His strides were even paced and casual. There appeared to be nothing wrong as Topaz walked through an area of woodland that, like the majority, appeared to have swallowed what civilization left in their wake whole. His ears twitched with various soundings spilling out from the encompassing trees. He found another who was within the same woods. They were seeking to complete the same task. So, that was exactly what Topaz was hoping to achieve at that moment.
He started to quicken his pace. The soundings grew louder, so he started to run. Did fear drive him forward in a panic? No, he knew if he continued, his prey would mistake the two for its prey and reveal itself.
There was a smile that crept itself onto his face. Topaz could not help but let it slip into being.
