The sword cut through the surface of his skin, the red magic basically screaming with joy as it pulsated and brightened upon coming into contact with blood. It was sucked from him, not much, but enough to make a difference. It moved quickly, spreading across the sword through precise patterns in the grooves and intricate design of the ancient artefact. Bonnie jumped back after it made contact, and her own wounds began to close up thanks to the sword. "It's still from the sword though, so that's okay right?" She smiled, fluttering her eyelashes at him. But her sweet smile quickly melted into worry as he lifted both arms, the katana raised high in the air as he brought it slicing down. Panicking, she would hurriedly lift her blade in hopes of defending herself. But her footing was terrible, and injuries painful. The sword did nothing to protect her, and Orion's sheer force drove her to the ground as the force of blades hitting would kick up the dust in the gym. The katana sunk into her arm as she winced at the pain, having to quickly kick back and push herself up from the floor. To think he wasn't using spells either, he really was one of the guilds strongest members. With her blade glowing once more, she'd make a desperate attempt to deal damage and heal herself at the same time. HP: 61/100 | MP: 70/100 ATK: 26 DEF: 0 AC: 10 HEAL: 00 STAM: 5 Level: 01

A miss, she ended up overextending as Orion ducked out the way and she stumbled forwards. It really had been a while since she had engaged in a sword fight, or any fight in fact. Gritting her teeth, she prepared herself for the next attack. Wide open, Bonnie was hit with another attack. It cut across her back and she let out another yelp from the pain. Though this time, would plant her foot down firmly and pivot with a backslash of the same attack. The old blade glowing red as it cut through the air, hoping to strike down across his chest. The way she stood there with her sword was awkward and clumsy, she wasn't even holding it remotely how she should have been, and instead was almost hugging it. Her knees were bent inwards, and she stood there in shock as Orion suddenly came running over to her. He wasted no time, and all she could do was let out a yelp as the blade slashed across her arm. She stumbled back, her eyes watering as she looked down to see blood. "Ow!" She cried out, snivelling at the pain. "Th- That hurt."In retaliation, she would suddenly assume a much more offensive stance. The once timid and clumsy woman was now holding the sword properly, with a firm grip and sharp eyes. With a quick lunge forwards, the ancient blade would glow red as she aimed to skewer him through the shoulder. HP: 78/100 | MP: 90/100 ATK: 26 DEF: 0 AC: 10 HEAL: 00 STAM: 5 Level: 01

