MISSION NAME: Forest 'nymphs' CLIENT: Nearby Town CHARACTERS: Bonnie & Mint Everett-Bailey MISSION BRIEFING: Something has stirred the forests and its creatures. The animals have grown smart, almost as if they were people, it's impossible to track and hunt them down for meat. Some are brave enough to enter the village, and steal things like jewellery and clothes. These are definitely not normal traits of creatures like deer, mice birds etc. They always end up back in the forest, venturing too far for us townsfolk to go. We need mages to investigate this, in case its something too dangerous. This was... Her first proper mission she had ever done. Bonnie had been part of the guild, yet the only real jobs she did was cleaning the guild hall and collecting herbs for locals. She was nervous, terrified in fact, but also excited to see what exactly missions involve.
She remembers doing some long ago, but can't remember when, why or where. It was all a fog, impossible to penetrate. Standing at the edge of the forest, Bonnie was adjusting her armour before placing her hand on the hilt of her ancient blade, and waited for her 'mission partner', or whatever they're called.

The prospect of "human"-level intelligence in animals had drawn Salvatore, the secret nature lover's, attention. Part of him had wondered if it had anything to do with his kind, something he desperately wanted to know about even if the opportunity seemed impossible. But maybe, he had thought, maybe today was the day he'd find out more.
He was to meet another who took up the mission on the threshold of the forest, just before the small town's clearing ended. His wings hummed behind him in a blur as he advanced, emerald orbs searching the outskirts for a humanoid silhouette. It wasn't long before he found it, landing nearby with an expression torn between annoyance and pouting. He was very much distracted by the prospect of.. fairies. Too much so to be too aggravated with life.
"Yo. Mission?"

Oh wow, Bonnie was not expecting for her partner to arrive like this. Fluttering down to the ground, his huge insect wings coming to a halt. Bonnie was a little surprised at first, and held a hand over her mouth, "Yes! Mission..." Was this how all missions started? Did she have to introduce herself? The other person didn't, so she decided not to. "Um, let's go then." She nodded, picking up her basket and hanging it from her arm, then began walking in. As she did so, she'd reach into her wicker basket and pull out a small, sweet muffin that she had made herself. "Cake?"

Even with the possibility of maybe meeting some fae kind had calmed his expression, her hand-over-mouth reaction to his arrival had dissuaded that entirely. Tch. He knew not everyone had met his kind before. Hell, he hadn't even met another one. But.. did people have to gawk?
Eyes narrowed, he'd merely nod and follow her forward, not wanting to fly and lost track of her in case trouble showed up. Wandering forests anymore was rarely advisable for ground-bound humanoids, given the sheer amount of magical beasts that bred like rabbits and populated them. "Eh, no thanks." His stomach growled though, audible for the both of them to hear. Even so, his vegan ways would keep his desire for food under wraps.
"You're a mage, right? I don't want you slowing me down if not."

"Okay." She replied, not fussed by him turning it down. She'd take a bite out of it herself, nibbling it at bit by bit. Eventually she just got bored though, and tried to fit as much of it as she could into her gob at a time. Bonnie stepped over some overgrown roots, and had to duck under low hanging branches. This forest was quite peculiar, everything looked double the size compared to the ruins of buildings that had mainly been reduced to rubble. Hearing the winged man ask her a question, she'd stop and turn to him, her mouth full of cake. "Of course!" crumbs sprayed out of her mouth, and it was kind of hard to understand what she was saying when she poke, "I have a magic sword and everything. I- I wont hold you back!" Her cheeks went red, not from embarrassment of pigging out on cake, but because she didn't feel very confident enough in her ability as a mage.

When she turned to answer him, a crumb flew out and smacked him right on the cheek. He came to a sudden halt, as if he had been assaulted by a fatal attack. Blinking, he wasn't sure if he was angry, grossed out, shocked or just damn right amused.
He'd casually wipe away at his cheek, his lips pursuing as an attempt to cover up the fact that it threatened to break way for a smirk. Apparently the answer was amused.
"Cool then." He'd notice the pigment of her cheeks, but decided to take her word for it. If she wasn't as skilled as she said, he would just wrap some dust around her and fly off in the case of something life-threatening.
Continuing onward, he'd quietly appreciate the beautiful scenery unfolding around them. But it was notably quiet. As a avid forest visitor, this one was eerily soundless. Almost as if every animal within several miles radius had just up and moved.

Bonnie looked very out of place in this scenery, although she loved having picnics in cute spots like this, it's just not where you'd expect to see a woman dressed in armour and wielding a cursed sword. The other however, was literally a fairy, and looked like you'd expect to find him living here in the treetops. "I thought we were supposed to come across super smart animals or something?" She spat once more, most of the cake had been eaten at this point, but she was just messy. There wasn't any signs of birds or small mammals, not even sounds from them. "Reckon we have to keep going further in?"

"Looks like it."
He'd pause a moment, to listen. But there wasn't a peep anywhere. All he could hear was the soft clinking from the woman's armor and the sound of flora brushing from the breeze. Frowning, he'd offer a faster solution of travel, "I can fly us farther in at a faster pace?"
Otherwise, who knows, we might be walking for hours.
There was definitely something off about the forest, but so far, there were no real signs to what they were looking for.

