Orion was ready. He had been preparing for the mission he took recently, a kill-creature one, which seemed easy when he read it. Now that he had talked to some of the villagers, he was not quite sure if it was a good idea to accept the mission in the first place. A mythical creature, they said, was the target. A creature so strong that most of the residents seem to tremble at the thought of it possibly attacking the city.
By the grace of whatever god, the Dire Wolf seemed to not be aiming its sights on the city at all, preferring to roam and disrupt the peace of the villagers who made a living hunting animals in the wild. It still had to be stopped. Killed, more so, and Orion was one of the two wizards hired to do it.
"Fuckin' hell," Orion cursed under his breath, taking a huge gulp of his beer as the thought of facing a Dire Wolf in the morrow invaded his thought. He had the mind to just up and leave during the night, maybe think of an excuse to not have to go at all.
"More, more beer here," he waved at the barkeep to pour more into his mug, which was already half-empty. The bar had been close to closing, and it had been him left at the counter. The door jingled, however, and he turned towards the newcomer, and waved a friendly wave. "Last call is soon, just so you know." He had just been informed by the barkeep, so he thought he'd be a friendly bloke to the woman.