This fruit was not tasty, not at all. She didn't understand why people ate it, did she just get the bad slice of the batch? Either way, she eventually managed to swallow it, and her stomach was beginning to rumble in protest. "Ghost stories!" Bonnie screamed suddenly, her eyes lighting up as she slammed her hands excitedly on a table and jumped up like a child. "Yes, I know some!"She ran over to where everyone was and sat down on the floor by the coffee table. "I haven't told one in a while, so I might be a bit rusty." She'd smile sweetly, clearing her throat before taking a much more serious expression. This might be a long one. "There used to be a young girl, Anna, seven, who was the daughter of a carpenter and a seamstress. They had this gorgeous wooden house by the river, and she'd always play down there when she got the chance.
One day, when she was playing, she spotted a woman swimming under the bridge. It was too far to get a good look at her, but Anna would always tell her parents each time. But they saw nothing, it was just an imaginary, something to keep Anna from going bored. It happened for a week, each time, the woman would get closer and closer, her face was covered by her long dark hair but she could always make out the eyes. Grey and glinting in the light, and always staring at Anna. Always.
One day though, she wasn't there. She waited all day to see if the woman would come down, but Anna saw nothing. Not even the muddy footprints leading up to her house, across the floorboards, up the stairs, towards her bedroom, tucked in the corner.
It was night, and the distinctive sound of a rocking horse could be heard throughout the whole house. It was loud and aggressive, rocking so far each time it could have almost toppled over. But Anna was not on it. She was in bed, sheets held up tight to her face as she watched someone play on her rocking horse. In the dark corner of the room, a large figure sat there hunched over it, not saying anything, just staring at her with two silver eyes. It was the woman from the river, rocking back and forth and staring at Anna as she did so."Bonnie took a deep breath, looking around the room to see a few other members listening in. "'Anna!'" She shouted, slamming the table as she did so. "Her mum swung open the door, and the toy horse abruptly stopped rocking. 'It's too late to be playing with your toys.' She said, oblivious to the muddy woman in the room.
'It's not me. It's the lady from the river.' Anna held a finger up, pointing at the corner of the room. Yet when her mum looked, she saw nothing.
'There's nothing there, sweetheart.' She sighed, walking over to the bed and sitting behind the girl.
But there was something, Anna was staring at her, and the woman was staring back. Silently watching beneath her brown and knotted hair. If she listened close enough, she could hear her breathing, a shallow and raspy noise.
Anna's mum was still sat there, hushing her as Anna began to cry silently. She stroked her head, running her fingers through the girls hair. 'There, there. She isn't real. Just try and go to sleep.'
Anna looked up to her mum, her crying stopped when she saw her kind eyes and gentle smile. Her golden hair hanging in front of her face ever so slightly as she kissed Anna on the forehead. Smiling, the young girl turned around again and looked across the room, the woman on the horse had stopped staring at her, but there was something odd. She had slumped over the rocking horse, her head hanging down to the ground and her hands also laying there. It was like she was asleep, but she looked different too.
She wasn't as muddy, and her hair? Golden, not brown like before."Bonnie then started to make strange breathing noises, a weird croak and groan as she dug her nails into the table slightly. "'It's cold' Anna thought, her clothes suddenly felt damp. Her body tensed up, she could hardly move as fear crept through her bones. Her breathing got quicker, and she wanted to scream at the realisation of who the woman was on her rocking horse.
Too scared to turn her head, she glanced down to her shoulder, a drop of mud landing on her. Then another, then another. She heard a raspy breath close to her ear, so close she could feel the warmth of it on her bare skin.
'M- Mummy?'"Bonnie would wait a second, leaning forwards and looking around at everyone, making eye contact with people as she built up the suspense. And then, Bonnie screamed. As loud as she could, in the hopes it would scare everyone shitless. Quince Haven II Notorious B.I.G. Orion Prima cant believe i just wrote a novel

She was sad they couldn't fight in the guild, it would have meant she didn't have to walk further to get to the other building. "Shame." She grumbled, carelessly swaying her sword about like it was a stick she picked up off the ground. Bonnie and Orion made it to the other building, a small training ground with a big enough clearing for a sword fight. A few other guild members had come to watch too, knowing of Orion's strength and Bonnie's lack of it. It would be an easy match, but still, surprises do happen. "Rules? We just hit each other until one can't move right?" Bonnie spoke with an airy tone in her voice, her eyes drifting off to the ceiling as she spoke. Honestly, most would feel bad fighting this woman, she never really seemed to know what she was even doing half the time. Was it okay to duel her in this state? Though then again, it's a 'state' she's constantly in. "Maybeee..." She paused, staring up at the ceiling, "Not too much of the zappy stuff. I just wanna use my sword."

"Yes, I can!" She snapped back, slamming down a pouch of jewels on the table and grabbing a handful of the herbs before putting it in a wicker basket she was carrying. Her face was all red and her cheeks had puffed up, there was a mixture of fierce determination and worry in her eyes, but she was going to see this through. "First of all, I'm a woman. And my name is Bonnie." Flicking her hair back, she'd step away from the stall slightly to arrange her basket of goods. Inside were the poisonous herbs she just bought, a small bread roll, a dead beetle, odd socks and some ribbons. It was quite visible to anyone nearby, the strange armoured woman fiddling about with the most peculiar bits'n'bobs that she had acquired. "I'm shopping?" She would reply, "Never know what I want until I see it, and I wanted those herbs. So I bought it."That's when it hit her, the sudden realisation that she just spent the last of her months wages on poisonous herbs. And there was still a week left until the guild gave her some sort of allowance. Of course, she could go out and do a mission, but that was too stressful and she didn't like scary monsters or working hard.