Big ol' Nymphs [mission/ closed]

] Bonne finally swallowed the last of her cake, pulling out a napkin from her pocket and wiped her mouth with it. She was very confused, originally expecting this forest to be filled with monsters or angry animals. But this was quiet, though she actually quite liked the peacefulness of it all. “Fly us in?” She’d ask slowly, raising an eyebrow out of curiosity. “That does sound super fun, and fast too!” Tightening the straps on her basket, she’d make sure it was firmly closed before checking the strap of her sword as well. When she was happy with everything, she’d give a quick nod to the fairy boy and smile. “All ready.” at that same time, there would be a rustle in the distance. A small baby deer was standing between some trees, watching the two very closely before farting off.

He had began to make a magic carpet for the girl to pop onto when he finally heard something break the silence. Jade colored optics quickly shifted in the direction it came from, where the disappearing ass of a deer scrambled off deeper into the woods. "Ey!"
Without waiting, he'd suddenly take off across the soft forest floor, his long strides throwing him into a fast run. It wasn't often he "hunted" down such creatures, but this wasn't going to end bloody and it part of the mission at hand. "Wait!" If these creatures were more intelligent than the average ones, then he hoped it would heed his command. And also hoped the girl could keep up given all the armor potentially there to slow her down.

Watching in awe as green glittery magic wove itself together into a carpet of sorts, hovering above the ground. She reached out to touch it, feeling a momentary feeling of warmth coming from it before the fairy-man made her jump. "What is it?!" She gasped, almost dropping her basket. He had already ran off, his wings giving him a slight head start as he started running after the creature that she only caught a glimpse of. Not wasting time, she also began her pursuit after the small mammal. Was it a deer? She had forgotten the word for it, but she was fairly certain it wasn't a frog. "D- Don't let it get away!" She called out, a little behind her partner but keeping up all the same. Her senses sharpened when she was focused, and she deftly avoided branches or roots that obstructed her. Bounding and leaping away, the deer was quick to escape. It would occasionally look back to see if the others will still chasing them, and soon it would be accompanied by another deer that leapt into view, also running away alongside it. Soon, there would be more animals, birds singing in treetops and rabbits bouncing around in a panic. They all seemed to be going in one general direction, the only question was 'where?'

He could hear the footfalls of the woman behind him, and it was enough to comfort him that she was not getting lost. It allowed him to chase after the deer without letting up on the power of his trailing, forever keeping the creature in sight even if it was several meters away.
Within no time the deer was accompanied by another, and then, over several more meters of activity, more and more animals began to run alongside it. It was unnatural behavior for wildlife to run together in such a way -- and to him, someone who frequented the forest for fun, it was bizarre indeed. He was confused as to what was happening but also immensely curious, an interest that broke into excitement as his lips made way for a small smirk.
"We aren't here to hurt you!"
He spoke in vain though, he assumed, as the creatures ran in such a straightforward way it made him think they were hoping the pair would follow them rather than an act of them trying to escape.

It was like something out of a fairy tale, a huge group of forest creatures all running together in the wilderness. Bonnie didn't spend much time with animals, yet even she knew this was very odd behaviour for them, but hadn't cottoned onto the fact that they might be purposely leading them this way. Gaining a short burst of speed, the animals would disappear through a wall of greenery. Intertwining flowers decorated the makeshift barrier of luscious green leaves and bronzed branches. Strangely, it was like it parted ways to allow for small enough gaps for the animals to pass through, and when the others reached it, the wall would do the same. "This isn't normal." She muttered to herself, extending a hand forwards. The closer she got to the plants, the further apart it split. Whatever had caused them to arrive here clearly wanted them to venture further.

"What.." His question slipped out loud as a wall of greenery split itself several times for the various creatures that ran to it. They'd go beyond and it'd recover, contorting to it's own fullness each time. He didn't want to lose them so he charged straight into it too, and to his relief, it also parted for him to run through.
On the other side the animals were waiting.. lined up in two separate lines, to create a path for he and Bonnie to follow. They were sitting, their collective gazes following the two humanoids that they had baited.
His motion had turned into a slow walk, and he'd glance behind at the armor'd woman, a questioning expression touring his pierced facade. "I think we just walked into a fairy tail." For once his voice wasn't drowned in aggression, but instead it dripped with casual wonder.

Big ol' Nymphs [mission/ closed]
Oct 2, 2019 14:16:32 GMT

"You can say that again." She only jut managed to whisper, too awestruck by the beauty and fantastical environment around her. Bonnie stepped through the last of the magical barrier of plants, the thing finally closing behind her. The forest was different here, more vibrant and alive. The forest creatures they had chased were lined up like soldiers, their heads bowed down as they created a makeshift line for them to walk down. Bonnie began walking forwards, the sky above slightly obscured by a canopy of floating snowdrops and blossoms, each side an expanse to an emerald glade where she might expect gnomes and nymphs to live. But straight ahead, at the end of the path, was a gigantic tree taller than any she had ever seen. Surrounding it were giant vines, and two large rocks seemed to be leaning against them. But when she got closer, the large mass of huge vines began to shift slowly, cracking and groaning from the movement as the tree branches shook and leaves began to fall. Bonnie took a step back, suddenly frightened when the rocks began to reshape themselves in the form of two beautiful women, women that were 50 feet tall and composed of nothing but natural elements. One smiled at them, the other seemed cross and disgruntled. The more she observed, the sooner she realised they were part of the tree, bound to it by rocks and vines. "Ah, finally, they arrive." The happier one said, her voice reminiscent of a gentle breeze. "Took too long, and look at them. Puny and pathetic, lets send them back." The other said, her voice like trees snapping and rocks grinding together. "Sister, you know just as well they are not your regular people. Yes, the forest has already told us."
