OST, ft. Ivory & Kasumi

The monthly tournament was upon them again, and this time Ivory was quite excited. After all, compared to the many years before, they had finally recruited a few mages who could rival her. One such mage happened to be her first opponent: Kasumi Ito. A woman she had grown rather fond of over the passed few weeks. One who she was certain could give her a run for her money, especially if her physical constitution and fire-power had increased in equal measure from when they had first battled.

In fact, the idea of their battle made her heart flutter ever so slightly; wondering if the girl would best her. Such a consideration was something she hadn't had ever since her joining, as no one but AJ had seemed a worthy opponent. But frankly: she wouldn't be surprised if it did happen! And that was filling her with a sense elation she hadn't experienced before.

Waiting across the warehouse, across from Kasumi, she'd throw up a peace sign, issuing her good will and amusement.

"You ready for this, little lady?"

"Excellent! I know you won't let me down. I'm sure you're grown into quite a little beasty." Her enthusiastic grin was abruptly warped, as a massive ivory maw sprouted from it, until her entire body was consumed by that of a huge werewolf. It'd give a howl, throwing it's large cranium upward, an outburst that, despite it's deep octave, was clearly one of excitement.

Then, without further ado, her massive frame was jolting across the warehouse's broken up floor, carried on all fours. She wasn't going to play as nicely as she had before, but she didn't intend on going all out either. Not yet.

Hurling herself through the air, Ivory's hulking wolfish form would try to throw itself ontop of Kasumi whilst simultaneously surrounding itself with fire, wanting to use sheer weight as her first attack. Though she was not worried about her claws doing too much accidental damage themselves - with Berry nearby, she knew any damage inflicted upon Kas would be reversible.

Kasumi did well to hold out against her attack; she wasn't entirely blown away this time, in fact! Ivory would've been smiling had the lycan allowed her too, but instead it just appeared as a vicious reveal of pearly fangs. The woman's kick sent her backward, a heavy blow to her chest — exponentially more powerful than it had been during their first bout! Perhaps even stronger than me now.. She skid backwards, a tail wagging with amusement as her front claws dug into the scrap metal flooring. "I knew you'd surpass me. You're almost there already. Maybe I won't be walking away from this as the victor after all~" She'd breath in sharply then, and instead of closing the distance with another physical bounce, she'd expel a stream of flames at the purplette.

Despite the woman's humble announcement, Ivory knew it was misplaced. The woman had absolutely excelled in ways she hadn't imagined was possible for one to reach in such a short amount of time. She had even taken her fire blast without anything to defend but her body and passive magic enhancement. Such a thing would've torn her in half before. But now? Now she charged through it arms up, to deliver a blow edging on the side of insanity. To take the flame like that.. what a crazy girl!

Wonder who she got that from?

Ivory grunted in retort, before suddenly snapping at the woman's whose body was so near now. Her mouth engulfing itself in flames once more as she tried to bite into the woman's shoulder, hoping to lessen at least half of her future punching attack power.

Ivory's eyes temporarily watched as purple strands of hair floated away in the wake of her maw's unsuccessful chomping. That minute distraction, that single space of time.. was enough to garner her two powerful thrusts into either sides of her chest. She groaned, growled, blood spattering out of a snow-y maw, as her rib cage felt the impact of a force strong enough to demolish a regular man -- or twelve.

She'd respond with jolt forward, literally headbutting the woman -- an animalistic response if there ever was one. She was on fire, literally; her entire body engulfed in it. She wanted to keep the fight in close range, but, couldn't help the flames that had burst all over. Enough so that they burned up the blood that had dripped from her maw, leaving it stainless. Her fire was there for two purposes; to burn and to sap. Trying to restore some of her own vitality in the process of being within range of the other.

"You underestimate your own self, I think."

The whole point of the lycan was to throw around it's weight. After her headbutt connected and Kasumi attempted another frontal assault, Ivory would momentarily leap out of the way — the action providing as a dodge and a preparation. For once she leap backward she also simultaneously contracted her muscles into a jumping position, quickly bounding back toward the purplette immediately after. She bounced in such a way that she was practically on two feet, her upper limps spread out to swipe at the woman with powerful downward smash — she'd send an additional bundle of flames in the process, creating an echo of fire that shot off her thrust. If it had been any one else before her, the swipe would've easily broke or knocked the victim to the earth, to leave her massive form to hover over it. But she knew Kasumi would handle it with finesse and determination.

Ivory would've felt bad for the damage she had incurred — even she could feel the impact against the woman's body as having been excessively rough — but she knew that the more pain Kasumi was introduced to the tougher she'd be later on. This was a spar, yes, but it was also.. an introduction to live and death situations beyond Odin's Spears walls. If they hadn't had such a proficient healer, she would of no doubt held back more. But she cared for Kasumi and so.. she wanted her to suffer. She wanted her to experience the dangers that mages themselves posed: because not everyone out in the world was a friendly. Hell, even the beasts sometimes provided a tougher challenge than one could ever imagine — like the Zombie Mother fucktwat. Kasumi needed this experience. And so did she: she needed to be reminded that she wasn't actually an impervious mage standing on top of the world.

She was proud: that pride swelled inside as Kasumi, nearly topless now, and singed red, came at her in quick response despite the unsettled breathing pattern taking her over. Her chest was pounded into; accepting it several times before she abruptly shoved her weight into the punches, still lit on fire. This immense weight would likely and potentially twist the woman's eager wrists and/or elbows -- as well was it an attempt to knock her off her feet or twist an ankle; basically hoping the surprise force would provide it's own attack toward the woman's rigid and prepared stance. All the while grimacing through the pain permeating her wolven pecks — damn the purplette could really lay on the punches.