Bonnie felt a little more relaxed, lowering her legs back down to the ground and wiggling out of the back of the chair. "You want to fight me?" She said, confused and shocked. "But what if I lose?"Surely the whole fight of 'sparring' was to have a winner, and Bonnie preferred to avoid situations where she could lose altogether. Despite this, she was still standing up from the chair, and shoved the cloth she cleaned her sword with into her pocket. "And just for the record, I could do a mission whenever I wanted to. I just choose not to." She turned her nose up, and then strutted away with Heart-Eater firmly in her grip. Her body was doing everything she said she wasn't, completely differing from the lazy and timid woman that she made out to be. "Well? We're not fighting inside the guild are we?" She smiled, though once she said it out loud, it sounded like the best place to fight. "Actually..."

Staring even harder at the stall now, her brain had become jumble of confusing thoughts and facts about poisonous plants. She did her best to remember everything she knew about tea and herbs, but it just made her head hurt even more. If it were possible, there would be steam escaping out her ears. "I... Do have a brain." She confirmed, tapping her head and frowning. "I think with it every day."Being completely serious, she crossed her arms and watched as the stranger started giving her a lecture on all the different plants. She literally got up to hearing about the red clover before her mind switched off, her mouth suddenly agape and drooling as she imagined herself eating cake. Bonnie pictured herself on a large open field, with the sun shining down on her as she lay on a blanket, tea set arranged and sweet treats stacked as high as the sky. "you followin' me? there's a few more over he--" Bonnie suddenly snapped back into reality, wiping away the drool from her mouth and glancing around, as if she had been thrust into a new world and had no idea where she was. "I- Uh, yes. Woman leaf, Bee bums. Got it!"In all honesty, she was annoyed that someone had made her out to be silly and was now telling her about one of her favourite hobbies - tea making. Getting all red and huffy, she would abruptly point at the poisonous brambles and herbs before shouting. "I want these ones!"

Suddenly, everyone chimed in to help Bonnie out with her loss for words. People here were so helpful here like that, and she couldn't help but smile in response and give a nod in response. "Yes! That's exactly what I was going to say!" She continued to nibble away at her watermelon slice, the juices dripping all down her chin and neck. Thankfully for her, she didn't really care. Instead, she watched with a blank expression as a chair flew through the air towards Orion, she never really understood why he was the target of such furniture, but it was a common sight in Cait Shelter. Perhaps she should join in one day as well? Bonnie, being quite simple and basically broken, did not stop after she finished eating the pink part of the watermelon. Instead, she continued to chew on the tough rind, gnawing away and biting down firmly as she crunched and chewed. Nobody told her not to eat the whole thing, and she wanted to be polite and eat what was given to her. "The smell?" She asked, chewing and wincing at the toughness, "Orion's smell?"Quince Haven II Notorious B.I.G. Orion Prima

Feeling very on the spot, she had definitely tried to retreat further back into the comfy chair. There were so many eyes on her, all annoyed and perhaps even angry at her. She had stopped cleaning her sword, and her knees were slightly raised to hide herself. Before anyone else had a dig at her, Orion would wander over towards her. "I have enough money." She pouted, though that was definitely not the case. "And nope, not a requip mage. I just use this sword."Bonnie held it up, an ugly looking thing with a few strips of cloth wrapped around the base of the blade. It didn't match the rest of her appearance at all, not when it was dark and rusted, quite a Gothic-looking weapon in fact. It was her pride and joy, and something she would cherish forever. Her memory was always hazy, but she knew this was something that she had had for many years, almost like a dear friend. "I think I prefer swords to ka- katan..." Bonnie forgot how to pronounce it, "...Your sword."

"Hmm." Bonnie hummed to herself while sat by the guild fireplace, her legs crossed over as she was nestled away in a comfy chair. Her sword was laid across her lap, old and weathered and almost rusty looking. It didn't look like it would survive a single fight, yet it still sung with the sweet melody of magic to those more finely attuned to sensing ethernano. With a cloth in her hand, she wiped it along the metal, cleaning it as best she could, though nothing would remove the colour of age. "Bonnie, when was the last time you did a mission?" A guild member would ask her, an exceed who had been watching her clean her sword for almost an hour. She looked up, shocked, "A mission?""Well, yeah. That's why you're in the guild right? Everyone has to pull their weight around here." They hopped up on a chair opposite her, their tone of voice clearly annoyed. "You've been here for almost a year now, and honestly, I don't think we've ever really seen you use your sword."Bonnie wasn't sure what to say at all, she was slightly upset by this sudden confrontation and a little lost for words. "Well, I- I... What's wrong with just relaxing here with all of you? It's much more fun. Besides, I'm a delicate lady who needs protecting." "You wear a suit of armour and carry a magical sword around."By this point, a group of the guild members had gathered around, people who shared the same opinions on her but were too afraid to admit it. After all, Bonnie was nothing but sweet. She caused no trouble, and her presence was relaxing to be around. But she was considered lazy. "Are you saying I'm supposed to... Work to stay here?"

