistant who was unfortunate enough to explain it to him. The compliment caught her by surprise however and she nodded slightly in response.

"Perhaps the answer to that lies on the being they were assigned to slay to. Gods, demons or dragons...they're not exactly beings that walk around us on a daily basis. At least not today. Should the creatures mentioned rampage and terrorize the common populace and one emerged to deliver judgement on these creatures with their brand of slayer magic, they would be consider a folk hero and of course treated in a special manner." the woman said as she offered her thought of the matter.

It didn't escape her notice that the mage before her took a little bit of time to reply to her answer. Or that they haven't exchange their
names with each other yet. Further probings of such question would only cause him to be more defensive, she presumed.

"The name's Kasumi Ito. May I know yours?"she asked.

Now the conversation took a turn for the interesting. She was never the religious or spiritual type, preferring to work her own miracles rather than leaving them to the whims of some divine powers. She took a moment to consider on how best to answer such question when the mage offered his hand to which she take and shook.

"The pleasure is mine as well, Mr Prima."

The conversation then drifted towards the calamity and whether or not these beings existed back then. Her eyes glance at the surrounding as she listened, half wishing that she was in a cafe instead of a library. Tea would have helped her collect her thoughts easier as she mull over the question posed upon her.

"This just speculation at this point but I'm pretty sure beings called God, Demon and even Dragons existed since these magic to slay them existed. Whether or not they are actually those beings in mythology is a matter of debate. Personally I think they're just wizards or witches with a lot of power on their hands compared to the beings around them, forming a cult of personality for those who would worship them."

Now that's a piece of information that she had not known before. Sure she had seen fire eater and the like but these are more so performers they do not exactly eat fire to live. Being able to regenerate simply by eating these elements sound quite fascinating.

"I wasn't aware of that. If their magic goes beyond simply producing the element to being able to consume them to rejuvenate themselves,then it sound to me that rather than closeness they may be the personification of elements themselves. As the world is made of different elements, they may act as a sentient force of nature to balance things"

The more they proceed through the conversation, the more she was certain that this man had something to do with the slayer magic if not the owner of one such magic themselves. These question seem to be directed to the purpose of such magic after all.

"So god, demon or dragon?" she asked in a casual manner. She wasn't quite sure if she can pull it off but she may be able to trick him into revealing the nature of slayer magic and if he possess one.
