Careless as to who was all in attendence, Sal's emerald orbs fell to the shots before him. He'd take his first one with practiced ease, his face remaining frozen with a scowl despite the intense taste of the CV. Meanwhile several around him had visages twisted up with disgust, and one was already gagging.

"Are ye guys and gaaaaals ready!? Circle round da table!!"
The event coordinator had set up a long table of twenty or so feet, on it were hundreds of shots of Chimera Venom, all lined up and ready to go. Sal took his place at the center of the table while others began circling it, ready for the contest to begin.

Battle of Tolerance [Mission/Closed]

MISSION NAME: Battle of Tolerance CLIENT: Local Entertainment Stall for Gabbro Festival CHARACTERS: Mercy Godfrey & Mint Everett-Bailey MISSION BRIEFING: The Gabbro Festival is holding one of it's most renowned events: a Drinking Contest! Where participants must last through as much shots of 'Chimera Venom' [a.k.a everclear] that they can. Winner gets 750$! Good luck folks! Try not to die of alcohol poisoning!
--
It was too good to be true, right? A drinking contest, for seven hundred and fifty jewels? The crowd that had gathered was quite large, but, he was sure he could drink any number of them under the table. Even if this Chimera Venom shit was to be their collective choice of beverage, he was sure his fairy constitution would give him the boon needed to win.

Well, at least it had distracted some of them -- but that wasn't enough -- not with the damage and the persistence the rest of the horde displayed, anyways.
"Tch." How fucking annoying.
-- Or not..
Salvatore's generally stoic or aggravated visage broke into something it typically was never greeted with: surprise. Temporarily his eyes widened and his jaw dropped every so slightly, as the woman howled and powered up. He could practically feel her wild energy blast through him himself, and it was stronger than anything he had ever felt. Stronger than his own guild master's power, even.
What in the actual fuck? Where is she from? Hell?
And though she managed to leave a line of shredded decay in her wake, some of the zombies still circled beyond her and straight for him. He attempted to fly upward in response, but one had grabbed hold of his ankle and pulled - it's bony fingers digging into the flesh of his leg.
He'd attempt to blast it with fairy dust, but felt startled overall - with the woman's amazing display of power and the distraction it had caused, he hadn't really been prepared to deal with the zombie's being as fast as they were.

"Salvy!!"
Salvatore felt a cloud of unease abruptly compound around him. Sovereign himself was here? The fairy's expression returned to it's typical scowl when the man bounded over and sent a clone to wrap around his backside. He could actually feel his left eye twitching at the contact, his scowl turning deadpan when more clones began to circle him, all excited and insane.
Of all the guilds in the world, he had somehow ended up with this eccentric piece of a work as his Guild Master. But money was money, and he wasn't idiotic enough to combat the more powerful mage's affections.
Salvatore simply and sourly nodded, a response to both the flight and conversation related inquiries.
He'd let the GM take over then -- not that he had any real choice in the matter -- and would merely remain perched atop the blacksmith's tiny building as the many Sovereign's surrounded the befuddled smithy.
"I-uh-oh." The man was extremely tense as the group of clones "peered" in on him in unison, but he seemed to be coherent enough to at least listen to the words being spoke to him. "Yes-the spirit is-uh-in our temple just north of the village."
Sal, never one to waste unnecessary time when on the job, gave a short-breathed "Thanks," before he simply began to fly off toward the north end of the village - but he bothered keeping low enough to keep Sovereign in range. In fact, he was so "polite" he didn't even speed off, but kept a slow enough pace to where the walking man wouldn't have to run in turn.
He half wanted to ask why Sovereign himself would come participate in such a mission, but he felt like that would be more effort than it was worth. Especially given how high-powered Sov's energy level seemed to be right now.

MISSION NAME: Banish the Banshee CLIENT: Guild Board CHARACTERS: Sovereign Pale & Mint Everett-Bailey MISSION BRIEFING: Recently a spirit of some form has taken shape near a village, but rather than being fearful of the beast, the villagers are in fact worshiping it and claiming it brings them good fortune. Whatever the case, certain spirits just do not belong in this world and must be banished.
--
Slate Town was, more or less, off the map for most due to the lack of accessible ways to travel to it. The occupants kept to themselves, surviving off their own merits without relying on trade among other settlements. Salvatore had been enlisted by the guild master himself to investigate it and the rumors surrounding a ghost -- or spirit -- having recently taken root there and garnering the Slateian's trust enough to be worshiped.
It must be a smart ass spirit.
The flight there had been long but enjoyable; being in the skies with nothing but miles and miles of natural terrain as a visual was one of the only things he really enjoyed about existence. In fact, despite the ache in his wings, he felt disappointment when the poor village came into view - it meant his relaxation time was over and that he'd have to deal with more idiots of mankind.
He'd land atop one of the only truly sturdy structures there, made entirely of tone bricks, and crouched down to be speak to a man hammering on an anvil just outside of it. The structure was small, so the man was certainly within earshot.
"Yo. I hear ya'll have a God around these parts. Mind telling me where?"
Even though he tried, his expression failed to be amiable, but at least it wasn't an outright scowl.
Sovereign Pale
I'mma pretend he thought was supposed to this alone haha, cause I wasn't sure how Sov generally travels >_> Hope that's okay. (Post 1)

