The only satisfactory impact was the one where no defence was erected. The path it drew from one target to the next found itself winding and clumsy. It had to right its path each time. Once, a phantasmal force unseen pushed it away and the next sent it, ostensibly drunkenly, carving a path to the final target. Turn much like the solitary wheel of a car, various pieces of itself and limbs tore itself from the bodies tethering them. Gravity surpassed the durability of the stricken parts. The dull, wet pitter-patter of them colliding with the ground ensued - one unrhythmic thump after another.

Then came a covering over the flesh - a transfiguration of the flesh. Like a benighted carapace, the shell-like, sable hide encompassed all the decaying skin the eye was able to catch sight of. From some strange power, it was able to spin in place. Winds began to whirl around it and strengthened their potency all the while. Debris was torn free from their surroundings and eventually, a makeshift tornado reached skyward from the gyrating bundle of cadavers.

Finding their way onto a sturdy pair of feet proved impossible. Their hands reached out and felt about their surroundings, clawing at the ground in apparent frustration. The intensity of their struggles grew. The tips of their fingers were sanded away, leaving streaks of blood in their wakes. The bones in the fingers broke, found flesh as they felt the backs of the other zombies lying adjacent.

Their bodies opened for the limbs prodding them. Many found themselves partially absorbed, unable to free themselves from their undead brethren. The more they struggled, the more they fought against it, the stronger the pull. Their decaying faces were pressing against the backside of another, legs disappearing into hollowed bellies. It was not long before a limb-spangled sphere of undead bodies groaned into being and immediately began to roll.

It attempted to not only roll into one of the parties present but would either miss its mark or impact one and then proceed to move onto the next with a surprising amount of speed.
