MISSION NAME: Herbal Remedies
CLIENT: Sickly Village
CHARACTERS: Haruhi Kyouri + one other
MISSION BRIEFING: "Please.. Our village is suffering. A disease has struck our citizens. It does not distinguish, our people suffer from it equally whether they are old or young, healthy or sickly. We have tried when medicine we had on reserve but this outbreak only gets worse. We will pay a merchant to bring more expensive medicine here, but he will need to be looked out for. Should he be attacked and that medicine be lost, we do not know what we will do. Please.. Save us!"
The mission is offered not by a sheet of paper, but a young girl no older than 12 or 13 years old. Compared to the villagers she describes, she appears somewhat healthy. But already it appears she has a cough. In addition to protecting the merchant it will be necessary to keep an eye on the village girl.

[attr="class","kcontent"]Dacite Village. It is a rural region yielding much farmland and roll hillsides. It is not the place one goes searching for modern technologies. And neither is it the place to seek magical amenities. A tight-knit community, it thrives by relying on the hardwork of its people. What the town offers, it offers to those working the hardest.
Haruhi Kyouri has not always lived in a community such as this. Her day to day life was not always one where she witnessed how hard these people worked to live and thrive. Born far from the village, when she first witnessed its people and the work they did she was taken by surprise. It was when she was convinced to join the Southern Wolves that she first crossed this small region, and it was then that she came to enjoy the pleasant and almost peaceful air that it provided.
Though there was much to be wanting in the region. Though the citizens would expect travelers to aid in their work with minimal compensation. She could understand that they worked hard for all that they had, and could not bring herself to disagree with them.
That is why during the day she would find herself traveling through the village. Though she would not actively speak to those she passed, she was eager to help anyone that called her over. Tending land, baking bread, taking over the cash register of a small shop, these were common tasks that took her time from sunrise to sunset.
From time to time the jobs requested of her would be more difficult than any of that though. Often outsiders would come to the village seeking help for this or that job. And it was not uncommon for the people of the village to turn them away, if their requests would threaten the village’s livelihood.
Today was a situation like that. As Ruhi made her way through the town she found herself pausing at a peculiar and unexpected sight. Near the town’s front gates there was a large cart that she had not seen before. On its back rested numerous canisters of an unknown agent. At its front was an older man, likely in his fifties or sixties. Before him were two horses that seemed to be in their prime. While Ruhi had not seem them before, she had seen many like them, and could have cast them off as another merchant passing through.
That was until a young girl appeared from behind the cart. Long brown hair and a red dress were what Ruhi saw first. The hair appeared to be tied on one side. Looking closely, it appeared that the girl must have run through thick branches or bushes pulling at her hair and scalp and giving her a wild appearance. Her dress did not seem any better, covered in many scrapes and holes of unknown origin. This girl that seemed battered by the elements was rushing about the cart and approaching anyone that would pass. Ruhi could not be sure what she was telling the people, but she knew that whatever it was, the townsfolk had no interest in.
Ruhi could not stand and watch for long. Eventually she heaved a deep breath. She closed her eyes and focused. At the same time there was a pounding in her chest that she tried to calm, that she attempted to get under control. Once she was confident she had, she stepped closer towards the girl and the cart.
The interaction that took place next was brief. The young girl cried as she explained the fate that her village was suffering. That she needed people to help her and the merchant deliver medicine to her village. That they would pay any price just to save their people. On and on she went, snot and tears covering her face. And while she felt she had to explain herself and say all that she did, what she did not realize was Ruhi already counting herself in before the girl had said a word.
Minutes later, and Ruhi could be found seated on the back of the cart with her legs off the side. Not a public speaker herself, she’d allow the girl to recruit any others she saw fit. For now her eyes were focused downward on a katana she was now cleaning and sharpening. Should anyone have approached at that moment they would have to draw her away from the maintenance of her weapon.