With the female mounted, Salvatore wasted no time in jolting off, his wings carrying him through the skies at an intense speed while his fairy-dust constructed carpet followed in hot pursuit. He hadn't bothered to warn her of the rapid pace he had intended to take, but, hopefully her body would react in such a way that she'd hold on without being thrown off.
In no time the described the cabin was in view and he'd decline their acceleration gradually until they were on ground level again, landing along the border of the clearing which encompassed the cabin and it's land. Like the man had said, "zombies" were indeed crowded at his front door, mindlessly bumping into it again and again.
His eyes narrowed, apparently bugged by the whole situation.
He directed his emerald gaze toward some of the cabin windows, where he'd spot a young girl through the drapes, huddled up on a couch with terror on her face - but she was keeping quiet, from the sound of it.
Instinctively he'd abruptly clap his hands together, trying to draw the undead attention toward them rather than on the house.

Rotten Fruit [Event]
Sept 19, 2019 6:21:47 GMT
Four two-foot long wings, liken to the texture and shape of a dragonfly's, were carrying a blonde across the sky. They shimmered under the sunlight despite the swiftness in which they fluttered, a specific prettiness that he'd often grumbled over when it was pointed out to him.
He'd been returning from a mission in the mountains when he heard the eruption of screams. "Tch." There was only one place they could've been coming from. Reluctantly he'd quickly change course, heading northeast toward the uproar. The speed of his rapid flight brought him above Andesite in no time. His attention shifting below, where there were villagers scrambling for shelter and.. other people chasing them?
Once he was low enough he'd notice that those "other people" weren't quite alive. More undead? He'd recently encountered them at Port Boulder - but it was surprising to see them elsewhere. He had thought their arrival at Port Boulder had just been some one time malicious magic, but this sight definitely proved his assumption wrong.
Along the inner border of the town he'd note a celestial spirit's magic flash, but given the amount of undead he'd choose to stay and help.

Salvatore felt a growl caught in the back of his throat when someone decided to invite themselves. He'd give her a once over while the father thanked her, tears in his frantic eyes. She didn't appear to be anything special on the outside, but for someone to blatantly assist help after hearing about "zombies" he'd assume she too were a mage. "I fucking suppose so. Flying is faster, hop on."
The fairy hovered still, utterly motionless save for the dragonfly like wings fluttering swiftly behind him. Nonetheless, without so much as a gesture to summon it, a shimmering green appeared, a dust that glittered and danced. The dust would come together and shapeshift, creating a magical "carpet" for her to hop onto.
"Don't worry, you're not my first passenger. It'll hold your weight. And we'll get there a hell of a lot quicker than running through the forest would."
His words echo'd with a certain vacancy, evidently disinterested with having had to speak at all.

MISSION NAME: Child In Need [Event Related] CLIENT: NPC request, Adam McLear CHARACTERS: Kasumi Ito & Mint Everett-Bailey || Closed MISSION BRIEFING: Adam McLear has a home in the forest bordering Port Boulder. Zombies found their way to it while he was outside chopping wood. They spotted his daughter first and they went after her, but she ran into their humble cabin and has been trapped ever since, as they zombies can hear her crying through the door. Adam ran to Port Boulder to find someone to help him and the first person he laid eyes on that he thought might have magic was a man with wings. "Zombies?"
"Yes! They've stacked up at my home's door in the forest, my daughter is trapped! Please, please save her!"
Salvatore wondered if this was some odd joke. But given the man's terrified expression and the desperation in his voice, he wasn't so sure that it was. With an audible tch he'd shrug, "Fine. Where is it?"
"It's-It's north of here! You should be able to see it from the sky.. cause.. you have wings.. you can fly.. right? Please.. please save her."
"Whatever."
Despite the harshness of his tone and the irritated narrow of the blonde's eye, Salvatore roused his wings from their resting state and began to hover. "Just stay here and out of my way while I deal with it. I'll bring her back to you."
He'd never seen a "zombie," but had certainly heard of it in various lores. Hell, supposedly back before the calamity there had been entire stories about them. He hoped that those tales were wrong - but if not, he figured his best bet was to aim for the head.

Andesite Village was one of the only settlements Salvatore actually enjoyed visiting, aside from Rhyolite anyways. The people within it were calm, evidently having absorbed the peacefulness of their natural surroundings. Such mentalities were better than those he found in Gabbro - tolerable, even. So he had found himself personally delivering meat to the village every week or so, trading it for their agricultural produce to assist in sustaining his own vegan diet. It was a win win; the Andesite people lacked in fighters and had difficulty in obtaining meat themselves, meanwhile Gabbro didn't have the farmlands capable of growing and maintaining the variety Andesite could.
He'd already traded with several vendors by time the sun rode high, indicating it was afternoon already. He had a wagon rattling behind him, full of various fruits, vegetables and grains. The thought of making a feast later made his mouth water..
A scream erupted in the distance, which quickly domino'd into more exclamations of horror. Had a beast attacked? Tch. Grunting, he'd manifest a hand made of glimmering green fairy dust to wrap around his wagon as his wings roused from their resting state and took him to the sky. He'd follow the sound of the screams, wings fluttering with the speeds of a hummingbird, while his wagon of produce flew behind him, contained and brought along via his magic-make.