"What?" Bonnie replied quickly, spinning on her heel and staring directly into the man's eyes. She did not mean it in a hostile way, her expression was still quite soft and neutral, her eyes wide with worry and confusion. Yes, she was definitely broken in some regard. "Oh." She turned back around to face the stall, then looked up at the merchant who was still nervously shuffling around. "Did you ask me something?" At this point, the merchant just shook his head. Bonnie was far from intimidating, but there was something about the lack of life in her eyes and tenseness in her movement that made it seem that way. She was like a frightened deer that could just as easily lash out if someone made any sudden movements. This lasted a little too long, making the air quite uncomfortable. It was like her brain took ten times longer to process everything around her, a constant delay in reactions. Suddenly, she smiled and clapped her hands, making everyone nearby jump. "Ah! Sorry! I was just wondering," She suddenly took a very confident pose, hand on waist and lips pouting as she pointed to the fruit and herbs. "Do you think the pink fluffy leaf would taste nicer in a tea, or the orange brambles?"Finally, the merchant took a few steps forwards, his eyebrows furrowed. "M- Ma'am, that's poison.""Oh."

A plate of sliced watermelon was passed over to her, and she stared at it for a while, almost unsure what to do with it. Koji had headed off with a slice of his own, and Bonnie glanced over as he chomped down on it. "Yes... Take one." She would repeat, as if she had forgotten what words meant. Reaching out, she would gingerly pick up a slice between her fingers and hold it up like a dead animal, sniffing it to confirm it wasn't poisonous. It smelt like nothing in particular, so she took a small nibble at the end, and was pleasantly surprised. "Oh."Continuing to nibble on the fruit, she was delicate and slow with it, and turned to face Koji with a mouthful when he asked her a question about cats. "Why would I join a guild just to pet cats?" She asked, confused and slightly concerned. She did not truly understand humour, and took things quite literally. "I thought guilds are for... Um..." She paused, her brain grinding to a halt as she thought to hard. Quince Haven II Notorious B.I.G. Orion Prima

Bonnie had been wandering around the guild aimlessly, gawking at piece of furniture and cat themed decorations. She barely said anything, but instead made confused sounds and high pitched squeaks as she prodded at rugs, scratch poles and picture frames. A few gave her some odd looks, but at this point, it was such a common sight to see the armoured warrior act oddly and space out over something completely irrelevant. With a hand rested on the hilt of her blade, she'd next march over to the kitchen, her armour making slight clinks as she moved. "Oh, what are you making? Is it fish?" She would ask, staring intently at the watermelon as Koji cut it up. She knew very well that watermelon was not a type of fish, but the words still slipped out of her mouth anyway. It did take her a moment or two to realise this, however. "Oh, wait. That's a... A watermelon. Yes." She leaned in, giving it a quick sniff, "Is it poisonous?"

"Hmmm..." A finger rested gently on her chin, eyes narrowed ever so slightly as to hint at a somewhat quizzical nature behind the tough armour and aloof personality. Bonnie stood in front of a small stall, with various fruits and herbs laid out on it. The owner, a small exceed with peach coloured fur, would nervously wait behind as they watched Bonnie thoroughly inspect her wares.
"C- Can I help you?"
There was no response, she simply continued staring at the different coloured herbs and small handful of berries. It wasn't the most fruitful of stalls, but it had enough to sell to provide enough jewel for the exceed to scrape by. With the absence of a reply, the cat simply retreated back to a wooden chair and continued to watch the warrior.
By this point, Bonnie was so engrossed in inspecting everything that she was no totally unaware of her surroundings, as well as the concerned owner. Her intentions were yet to be known.
