Kasumi had expected that her fist wouldn't do much damage against the phantom as it's phantasmal state allow it to mitigate most of her damage. Nodding to Berry in acknowledgement of her curing her muscle fatigue, she watched as the ghost slayer followed up the attack by embracing the ghost? It made her raise her eyebrow at first before before she notice Berry change shape and an explosion followed. As she did not dive into cover, a large part of her face and her body was completely smeared with the ectoplasmic goo after the explosion.

Using her fingers to scoop up some of the goo, her cheek blushed slightly as she smelled a familiar scent from it. Even the pain the ghost unleashed upon them dulls down to a slight ache courtesy of the healing properties of said goop. Her breathe becomes even more heated as her cheek turns pink once more, after recognizing just what the goop that covered her are made of.

"My mistake. I look forward to you "fixing" me. This particular ghost is rather tough though...we should consider experimenting that."

Kasumi was being vague for a reason as she did not want to inform the spectre the plan she had considered. This ghost seems to be the perfect candidate for that, as it possess certain amount of robustness. But first she would distract the ghost by performing twin light jabs as opposed to the power jab she used earlier.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: Kasumi's gloves are weighted-knuckled gloves, with the studs attached to them act as weights that increase the weight behind her attacks. It also acted as a protection for her hand should she decide to block or grab attacks that are directed towards her.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: Sand. It's all coarse, and rough, and irritating. And it gets everywhere. Sand elementals – bodies held together by the realm of the mind – their forms were taken home by the three Odin's Spear mages, glutinously stuck to them and the vechile they drove. Their arrival home bestowed upon them the opportunity to investigate three small sphere's of gold. Each picked one up and found, depending on their thoughts, the spheres melting away into sand only to reform if they willed it.
The high attack power of the elementals they fought was revealed by the razor-sharp granules of the golden sand. Each realized the best application was to think the sands over their preferred weapon. It would coat the weapon in gold, sharpening and enhancing what magic ran through it to deliver stronger basic attacks.
Basic Attack damage is increased by 0.1X (0.5X --> 0.6X).

Like curtains that had caught flame, the ghost found their ends erupt in flames. It had no idea how to react to such a quick and chaotic attack. The spiralling upwards left him staring up at her in a flux of hesitation and confusion. He moved back slightly, but just an inch or two; but by that time, the weapon already passed through him. He drifted there with the least amount of movement possible, attempting to both determine what happened and what was bout to. That's when he lit in flames, then burst into a large mass of them until every inch of him was swept in the torrent of benighted fire. When the flames burned no more, there was nothing left behind. His wails had long-since ceased.

At first, Berry was unsure if the attack would find purchase. Less accurate than Kasumi, piloting the body posed its own set of risks. Relying on her own accuracy to connect with the creature, she predicted through a brain who assimilated the characteristics of a super computer that she had a slim chance of missing, and prolonging the bout more. It would have been bad for her psychologically, because as frivolous as she was, she wanted to show Kasumi that she had what it took to be a powerful mage as well. Gone were the days where she let others do all the work while she repeated the benefits, in were the days where she showed how useful and vital she could be. And the phantasm eluding her assault would have made that null.

Especially after the cool lines she delivered.

However, the strawberry blonde managed to succeed with the Unison Raid, and delivered massive damage to the creature. As though burning a slip of paper, she reduced its body to nothingness. The odd thing was, the ghost’s remains still wafted through the air—it was like cooking a piece of meat for her. Siphoning the remnants into herself, she used the being for sustenance and replenished what magic she lost in the process of felling the monster. The flavour of extra crispy bacon flooded her senses, though not to the point of being blackened and inedible; a bit of a singe for that additional crunch.

Confidence permeated through her in abundance, enough to mirror that amount of delight coursing through her system after dining on another spectre. Listening to Kasumi’s thoughts, she was glad that she enjoyed the large sum of power achieved through their fusion. Even more alluring was the idea that, should she continue to cultivate her strength, it would be even more effective when the duo pooled their efforts.

All good things needed to end, however, and Berry withdrew her phantasmal state from Kasumi’s body, reverting her appearance to normal. From what she ascertained from the surroundings; she neutralized all the remaining threats. From the first horde of ghosts to the powerful one thereafter, naught remained but the duo.

”Of course we did. There’s nothing we can’t pull off together, huh?” The woman answered, sliding her hands into her hoodie’s pockets once more. It seemed that the Test of Courage was completed, and lo and behold, she did feel as though their bond had been strengthened from the ordeal. Though she still had her doubts about the effectiveness of the charms, she shrugged and released a dry chuckle buried under an equally barren breath.
